The next update will be available on Wednesday, December 18, in the early evening (GMT+1).

This update will not yet replace the Java version, instead it is the actual content update. We'll provide more information about the transition together with the update.

a cozy little house for snowy areas (or for adding to my snowglobe kit ;D). you have to crouch to enter, but can easily stand inside, and it even has room for a small base!

my being bad at math and circles being based on an irrational number made this a bit of a challenge, but i'm pleased with the final result! also thanks to my husband TayohShadowind for helping me with the final bits when i started to burn out.

personally i prefer the smoothed version, but it is harder to modify as it is made up of a lot more individual blocks, so i have also attached the original blueprint that is just the core of the build.

you could also repaint the blocks for it to be a mudbrick house, and maybe add windows, if you want, tho that is tricky on the smooth version. skylight would be easy tho!

i'd been thinking of making a neon alphabet myself, but i keep putting it off for more fun stuff. thanks a lot for doing it, that's very useful!!! i really appreciate having my contributions labeled like that :D

Your talents continue to amaze me! It is hard for me to believe that you made these using the blocks available in the game instead of using a 3D program, but the proof is there! The bows in the front are my favorite, as they are so shiny and such a lovely design. It is so hard to tell that the jingle bells don't have holes in them, and I love the details of them and the other bells (even the ringer on the inside). I also can't believe you were able to make the strings on the bells too! Keep up the amazing work!!!!

thanks for such a detailed comment, hun! i'm slowly getting more familiar with all the different ways to use all the different blocks. i'm pretty comfy with round shapes now, and thanks to the fancy bows i'm now getting better at the triangles. hopefully i can get faster and make more complex but repetitive things soon.

they are very beautiful again... you are very talented... hats off (as they say in Germany when you want to show respect) and thumbs up :love:

    ----------------DE-----------------------

die sind ja auch wieder sehr schön ... Du bist sehr talentiert ... Hut ab (wie man in Deutschland sagt, wenn man Respekt aussprechen möchte) und Daumen hoch

vielen dank! we also say 'hats off to you' in america :D

THE BOWS! these are in the main pic they just exceeded the attachment limit. the fancy and bouncy bows are my favorites :3 tho i wish i could think of a better name for the bouncy bow... i needed something other than 'bow' but that's all it is to me. way too many things in english called that.

sleigh bells/jingle bells and regular bells in different configurations, as well as several different bows for decorating presents/gifts and more!

i wish the sleigh bells were hollow, but alas those kinds of holes on curves are beyond me. i think the workaround i came up with is fine tho! BELLS FIRST THEN BOWS IN A REPLY

just this silly one for now but i want to make some other styles as well and will add them to this thread when i do

i'm pretty sure female reindeer do in fact have antlers but eh, figured an antler-less version couldn't hurt

red51 oh also what about quarter cylinders? they were an afterthought i had and probably got overlooked as part of my signature(which i've now changed to be less easily confused for main text)i just realized the 'arc' piece is already a quarter cylinder. 'doh! the name always confused me cuz, to me, an 'arc' would be a hollow half cylinder. and a hollow quarter cylinder (or arc) would still be a nice addition, i think.

Dieses Schiff meinte ich, keine Ahnung warum der Link nicht funktioniert hat.

Hier befindet sich im unteren Teil (Vorratskammer) ein Flechtkorb mit Deckel.

This ship I meant, no idea why the link didn't work.

Here in the lower part (pantry) there is a wicker basket with lid.

oh wow somehow i missed that during my tour, that's incredible!

this would be a big ask, but it would be very useful for making irregular shapes, like letters and filigree. i'd like to see either a tool that allows block placement like the above gifs, or specific blocks that behave this way (a cuboid and cylindrical version, ideally).

basically vectors, where you set individual points and the game would generate connected blocks that follow that path-one block between each pair of points, stretched and rotated as needed automatically. (i don't mean for them to create unique solid singular blocks, like the gif showing the result being a pen tip- i just mean the outline) i know the curvy one would be extra difficult, but i would be plenty happy with just the straight one, as you could still use it to make your own curves a bit easier than currently.

i also know you can do this by hand already- placing, snapping, and rotating blocks one by one. i just think this would be a cool feature that would make it easier/more fun to do... and a bit more immersive for things like rope.

the link doesn't work for me, but i believe it!

i didn't see anything quite like it in-game already, and woven wood would be very difficult to manufacture, so how about a texture for it?

like this, for baskets and furniture!

Actually we did already prepare some of these block shapes :) This is a rough overview of the upcoming block shapes:

    • half sphere
    • hollow half sphere
    • quarter sphere
    • hollow quarter sphere
    • eighth sphere
    • hollow eighth sphere
    • alt. slope corner (slope corner type that was still missing)

Probably we'll add them shortly after the npc update. We'll also increase the quality of the cylinders, hollow cylinders and the sphere (so they appear more rounded).

We'll think about the inverted cylinder and the hollow cone / hollow half cone. What would be the use-case for these shapes? ^^

*delighted shrieking* i'm so excited, thankyou so much! i'm gonna make such cool stuff with those!

i tried to make some hollow spheres with one flat area for eyeballs and i couldn't get the seams not to show- maybe the better hollow cylinders will fix the issues i was having :D

the inverted cylinder would, for me, mainly be used for streamlining the process of building round windows in houses and boats. but i imagine you could also use it for any holes, including those in fabric where a string goes through. instead of having to individually scale and rotate 4 arcs per hole in a wall, you'd then only need to adjust the single inverted cylinder.

the hollow cone and half cone i don't have anything as specific in mind personally, but they strike me as useful shapes that would be difficult to make from scratch. i would probably use them for sculptures of animals- it can be really tricky to get the right curves there. the hollow cone could be used for tipi's in part, reducing the work load somewhat, and maybe fancy cups. oh! ice cream cones! and roof steeples- that one is probably important to a lot of people. and having a half version makes it easier to make small adjustments, like if you want a small gable on one side of the steeple, then you have something to go on for the surrounding area and don't have to make the other side from scratch.
