Sounds very interesting
I'm sure it's a pretty cool feature to see the very early days of your worlds! But as you already expected, this feature will only be available in the future ![]()
From a technical point of view, it would be relatively easy to restore the "initial state" of the world (before you've built anything). So that would be no problem. But if you want to visit different states of your world to see the beginnings of all your buildings, that would be more complicated... We would have to store each "state" of the world. Though our worlds require extremely small hard disk space, we have to specify how often the world should be saved (e.g. a daily save still produces a lot of extra data).

Well done!
This semi-creative mode (the "real" creative mode in the future will offer a lot more features of course) should be really helpful for such a huge project

Great work, really cool episode!

Well, I guess that depends on when are steel girders being added as a Extended construction material...
Hehe, one more reason to implement them as soon as possible
-
Echt klasse!

As always: Awesome!

Thanks!
I've uploaded a few screenshots on IndieDB http://www.indiedb.com/games/concept/images -
Absolutely amazing!
The video is now also much better!Do you mind when we upload some screenshots of your buildings on IndieDB? Of course we will mention that it is your work!

First of all, thanks for your suggestions!

-Hammer: Good idea, we will implement that!
-Change to Scythe and sickle: This also sounds very good, we implement that too.
-Double Doors/Mirrored Single Doors/Large Doors: We're working on it, that's on our list.
-Place Dirt on blocks: That's indeed a little bit complicated. We will have a look on it if we find a solution.
-Pickup most objects: Not sure about picking up furniture, but move it sounds interesting. We just need to find a way to handle the interaction with the object. Currently you would directly sit down on a chair when you interact with it. And it's not very good if every furniture has a context menu (like the tent for example)...

-Individual EC Boards interaction: Yes that's the way it was originally intended. We will change it soon

And please, for the love of all that is holy, No zombies (skellies and mummy's I can deal with)
I know what you mean. Currently there are no zombies planned

I will test screens on both my rigs this weekend, and provide feed back.
Thanks!
It would be helpful to know how many people are affected by this issue. -
Oh my god!
This is awesome! I really like the barn, it's looking pretty cool!
Perhaps you should add some pictures of the interior, as seen in the video, since it's also looking great!Just one thing: Watching the video was extremely difficult, since it's wiggly. As far as I know YouTube offers some sort of "anti-shake-tool", but enabling it when uploading a game video causes exactly this effect.

It's looking very cool! Especially the quarry looks like it was much work!
But the graphical issue from the screenshot function is really strange, don't know yet why it happens on some machines

I'm not sure if this "unlock fix" is well thought out. Isn't this causing a loss of performance?

Great

Thanks for your compliment! And all kind of suggestions/ideas/wishes/changes are always welcome

That's true, I knew that it was only a matter of time until you ask this question. So we always wanted to implement the third person view (also for other things, for example to implement mirrors etc.), but didn't get time to do
Let's do it as follows: As soon as the animals are in the game, and everything is running fine with the Steam release, we bring the third person view into the game. Deal?
But third person view will only become interesting when we have finally a new playermodel

With the extended construction, I find that I have to replace things cause they are a smidge too long, so how about Saw for shortening boards or posts to a specific length.
Sounds interesting! We put it on our list and add this in the future, but it may take some time.If you want to get really fancy allow players to cut at an angle instead of just shortening or allow them to cut holes out of existing boards.
Hehe, a long time a ago, long before the first release of the game, this was originally planned
Unfortunately, that feature brings a lot of problems (especially it causes a lot of extra data when saving a construction element, which is especially bad in multiplayer), so it has been shelved for the time being. -
yes, No Dirt, using the pick axe to break grassy portions of the terrain.
I got a bunch when digging my quarry before the halloween update, but now I am not when I am digging just the top layer or two with my crude reduction in terrain height.
Oh that's true! Spooky bug. We will fix that immediately!
Thanks for getting back so quickly, you guys are doing an excellent job. Can't wait for next updates.
Thanks man!
