How about this? Greenland Linienbus/ Bus Shuttle
If I had a blueprint for this, I'd craft a few and make an RV camp by a lake

Hmmmm.... if we can bend metal plates or atleast place them in the world then one could live in a van by the river.
HOLY CRAP this blows away what admin Trouble & I created
quick question tho, @red51 will we be able to adjust the default water level ? like in a config set at what height the "sea level" is at ?
Ah yes... i was walking on that a few days ago.
Excellent idea. You missed one important use for papyrus and that is as a food source. The bottom half is wet and softer than the top so its not useful for crafting but can be eaten. Anyways, papryus, along with other versatile plants such as bamboo and hemp, would be useful for lots of basic crafting needs in a survival game mode where you start out with absolutely nothing. Hemp can be found in grassy fields and occasionally bamboo plants. Papyra lining rivers and lakes in the desert biome would seem very appropriate. Now that water is coming, it would be nice to see the papyra as well.

Indeed it does. I'm guessing we are getting a beach biome too with this. I wonder if the static ponds will contain a unique floor and border of mud, sand, or cobblestone with lillipads and fish! oOooh, I can only hope.
OMG! That looks as beautiful as I imagined it would be!
Are we getting a beach and ocean biome as well with this update?
Thanks
Deirdre,
Where is your server? I would love to see your builds
Hi Dagoline,
You said they are rotatable. How are you rotating the blueprints? I obviously am missing something fundamental because I cannot rotate any of mine.
I re-read some of Red's posts. I guess its not going to be next update but the one after which will be water. But the next update should also include some screenshots of the water which I'm really looking forward to
At this time, it doesnt seem like blueprints can be rotated
I haven't seen this mentioned before but it is an excellent idea. I'm not sure if Red would consider that now or if there is something to be worked into the electrical system. A timer or pulse generator would be a basic component to have in the game. You could adjust duration, intensity, and interval. That way any light (or large scale CPU) could be hooked up to it.
Personally I love the looks of tall radio towers at night with their soft glowing pulsating red lights. I'd love to be able to reproduce that.
Funny, that's how I feel about all the sandstone you can mine in the desert but cannot craft from it. I hope Red squeezes in a fix to make sandstone blocks craftable from sandstone in the next update.
I could definitely see a mod pack for building stuff like this.
There is a video from a year ago of someone building the great pyramids to scale. It was so large that draw distance and build height became issues.we need to be able to make world edits on a massivescale. Possibly move the ground limit much lower. I think I'm Minecraft you can now set the ground d height(to within a few blocks from bedheight which gives you more vertical building room. Of course, that means eventually the lighting has to be adjusted so there is no more "dark zone" below zero.
I recognize the inspiration from Minecraft but I no longer see it as a Minecraft clone and I try not to say killer. This is its own entity. But I think the appeal of Minecraft has to be in its moddability which is why I am glad Red supports improving moddability.
Indeed it is and Red and team seem to really be listening and making something we will all enjoy. Then when moddability takes off... ☺☺☺☺
Yeah, when I first saw Blockscape, I thought it was going to be the Minecraft killer. Unfortunately it's look went from beautiful realism to ugly blockiness. Still, it has some interesting elements in its variable grid size when building and destroying. It's electrical system seems good. There is much that I hope Red will take from it as inspiration as Rising World is developed further.
I may still purchase Blockscape if it ever goes on sale but I do not have enough faith to pay full price.
