this is a problem with the computer running the server the computer must be busy on other things and you need to wait for the cpu to play catch up
Can you Imagine someone (like me ) that hacked down miles of that grass to make dirt roads only to have it grow back ?
It would be nice though to replace it if you made a mistake.
i think once cut it cant grow back unless you plant grass seed this will work and when you cut you get grass seeds
just a thought for the computer object.
If you like an object in the world, such as a graveyard fence, you could take a sample from it, and take it back to the computer, which could have an add on called the physical materializer. this add on object allows you to scan samples of objects into the computer, and the object they were taken from are materialized. Then, you simply take them and use them as a normal object.
The computer in itself could have hundreds of different add on objects, which do different and interesting things, but you're limited to ten per computer or something. haa!
What do folks think?
this sounds a little silly and i don't get why we need a materializer computer when all you need to do is make more item in the first place with the tables or you could just use world edit.
i would be more interested in water or even more block types before they even look at silly ideas like this lol lets come up with ideas that fit what the game is about. ( materializer computer lol too funny )
We have a real problem here and could end up in a never ending loop hole the problem is if we add computers we might play games on them and the game might be risingworld with more computers o0 this will end bad and cause a never ending loop!!!!
I am an admin on my server but I am having trouble finding a complete list of admin commands. I have been in other servers and I know there are commands for protecting land and for fast traveling to certain lots and flattening larger plots of land but I cannot find the commands anywhere. Does anybody know where to the complete list or know the commands for these three things?
the command your talking about need scripts installed on your server for them to work goto the lua page here and read up on how to install them then once installed you will have all the options the other admins have.

what about a central database where we could opt in if the user gets banned say more than 3 times on any sever he then becomes banned on all servers with this option
i would say they have this idea but its at the bottom of the list but your right its a good idea

ok with the help from lordfoobay i have managed to add new /say and /wap to the admin tools script
The /say lets you talk out loud to one user with text wrap that stops the text going off the screen the command for this is /say username <text>
The /wap does the same thing as /say but with out the username it just wraps the message /wap <text>

you will also need to download the wrapper script and copy it into its own folder called string-ext this folder needs to be inside the admin tools folder heres the link
When did you purchase the game? Only prior to 1st of January 2015 it was required to have Java installed, after this date, the game was delivered with an own JVM (only global vm options still have influence on that)
Only exception is the standalone version, which still requires you to have Java installed.
yeah maybe before that date but i have re installed window's and steam after that date went to play the game and the cmd pop up then went away i was like o crap i forgot to re install java so installed java and then it worked this was only 3 weeks ago
It does not matter which java version is installed on your machine, since the Steam version of the game uses an own JVM
Please have a look if the file "rt.jar" is in your folder \steamapps\common\RisingWorld\java\lib\, if not, please reinstall the game.
Alternatively you can try to Verify Integrity of Game Cache
? thats strange because my steam version when i very first played this game would also not load, i then updated my java and after that it worked.
also people are having better luck getting the game working with 64bit
what about video card drivers are they all upto date also is your OS 64bit or 32bit

no but that's something i could code for you soon in lua
the command panel is the ` or ~ key and i think for some users ^ works too for the command theres lots
for starter the item command you can give your self items
if admin you type
item ore 64
item block 64 id
item lumber 64
item treelog 64
the number is the amount
also you can type setgametype 1 to get creative mod theres far more, but you will need to just look around and read the forum to find them
have you got java installed ? also 64bit os and 64bit java works best
