When we place an item to be displayed in an ornamental fashion, often it will not appear when relogging into the game. We have found that eventually it does but sometimes it can take even a few actual days later for it to appear.

Did it happen in multiplayer or singleplayer? There was indeed an issue before the hotfix, which caused items to be sporadically invisible if there were thousands or tens of thousands of items (which mainly happened on multiplayer servers). However, this should be fixed with the latest hotfix. But if you still run into this issue, please let me know
