I know I have played on multiplayer servers where there is a way that players can protect their land from griefers.
Is there a way I can add this to my server on Ping Perfect?

I have just created a new 100 player server based in the States and am modifying it with all my changes I have made to Rising World Single Player. This will allow others to play my modded version online.
Is there a process I need to follow to add my new multiplayer Server to the server list in the multiplayer tab in the game.
First look at the African Grasslands biome on my multiplayer server.
Left or right ctrl doesn't matter. In general you control stuff with ctrl and arrow keys or pgup/dn
Makes sense it's the same for posters
Right Control pressed down once will turn manual positioning on..... keeping right control down will turn the poster on it's Z AXIS when using the arrow keys.
To move the poster up and down the only way to do it is right control once to turn manual positioning on and then hold down left control and press num key 8 or 2 to move poster up or down.
That was my problem... i forgot about left control and it was not in the settings menu.
Have you tried placing a block pad under it? A generator like that wouldn't just be placed directly on the ground anyways.
Yes I tried that with grid off ....floats in mid air as seen here ... if I turn grid on it immediately ends up in the ground as per prior picture
It has been a while since I added posters to the world....... I have a poster of a power generator which I am trying to add and eventually add power cables to....... and whatever I do I cannot get the poster to stand up vertically without the bottom part of it being below ground.
Any tips on how to move this poster vertically up so it stands on top of the ground not below the ground.
You can change a number of things in the SQL database.... for example this picture below is taken after I changed the wide open grasslands of Rising World to African Grasslands and added more trees and rocks as well as lions , elephants and more animals. You can see a zebra in the middle of the grassland in the picture below. All done by changing the data in the SQL database.
Display MoreThanks red, deleted my previous post but good to know where we stand on those aspects!
Got a few new questions :P, anyone in the know might be able to answer but the mod I have in mind to make is like a Sims inspired mod, adding more 'needs' such as fun, bladder, hygiene, energy etc but also more realism aspects, I've tried to scan the roadmap but not 100% sure whether if I make a mod like this I'll just be implementing what is already planned for Rising World down the line?
Potential other ideas I had were to add food spoilage, make fire require wood/coal etc, tools 'breaking' sometimes on use etc amongst other things.
TLDR: Just don't want to mod in stuff which will just be added to the game anyhow hah would prefer to use my time wisely to enhance the project hah.
Thanks in advance! Proto0x7C8!
I believe the plans are there for food to spoil... as you can see it is currently staying on Fresh until that system is ready to implement. Tools I think are also going to have a chance of breaking over time.
I showed on my youtube channel where to make campfires and torches you now need to use both coal and grass as well as the wood and stone. Hard to light that fire without grass. You can go through making these changes to the recipes by editing the SQL file definitions.db which has all the recipes for the different items in Rising World. Took less than 5 minutes to add coal and grass to the torches and campfires. A recent change means you can now collect grass using a sickle.
If you make changes to definitions.db make a record of what you change as Red will be modifying the file while he is working on adding more to the game. I copy my changes into Excel making it easy to put back into the database.
Am currently working on solar panels and sodium batteries where the sodium comes from sea water.
I was wondering when you be able to pull up a map. Like the java version. Currently I found that I can get lost easy. I try to use compass key but nothing happens. Using a compass does not tell me location. I would like to explore more but also do not want to get lost. I know placing blocks give numbers of location but does not help over great distances.
After you create the compass , go to your shelter, hold down F and set your spawn point....... Walk away from the shelter, press K to show the compass and make sure it is pointing at the shelter when you walk around the shelter. When this happen your compass will always point to the shelter no matter where you are....but you need to set that spawn point or your compass goes wonky..
When you go through the process of cutting a pumpkin into slices, the animation still shows the round pumpkin after the pieces are cut. If you go to the menu then the round pumpkin will suddenly show the pieces images. Perhaps a refresh timey wimey thing happening there.
If your project is about a game that you like, I would start by playing the game. I would take photographs of the buildings and their decorations.
Look for information on everything you have in mind.
To know the dimensions of the buildings, I base myself on the doors, which are 4 blocks high by 2 blocks wide, 2x1 meter, and from here I calculate the height of each home, normally 6 or 7 blocks are.
If it is a game, what you should do when creating any structure is best to count the character's steps, which is equivalent to a block, it will not always be exact but it will give you an approximation that you can later correct.I hope it helps.
Thanks.... I was more looking at the food, barrels, shelves, etc I am seeing in the pictures above...... did you create all of these as blueprints or use another technique?
I have some ideas on what I want to develop on a server for Rising World.... can you give me some tips on where to start to start making what you have done in these pictures.... Are these blueprints? Great job there.
I am on the Medieval Realms server and there was no one else online and it was night time ...so I went to sleep which my understanding points the compass at the tent.
However the compass is still pointing to the original spawn point, not the spawn point I created in the tent.
Am I missing something?

Another minor hotfix is available now btw It's just a clientside update, so no need to update multiplayer servers for this
Hotfix 2023-07-07:
- [Change] Mattress now has a slightly bigger interaction radius (so it remains usable after hiding it inside a block)
- [Bugfix] Fixed arch doors sometimes not having collision
- [Bugfix] Fixed metal trashcan not being fully paintable
Thanks for the quick updates red......
Yeah, unfortunately the texture of lettuce got corrupted for some reason But this will be fixed with the next hotfix
Thanks Red.... I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me.
