Can't get past the JIW sceen

A new update is now available, introducing a lot of new content!
Latest hotfix: 0.7.5.2 (2024-09-10)
  • When I start the game from Steam it just stays at the JIW logo screen. I have been looking through many forms trying to fine the solution but haven't found any that helps. I have two error logs (see below). I would really like some help as the game looks interesting.

  • I was also getting this after I reset my computer and had to reinstall Rising world. For some reason the game would only continue past the JIW screen if the steam window was closed, so try opening the game and then close the steam windows right before the game starts. This may not be the answer, but that's just what I found, however it could just be a coincidence and just be something else entirely.

  • There are two problems according to the errorlog:


    Graphics: Intel(R) HD Graphics Family Vendor: Intel OpenGL version: 3.1.0 - Build 8.15.10.2462


    This indicates that this is most likely an Intel HD 3000. The version 8.xx does not work with the game, since this driver has some bugs related to OpenGL. Intel already fixed the bugs for later driver versions, so you should update your Intel driver.
    If you have a secondary graphics card alternatively, you need to assign it manually to the game :)


    com.jme3.asset.AssetNotFoundException: MatDefs/General/StaticLightingMaterial.j3md


    This indicates that some gamefiles are missing (maybe something went wrong when downloading). Just download the game again. But if you have reinstalled the game anyways, this problem might be solved already (only the problem with the graphics card remaining^^)
