this is beautiful. I love all the details (and all the pictures so we could see them).... It will be a bit before I find someplace for this but am looking forward to being able to use it. Thanks a whole lot.

Here is the error report (means nothing to me but might to someone) followed by a couple of pictures of what I am seeing in the game.

It started with lines flashing through the area. I logged out and back in a couple of times before the game glitch escalated to the point you see in the pictures. As of this moment the game is not playable like this.

It looks very interesting and nice. Playing with water is not the easiest of things to do. (I'm still trying to get the hang of it)
    Thanks for sharing

Your pictures are nice but they do not do your work a great deal of justice. This place i absolutely beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing it.

Sorry I have been busy at home and have not gotten a chance to get back in here.

THIS IS JUST AN UPDATE for anyone that is interested.

I uninstalled and reinstalled both steam and RW Didn't do a thing for it. I think I spent 3 days trying to get into the game and just got frustrated with it. I had, as usual no error reports (since I could not get that far) But I did send what the computer was doing off to JIW.

Then Steam did one of their updates. It struck me as strange as they had just done one of those that they had several fixes to on the 14th. I read that it was a reload do to some fixes that needed to be made including a couple of individual fixes. Sorry I do not remember the day they reloaded it with the fixes. (One of the fixes dealt with game loading issues or some such. Low and behold I have not had a lick of problems since that fix was uploaded.

Thanks for the comments and the interest
    Lilli

You're right Daniel & yahwho! Seem I always get the screwy things to happen!

On the fifth attempt to open RW we had task manager open and as soon as we tried to load the game & before we could do anything but watch, the memory went to 100% & the screen went black. Shut down the computer again I uninstalled Steam. (not before saving my map and blueprint) I reinstalled Steam. That let me get past the steam page and into the game.

Now the only thing I cannot seam to do is make the view windowed so that I have access to my task bar. It only knows one setting...full screen. I don't like it but at least now I can get into the game.

thanks for the input (thought maybe a fatal errors would be of import to the devs)

That should have been Ran Out of Space in Swap file: I had 3 different errors pop up during 3 different attempts to log in tonight. The first 2 I was unable to save a copy of before the computer screen blacked out (sorry)
The second one said something to the effect that the paging file was full. skype and RW were the only 2 active programs open on the computer (along with all the crap that runs in the background) When I got that error it also shut down the skype call I was on. We looked at the paging file
As you can see there is ample space available for that one. (Obviously it used up all the error!)

The following is the 3rd fatal error I received:
    Windows 10 (x64) 10.0 Java: 1.8.0_131 amd64 0.9.5.7_39 -H:4096 -D:3072 (Steam)

I really like this. Your boat reminds me of several of the river boats that went up and down the Mississippi. Most of the hulls would get damaged if they had much depth to them. For some, instead of scrapping them they were loaded onto barges where they remained for the rest of their lives. While they stayed in dock many adapted themselves into dinner theater's and waterfront hotels.

Looks like a very interesting building...I think I can find a place for that just so I can see what it looks like in the daylight.

    thanks for sharing

Having what we build occupied would be awesome. Its not all that important to be able to interact with them but to have them interact with the environment that we build by going from place to place, going to bed when it is time, having children play outside (running around doing things that children do) walking together, walking purposefully alone going to visit another home or business. If we were to ever get something like that I am sure we would come up with suggestions for more things for them to be able to do! We can always think of more that we want!
The dummy NPC's are a good start for a zombie population but they do not interact with their surroundings with a purpose. the purpose being to give the towns some life.

the only program I could find running while the cpu #'s were up there were all the steam associated programs that usually run in the background all the time. (contacting steam is oh so futile if you want a question answered but they ask a lot of questions just to tell you to contact the game co.)

I am playing RW on a different computer and the memory usage is still off the charts but it is not bogging this computer down. So now this is a mute point unless this one goes flaky with the memory usage! while we never truly figured out what was going on I do appreciate everyone who read this and tried.

Thank you everyone for all the help with this issue please consider this closed.

Chrome could have been participating at that shot for sure as chorme can slow anything down. even with only one window open!

What I finally got to work (it still is a little quirky but not locking after a minute in the game at least) I scaled the resolution way back on the settings page. I figured it could have been my graphics card having a problem. It is still locking up on me but so long as I don't try to make anything with a lot of wood or tear anything with a lot of wood in it then at least stays working longer. Since I have a lot of map to rebuild (forgot to save that before I reloaded) that will keep me busy for quite a bit.

    Thanks for all the help.

The disc got checked today, all 7 reports that got run came out clean.
    The game has been reloaded

I can work all day on this computer in excel with massive tables and not have a problem (No Excel is not active, open or in the background when I am playing games.)
If the game would ever come back when this happens I would run a report. I had some that were run near the time when this first started to happen however lost all those when I reloaded the game. So no help to even see for when the problem first started.

I have one brick in the house already because of an online game that is no longer around. I really do not need another one. So I really need something that will get this working for me.
The turning more things off is not an option as this game is used for more than just playing RW.

On the task manager I did click on the disc column and RW is always right at the top (as it should be before the game fails as it is the most active thing running, It stays at the top when I get booted) RW never uses less than 30%of the memory and I have a 1200GB somehow that just does not seem right. If I leave the game and go on to other games or other projects the computer runs fine. Call me crazy but that says to me its RW.

I did see a difference in the amount of MB's listed as in use: Before I reloaded the game is this image

This image is after the game was reloaded, I logged in and switched to creative mode. there was only a a slight jump between modes so did not send that one.
There was a spike again when the game locked 8 minutes later No I did not have any of the extras like task manager or the snip-it program running when I first logged on today and the game locked withing 5 minutes of me logging in and changing to creative. I only went back in to get the pictures of the task manager.

if the game would give me a report when it acts up I would post one.

I am truly at a loss but very open to looking at what else it could possibly be.

Thanks again for all the help, but sad to say I still need more help with this.
