been checking every day since about mid december XD i stopped being super hopeful since the third time the eta got moved(disclaimer; this is not intended as a criticism), so it's more a casual 'just in case' checking now since i expect it will be ready at the end of the month instead of any day now, but, still very much excited :3

Desert Biomes. All the biomes and caves, really, but particularly excited about deserts.

i'm so excited for all of it! i was excited for horses, then getting to explore new biomes with those horses, then caves, then hell, and of course i'm excited to see what other random items are also going to get added.

collecting different stuff from common to rare and to unique would be nice: animals, antique relics, old gold coins with different coinages which you can find below the earth with the metal detector, old ruins and stone blocks where it is more common to find old stuff aso. Unique is just possible if the world is not without borders and a planet.
yeah, you get it! i LOVE collecting trophies from my exploration adventures in games like this. i'm mostly interested in natural stuff like animals and plants, but human artifacts from ruins would be neat too.

it's definitely not it XD you can check the forums and see red's been plenty active. the next update is expected to be at the end of this month, it's just been delayed a few times because it's going to be a REALLY big one- red is trying to fit as much as he can into the game as fast as he can so he can update the store page to the unity version, and more frequent smaller updates was taking too long because of all the tweaking and bugfixing that goes on between each one due to user feedback.

don't take my word as law since i don't own standalone so don't know for sure, but, on steam, the new version is still very much a wip and is only in a beta branch because of it. i imagine that when the new version is complete enough and replaces the old version on the store page over there, it would then get packaged up for a standalone release, but might not be available that way right now. i don't know if the standalone version is built for beta updates like steam is.
it's getting pretty close tho! a major update is happening any day now. -

Beside birds, also beautiful insects like butterflies, dragonflies (beside ponts) and also amphibians like frogs (also beside ponts) would be nice.
There is no need to interact with them, it is enough that they are in the playing world here and there and also many different kinds, not just many.
i would really like to interact with them tho TuT the idea of catching butterflies and displaying them in jars makes me so happy. (specifically in a videogame where they can just happily flutter in one place in the jar and not die or anything...)

technically we have birds (chickens) but i get what you guys mean. it would certainly add a lot of life and aesthetic appeal to the world (and also they'd be very fun to hunt, hehe, and their feathers could be used to make better arrows and fancy bedding). i'm fairly confident red will add them, as well as fish, but they'll be the last animals to get added due to how complicated it would be to animate them and program their movement. ground animals only follow the ground after all, but fish and birds can move freely through space, and birds in particular often don't JUST fly around ALL the time, but land and walk as well. very complicated!

That really doesn't matter. You can scale all chests. I was able to put 8 chests on one cabinet board.
i mean if you don't care about looks or immersion sure, but in that case why use a cupboard at all when you can just make shelves yourself that store way more?
i personally think squashing containers is annoying to do and doesn't look very good. the knowledge that you can fit 4 regular unaltered leather trunks in the 2-shelf cupboard or 24 shrunken (but evenly, so they don't look squashed, unlike the wider wooden chests) leather trunks in the 6-shelf cupboard just seems like good info to have in your tutorial.
also you should probably edit your post about barrels not being useable since they act the same as chests. -
the leather trunks are even better cuz you can put two on each shelf

well there's a lot of 3d modeling programs XD but actual games that you can play in, not JUST build? none other than rising world i think!

a gift for my husband of his character that we designed together. i won't be sharing the blueprint publicly due to the personal nature of this build, but i wanted to show it off still cuz i put a lot of effort into it and learned a lot while building it! a lot of people on here make really incredible buildings and inanimate objects, but it's still somewhat rare to see models of living things, and i wanted to see how doable it is. turns out, quite doable!

ich hatte auch das problem. schnee auf Konstruktionen ist leider noch nicht fertig, aber vielleicht es kommt spaeter! nebel ist nur mit normale oder schwere schnee, du kannst schnee ohne nebel haben wenn du leicht schnee benuzt. wetter kann dauerhaft sein bei die einstellungen, mach es 'aus'.
es tut mir leid, meine schlecte deutsch, aber ich hoffe das hilft du!

soon the world will expand (due to ridable horses for speedy travel and new biome elements to explore) so i will need bridges to make traveling far and wide and back home again easier. maybe you will too, so here! not super fancy but i did give it two different types of stone to make it a tad more interesting to look at, and i tried to leave room for boats underneath. (Player Mannequin for scale not included)
lastly, thanks to TayohShadowind for helping with some of the repeated construction elements after i designed it.

Perhaps heating a house could be possible by having the game calculate an area around a heat source. From there give each block in that area a hypo/hyperthermal value, of course since would be in three dimensions the game would calculate a volume. Preventing the heat from going through building could be done by having the game determine if an object (block, plank, beam) is within heated dimensions. Then based upon material of the obstruction a value could be subtracted from the thermal value.
Given everything else going on with the game at the moment, this would be a pain to implement where it wouldn't cause lag.i do like the idea of an enclosed space being encouraged/rewarded in terms of heat retention. like a campfire out in the open air shouldn't be as good at warming the player/surrounding space as one in a cave or building, imo. that sort of limitation makes it feel more rewarding to build a proper shelter, and gives the game a nice cozy vibe, too.

This looks amazing! I just love how perfectly you arranged the eggs in the basket with little bits of grass. I'm also super impressed with how much detail you put into the basket itself. I have no idea what it takes for you to weave things like that in the game, or even the rope you put around that log cabin for the lanterns, but it always looks top-notch! I want one of these in every house I build!!
thanks so much hun! the basket isn't actually all that detailed, i didn't properly weave it like some people have done (i am not that patient XD) but i thought what i did looked nice enough :3 the grass was the most annoying part cuz i had to rotate/angle each blade individually. also after you saw it in-game, i reworked it a little to make the eggs as close as possible in size to the actual items! i'm glad you like it!
