I have an mac osx 10.6.8 and when I try to open the game up on steam it crashes and says steam osx has exited and sometimes my mac crashes too and I have to restart my computer. Will updating my OSX help?

Yes, minimum requirement is unfortunately OSX 10.9. So updating to 10.9 or higher should solve the issues, but if they still persist, please let us know
