possible glitch with new lanterns

I searched but found no light glitch etc..

I've started a new world. Placed several of the new lanterns (the cylinder shape one with flame) on the ceiling of a cave. While using the sledgehammer to flatten the floor this happened:

It would turn on and off almost every time I used the sledgehammer or pickaxe. Sorry if this has been brought up.

Ok thanks man. I haven't seen it before so thought it might have been the new lantern.
