Server is bracing itself for impact!
*fizzle fizzle fizzle* Water and servers do not mix. -
I'm pretty sure that in the current implementation of the game that the ore spawn rate is higher when cave generation is turned off. This way you stand a better chance of finding ores. Ofcourse, you can still manipulate the ore spawn rate ontop of that when initially generating the world.

The Last Crucade really was an excellent movie.

Sounds great! Have you decided on re-using the same Audio Pizza music?

As much as I love the original trailer for this game, I figured once we have water and the new character models that it might be time to make an updated trailer. Same music and all but without the head nodding to epic music at 1:05 (as funny as it is). It should showcase some of the best player builds too and show multiplayer worlds

Last I heard from Red on Steam is that it should be early next week or the week after. Keep chewing on those watermelons!

Not sure how easy it is to generate something like this but it would be cool to have these generated deep underground. Perhaps crystals could be mined for some unknown purpose (or just decoration).

BTW, I sent you a friend request on Steam. I have a server that anyone is welcome to join (if they know the password)

If you could skin a tiger, then you'd have a fabulous Rising World coat to wear! ;-p
I've done the diagonal shaft before to find gold. It's really not that bad especially with ore spawns being higher with cave generation turned off. Plus, you have a ton of stone when you're all done! However, those shafts get claustrophobic as well.

Watermellon forest? Interesting idea. There's a lua script that spawns random vegetation. I've been meaning to give that a try.

Hmm... I was looking for a witty response to the Hamlet reference and then I found a Shakespeare cave insted:
Anyways, I always leave caves turned on but I like to live underground like a dwarf and they cut down on mining when you're digging deep to find gold. Just use plenty of torches to light a path so you can figure out how to get back to the surface.
Also, when water comes, I'll definately be making some underground lakes if they do not yet generate naturally with the water update.

You should've grown some watermelons in the desert.

Could we then craft a post office to retrieve messages or perhaps we can evolve into the digital age and all carry around tablets in place of journals.

Terrain is generated using an algorithm and a seed number so the same world generates each time. Code-wise, a modifier such as a filter for biomes or make them larger should not be hard. It wouldn't be different I'd imagine from the modifiers such as world type or ore quantity and whatever future ones will come but my question is, why limit the biomes? The biomes are massive to begin with so there's plenty of space to do whatever you want.

I like this Red. I feel like the current rake operates a little too slow. Will it also automatically move excess dirt into inventory? When can we expect the shovel to be craftable? it seems to work pretty well as is.
