  • Sounds nice, good idea! :) Only thing you can't do this way is something like master-keys, but I guess that doesn't matter.


    Lockable doors anyway only make sense in combination with a lua script for example. Otherwise you could simply destroy a locked door, or dig a hole through the wall next to it^^

  • ok thats true. Maybe the check methode to proof if a key unlocks the door must be a bit better. A master key needs a generates key with a special format the it can open doors witch a vertain area of numbers.


    That brings me some good point: Since master keys are freaking expensive in real world...you should do the same here :D
    By the way...keycards (like in hotels) are compareable to keys...just another mesh...so maybe a good idea to implement them also (shouldn`t be that much work).

  • We will think about a way how to implement something like master keys ^^ But lockable doors don't have a very high priority anyway, so it takes some more time.
    But yes, keycards should be no problem, so when we introduce keys, we will also introduce keycards ;)

  • But to have locked doors Dev would have to turn off ( or give Server owners the means to) F2 flying/ no clip. If the Dev could come up with a way to fly with no clip that would be great... Wings maybe :P:D ??
