The whole chisel thing aka subtractive building has been discussed several times before.
Long story short, while it's technically possible it could quickly create a situation where a single block ends up being the equivalent of thousands or even hundreds of thousands. That could tank performance and even create situations where worlds would be unplayable.
When building with single blocks there's a method called back face culling for the engine to ignore the sides of blocks that are connected together. So you might have something build from 100 blocks, but performance wise it's only 20-30.I had thought about that, too

I think a chiseling feature will be redundant since we have already all the tools to work with "microscopic" small building blocks.
yea but you have to manually resize them. With chiseling you won't need to place anything.

Combined with console ☺️ If you need to edit only a few elements, you could just use the console alone, but if you need to change a lot, and are used to using the console(like me) it would be more efficient.

Want to edit multiple building elements that are already placed? Don't want to use the console to change each element separately?
Introducing the element selector! When enabled, it will allow you to select and highlight multiple building elements at once. Once the elements are selected, there will be a GUI with edit options,
such as color, texture, texture scale, etc!

Excuse the poor perspective photoshop edit, but in the future I would love the option to craft/spawn only the insides of a regular furnace. Also the ability to craft a coal-chute to place within a limited distance of the furnace insides. I made a few concepts as to what this could look like:
As for the first concept(the bricks) realistically you would not be able to place the furnaces so close due to the depth of both their insides colliding with each other. UNLESS There was a less deeper version of the furnace-insides?

red51 adding a door latch by the handle of glass doors would be a small thing to ask for. Would add more detail to modern builds. I would add my own latch to the door frame, however it would make no sense do to the door itself not having a visual latch Although I could use a glass door with the default frame, I rather have a frameless glass door look.

Chests made of glass! Items that are within the chest will be visible as well(As Shown)!
The transparent chests will be craftable within the modern workbench and also be able to hold more items. Thus, being a
higher tier chest!
Also, I have another suggestion: The ability to make item icons of all items within rising world(within the crafting menu) to place as posters. This could be used as another way of labeling!

This setting is already set to grassdefault within the client config file. I would think it would be something with the server settings...
I set superflat world type in the dedicated server settings. I also enable vegetation. Upon loading in, the terrain material is stone with no grass or vegetation. What is going on here? Is it a bug?

I want to make a flatworld with vegetation, but whenever I try to create one, it makes a world that is completely flat but instead, there is no vegrtation and the default terrain is stone instead of grass. Can someone help? Thanks!

They ran right threw the fence! Perhaps I didn't have it high enough? It was above their waist, so logically, they shouldn't be able to run through.

Skeletons can walk through building elements
Ore smelting duration setting seem to not work. Before the update, 100 took 6min, and 50 took 3min. Now 50 takes longer than 3min...
hot ingots will not cool down quicker after you sleep, yet plants grow faster, etc.

Smoothing tool now does not smooth the top layer but a layer under. Is this a bug? Or am I not doing something right?
