Now a few days have passed since the game was released on Steam! :) Also we had been very busy dealing with the huge amount of new players and providing support for the game.

We are also sorry that the update we released together with the Steam launch was not available for the standalone yet. We are more concerned about the fact, that the old launcher was no longer able to connect to our HIVE, resulting in not being able to play the game anymore. This should be fixed now, we're really sorry for the downtime of the standalone!

ONLY FOR NON-STEAM VERSION: Now the game should be running again! If you still can't login, please delete everything in your game folder with the exception of the "Worlds" subfolder, the "config.properties" file and the "risingworld.exe".

Here is the full changelog of the latest update:

    Changelog Bugfix 2014-12-06
-[Change] When creating a new account ingame (Steam only), you can now use tab correctly

-[Change] Changed Console key from F12 to ^ (or ` depending on keyboard layout, should be the grave key [the one next to "1"]).

-[Bugfix] Added a workaround when starting the game and being unable to connect to the HIVE (Steam only)
-[Bugfix] Fixed size of thrones (they were far too big, but it was quite a funny issue^^)

Oh great!! Glad to hear that!
Unfortunately it's getting too late here, so no time for me to play unfortunately :D But I'm pleased that your game works now!
Let us (we're 3 ppl on the project^^) know if any other problems occur ;)

Animals don't drop loot currently by the way, this will come with a later update^^

No, this is the first time this error occurs.
I'm glad to hear that you can't wait to play it :) I just hope it works now for you ^^

Yes, definitely! Metal block will be made out of iron, marble blocks out of marblestone, asphalt will require you to macerate your stones first etc.
But most resources are not in the game yet (ores, marble etc.), so we kept stone as a basic resource for all block (except wooden blocks)

I don't think so, but it's anyway a very spooky error as said^^ I hope it works after reinstalling the game, otherwise let me know

It's really a spooky error I've never seen before. Can't say if it is somehow related to your soundcard, but I don't think so. It appears that the library resonsible for audio can't just be loaded. So I guess reinstalling the game could only solve this =/

Hi, you just need the serverfiles if you want to host a dedicated server. If you only want to play with your friend, it's sufficient to start a singleplayer game (this automatically is a multiplayer server, other player can connect to your IP (hamachi ip if it is running).

That's a spooky sound related error. Perhaps it could work if you remove the game completely (delete really everything), then reinstall it.

Go to your steam library, right click on Rising World, select Properties, then go to the tab "Local files" and select "Browse local files". This should open your Rising World folder ;)

Not implemented yet. To restore your health, the easiest way would be to update your spawnposition (open console with key ^ or `) and type "setspawn" (without ""), then kill yourself. After that, you should respawn at your updated spawnposition with full health, and you can also return to your dead body and loot it.

Okay, is perhaps an errorlog created in your game directory ("../Steam/SteamApps/commons/RisingWorld")? Or an hs_err_pid file?
(don't do point 5 too often...)

Is there an errorlog created in your game folder? (Steam version: ...Steam/SteamApps/commons/RisingWorld) If yes, it would be helpful if you can upload it here.

Falls du 64 bit hast, also die 64 bit version:
Wenn das nicht klappt, deinstalliere Java einmal restlos vom Computer (also wirklich vollständig entfernen), schließe den Browser und Steam, dann installiere die manuelle Version erneut.
