Atleast a recent negative reviewer changed his thumbs down to thumbs up after Red jumped in there and tried to help troubleshoot. The other ones were just trolls

I presume that in the future grass will grow back and even spread over dirt. Maybe these mowing tools will become necessary but meanwhile they would make good decoration in a garage..
Hell even a picture like in this screenshot looks amazing! It would be nice to have real wood working tools someday.

Honestly though, I can understand people make mistakes and end up buying games that they can't run but what I do not understand is the attitude people have and blame Developers for their computer problems
-
No clue. Red can be such a tease. ;-p
-
And I prefer non idiot-proof software because it runs faster.

I just read the update on the store page. Looks much better.

You can only lead the horse to water but you cannot make it drink.

3d modeling is fun. I messed with 3dsmax 4 when i was a kid. Nothing professional ofcourse.
I personally would love to have an iron wood burning stove. Then if we get olives to make olive oil, i can make me some fried green tomatoes! :-9

Oh whups! That reads Intel 4000, not Radeon 4000! ;-p
Anyways, it probably wouldnt hurt the specific card as a trouble point.

Red51,
Considering the latest negative review ( the guy getting pissy because Rising World crashes on his stoneage computer ) and other issues reported by other players with Radeon 4000 series cards, I'd recommend changing the minimum hardware requirements on the Steam store page to specifically not include the 4000HD.
Fortunately still at this point every negative review has been found 0% helpful but it wouldnt hurt to avoid any future issues.

Still would be nice if the block grid was updated to allow two blocks to occupy space. Perhaps a boolean operation applied to how it is rendered. Block A is placed, B is then placed. What results is A and B-A.
Just a thought.

Was thinking the saaaame thing
I check this forum about 30 times a day (just incase that water update hits and I can get sick that day and have to leave early. But the forum gets updated only so often and not everyone who owns the game is active on this forum so it's another place to check. Besides, someone has to question the usefulness of any negative review that posts on Steam.

Nice weed wacker. Where does the battery go?
Also, i've been playing starsone recently and they allow you to make plastics out of resin collected from trees. I was wondering if you've thought out a way to get plastic. I assume when we can eventually drill for oil that we can produce it in larger quantities as well. Anyways, if you havent checked it out yet, please check out the game. It has a lot of good ideas for collecting and processing resources

Diesel cars running on used vegetable oil

I wonder if we will get a weed wacker too
-
I..... I'm not really sure where you're going with that one. ;-p
-
Yes, but we need to mine oil and refine gas before we can use one.

Hi Everyone! I'm just leaking some more screenshots which Red leaked on Steam earlier today but seeing that he has not yet posted them here, I'm taking the liberty of doing it myself so here it goes! This pretty much confirms what some of us have speculated about starting out a game with primitive tools as the stone axe shows below
QuoteHere are some previews of a few tools (work-in-progress):
Stone axe: https://images.rising-world.ne…items/models/stoneaxe.jpg
Wooden rake: https://images.rising-world.ne…ems/models/woodenrake.jpg
Mining hammer (electr.): https://images.rising-world.ne…s/models/mininghammer.jpg
Lawn mower (^^): https://images.rising-world.ne…ew/items/models/mower.jpgAnd here is a link for the original Steam discussion: http://steamcommunity.com/app/…ons/0/361787186428782906/

Definitely some good motivation to buy a better pc haha. Honestly i'm surprised I can play Rising World as well as i can on my admittedly subpar PC. Optimization is great
I started playing Rising World on a Core2quad and a Geforce 9600. I had to turn down the draw distance and lighting effects a bit to run it but it was very playable. The game has been optimized a few times since that old PC blew its caps so I imagine I could still be running on that old dinosaur.

The graphics were pretty horrible on Synthetic World. The interface lacks refinement.
