Creative Mode: Paintable asphalt texture, and "tool tips", and editable signs

  • We have many textures we can "paint" on the terrain with the F5 #3 tool. Love this! However, I would really like to see a few manmade textures added to this tool as well. Specifically asphalt, or other concrete type surfaces. These would be useful for roads or walkways or large areas where we don't want to put construction blocks.


    (I love the natural texture blocks, BTW. Those have been useful too!) And I just discovered the floating algae (or duckweed?) plant that you can place on water! How cool is that?! <3


    Tool tips for creative mode. I would love to see more of this hinting system implemented for all the creative tools show up on screen. (Maybe with an option to turn them off if you want.) There are just so many different tools and ways to move/modify elements that it's super tough to just know or remember how to do the thing you need to do!


    While I am at it, more types of flowers and colorful ground cover (smaller flowers). Perhaps smaller flowers could be implemented as "paintable" like the grasses.


    Seems like signs cannot be edited once you have added your text and clicked, OK? Am I wrong? Could we have the signs remain an editable object?

    Point the cursor at the sign, press "F," and in the radial menu that appears, click "Edit."


    As far as I know, in the future we should be able to select multiple plants using the F6 tool and "paint" them using Function 2.

    However, even now, Function 2 already places multiple plants of the same type.

    I expect that with the new biomes—which are still to come—new terrain types will arrive as well.
