memory problem

The next update will be available on Wednesday, December 18, in the early evening (GMT+1).

  • if i look at used memory (f3) i start at -+400mb
    when i stick around where i build it max go to 700-800
    but when i fly away start at x2044 z-950 to x2901 z1686 (coordinates)
    the memory is at max 2112 mb
    and the game freezes open taskmanager to quit game
    there is some topic about this but can't find it sorry
    but i think there is a way in command to delete world parts or chunks or sommething like that
    does anyone know
    i can only fly about 5-10 min
    and with the upcomming biomes d'like to explore for days not minutes
    or is there a way to lift up the max memory

  • The next update will reduce memory usage at all. Until then, you can use the consolecommand "clearworldparts" as soon as the game stutters.
    Alternatively you can also assign more memory to the game. It depends on how much memory you have. E.g. when you have at least 8 GB or more, you can add the launch option "+memory 3072 3072" (without quot. marks), you can do that by rightclicking on RW in Steam -> Properties -> Set launch options

  • i've got 16 gig ddr3
    2gig grafic mem



    i have 32gigs and 4 gig card most the time you can use video card men + free system shared memory for me my total video memory is 20gig depending on the apps i have open and what im doing so i set mine to this setting +memory 8192 8192 witch i often go above 4gig but please note after your video cards memory is used up the game will start to use system memory witch in most cases is shower and can on some systems be worse then not using that non system ram.
