Money!

If you search the fora for "money" or "economy", you'll see that these aspects have been discussed at length and several proposals have been made.

There are also a few plug-ins which add some form of money. Not many and not all readily available; partly because server owners tend to be privy on that and partly because money make sense in a context where there is an economy and player exchanges are functional to the progression of the game work-flow (if this is not the case, then money is mostly a 'decoration'), which is not the case (yet?) for RW.

i think it would be better to leave the money question to the plug-in section instead for in the game direct.
some people want to be able to try bartering or resource-based economy instead.

and there will be some form of easy economy system for the npcs but when you want a bigger form of economy system you'll have to look at the plug-in section.

fairness for all

it would be nice to add some money to the game, so there is no barter to take resources.

as i said before money and bartering is not the only economic systems

I want this game to be a bit like minecraft in that regard that it doesn't force you to use money or bartering,
so yes there could be a form of money or bartering in the game between players and npcs and if some one whant's to extend that on a server the should be able to do so,
but if I don't want a money or bartering system on my private server i shouldn't have to be forced to.

in fact it must not be a constraint. sorry, I wrote wrong. my idea, they are aesthetic money that you could use for those who want to trade.

Actually, I think a money system would be great. It's simple and intuitive and, I mean, it could totally be disabled if people prefer it.

I'd personally prefer something that isn't pennies and dollars. If we're going to go and be typical, I'd prefer copper - silver - gold.

i think it's better to let the plugins and mods fix that like in minecraft and in RW it's possible to make object based mod server side only so you don't have to take it with you every where and mods support is going to be more advanced later on to

where did you find money 3D models in game files? I have been through all of them and didn't find any reference to money
