i would be nice if the doors can be locked
by pressing F and then choose open/close or locked
whith code or playername
like animals invetory or hide body
and some glass slidingdoors would be nice

they said they might add locking stuff later on its at the bottom of the list but its there

i think the money they charge for this game is very low but i do think they should offer a free trail with some sort of time limit or have a server setup as a demo that anyone can join and build but boots the user every 30 min for one day

My PC I am very sure has met all of the requirements, and every time I open it, the game crashes... If this continues to do so after a few updates I wasted my money on this game that doesn't even launch.
that sucks mate but for us to help you we need more info what OS are you running and is it 32bit or 64bit also please whats your specs and could we see that error log

I have to change my graphics drivers and the card used (Intel -> To Nvidia) it worked really bad with open-sources drives so i have to use Nvidia Drivers...
I swaped my os (i386) to x64 but i think the graphic drivers made the game work.
Maybe the swap of java version can made it too?thanks for your reply solving this will help others with the same problem ;-D

he could start a single payer game and you could join him as long as you are on the same lan network you goto after he starts his game Multiplayer then in that option at the bottom of the screen you will see Connect to IP click that and enter the local ip address of your partners computer it should look something like this 192.168.1.104 or 10.1.1.5 this is not his ip just a example after that click connect and you should be able to join his world

this is a problem ive seen before i think it might be to do with steam running this game in 32bit it needs to be 64bit

did you install 64bit java or 32bit ? 64bit java link for ubuntu https://www.java.com/en/download/help/linux_x64_install.xml
also what ubuntu did you install the i386 or the amd64 if you did i386 i would reinstall this with the amd64 with 64bit java the amd64 works fine on the intel cpu its just a naming thing that does not mean AMD only.

Oh and i try to run the game with open-source version of Java and the Oracle version, no one work, same error

its using the intel gpu that might be your problem you need to set the game to play using your Nvidia GTX850M gpu also it looks to be out of video memory i think the game may run on that gpu bad but it might run the only problem is in bios you may have set the video memory far to low for the game witch needs 1gig or more

It was an issue with MySQL, it has been fixed with the latest update. You need to keep the inventory table without the column "ID", since now "PlayerID" is the primary key.

hey!! Here's a idea that might have been talked about before but how about the setgametype 1 gets saved if you enter that option i often load the game and then die from a bear because i forget to re enter it and some times i reset the game and have to enter it over and over and over.

I wasn't using the space key to fly, which I guess is why I couldn't always get out of mines, either. (It would be nice if there was a current and comprehensive list of key and mouse controls somewhere; the game would be a lot less frustrating to learn.
) Both issues resolved, thank you very much for your help. space key is not needed you just need to look at the sky and hit w key for up and look and the ground for down but yes space key is up and Ctrl key is down too

If F2 does not work, you're either playing multiplayer on a server where flying is not allowed, or you're having maybe a Mac or Notebook, so you have to press FN+F2 to enable flymode
Good point Red i always forget that people play games on the Mac too lol

Makes sense - I've noticed that while placing planks, I can't always see the top of them. But how do I get higher? Haven't figured out a way to do that and I've tried. F2 doesn't seem to do much, but I'll try again.
if f2 does not let you fly then the server admin has this option turned off you will need to build a step going up your walls to get higher

I am not able to stack more than four rows of blocks to build a house. The first row half-sinks into the ground, creating the floor. The next three rows create 3/4 of the wall height. But then the cursor (white outline) won't go any higher than that. I've tried every key combination and watched numerous videos, but the folks narrating the videos don't tell you what keys they're pressing.
In addition, I'm having trouble with the extended menus on pig and cow meat inventories and for the tent and smoker. Pressing F only rarely brings up the menu, and when it does, I can't change the selection.
when using the f key always have the cross on the center of your screen on the subject, for the menu use the mouse wheel to move up and down the menu and right click, for blocks it sounds to me your too low as you build higher you also need to be higher, this is so you can get the cross on the center of your screen on top of the block and not just the side some times fly mode is better for this, if your game has it on hit f2 to fly f2 to un fly but note f key wont work when flying

Hi, i prefer prevent you guys, my English suck (I’m french) but I’ll do my best for describe my problem.
I just bought the game from steam like two hours before, i can't launch a new world or even connecting to a multiplayer server.
The loading stops at 10% and the game shut off.
I’ve try some change in graph configuration but nothing work.
I even try to virtualize a win7 and install the game on it but still don't work
I would try to use my other graphic card to run the game but i cannot even launch the game console (Tried the keys given even F12 but no one work)
Im on Ubuntu 14.04
Got a Nvidia GTX850M and a chipset intel
Intel i7-4710HQ
and 6Gb memory
