hey!! Here's a idea that might have been talked about before but how about the setgametype 1 gets saved if you enter that option i often load the game and then die from a bear because i forget to re enter it and some times i reset the game and have to enter it over and over and over.

I wasn't using the space key to fly, which I guess is why I couldn't always get out of mines, either. (It would be nice if there was a current and comprehensive list of key and mouse controls somewhere; the game would be a lot less frustrating to learn.
) Both issues resolved, thank you very much for your help. 
space key is not needed you just need to look at the sky and hit w key for up and look and the ground for down but yes space key is up and Ctrl key is down too

If F2 does not work, you're either playing multiplayer on a server where flying is not allowed, or you're having maybe a Mac or Notebook, so you have to press FN+F2 to enable flymode
Good point Red i always forget that people play games on the Mac too lol

Makes sense - I've noticed that while placing planks, I can't always see the top of them. But how do I get higher? Haven't figured out a way to do that and I've tried. F2 doesn't seem to do much, but I'll try again.
if f2 does not let you fly then the server admin has this option turned off you will need to build a step going up your walls to get higher

I am not able to stack more than four rows of blocks to build a house. The first row half-sinks into the ground, creating the floor. The next three rows create 3/4 of the wall height. But then the cursor (white outline) won't go any higher than that. I've tried every key combination and watched numerous videos, but the folks narrating the videos don't tell you what keys they're pressing.
In addition, I'm having trouble with the extended menus on pig and cow meat inventories and for the tent and smoker. Pressing F only rarely brings up the menu, and when it does, I can't change the selection.
when using the f key always have the cross on the center of your screen on the subject, for the menu use the mouse wheel to move up and down the menu and right click, for blocks it sounds to me your too low as you build higher you also need to be higher, this is so you can get the cross on the center of your screen on top of the block and not just the side some times fly mode is better for this, if your game has it on hit f2 to fly f2 to un fly but note f key wont work when flying

Hi, i prefer prevent you guys, my English suck (I’m french) but I’ll do my best for describe my problem.
I just bought the game from steam like two hours before, i can't launch a new world or even connecting to a multiplayer server.
The loading stops at 10% and the game shut off.
I’ve try some change in graph configuration but nothing work.
I even try to virtualize a win7 and install the game on it but still don't work
I would try to use my other graphic card to run the game but i cannot even launch the game console (Tried the keys given even F12 but no one work)
Im on Ubuntu 14.04
Got a Nvidia GTX850M and a chipset intel
Intel i7-4710HQ
and 6Gb memory

with your spec's the game should work!! have you got updated java and video card drivers installed?

ok after the inventory was added back to the database it looked to be fine but it turned out not to be it was missing the id for each line so then put back a old inventory table lol WTF is going on and why has the database been stuffed up so bad lol

ok we had some not all users say they had problems with there inventory they would log off and then come back to find the items in the inventory keep coming back even after the items had been used up so i just removed the inventory DB and reset the server that lookes to have fixed the problem but im now going to get mad players lol well thats beta for you right haha

@yahgiggle: Some versions ago (not sure when exactly, maybe 4-8 weeks?) there was a bug in the game causing duplicate entries for chests
It was no serious issue at all, since the game always used the first result. But it will be fixed now when converting the world. After converting the world, there should be no more duplicate entries in your chest table.
Please download the latest server version again (there were small bugfixes last night), try to convert a backup of your world (if available), and see if chests work then (if they do, you can move your chests table to the original world)ok downloaded the new server files and all looks to be working now with all my chests added back all duplicate entries in the table are fixed cheers

Oh... LOL, that was my problem. I thought you had to enter those commands in the console... Darn, I feel stupid now.
Anyway, thanks for getting on my server and testing it! So, I guess any LUA script is executed thru the chat, not the console. Oh boy.yep your right all lua is done in chat

ok i have been on and i trusted myself no problem and also trustlist works fine so this has got to do with how you imput your command you type it like this /trust it needs / and you cant have a space after that so for me it would go like this /trust yahgiggle see the only space is after the word trust /trustlist /trust /untrust all commands are done in the chat not the command box
to prove it worked i added myself and built a stone thing next to your crafting tables

i did not have any problems loading the game but what we did find was that all chests did not work so we ended up removing the chest DB and starting over lol some how we had two ids for every one chest and looking back at all my saved databases it was like that after we ported to mysql

By you saying "works fine with this error", I guess you mean "if you do it by hand" as I did, yes, it works perfectly. But using the /trust or any of the other commands, it does not seem to work. Sorry if I don't "get it".
