This may have already been answered by another thread and I just missed it, but I wanted to know if things we have created in the java version can be carried over to the unity version or maybe this will be possible later in the future or not at all.

The new version basically handles lots of construction elements much more efficiently than the Java version, so there should be an improvement in terms of performance But of course that highly depends on the hardware, and rendering lots of construction elements always come at a cost...
Having that said, if you run into performance issues in the new version (especially when it comes to detailed buildings), please let us know, so we can take a closer look at the issue (there is always a chance that there are still bugs which only occur under certain circumstances)

I haven't had to much problems with performance except when I take a large blueprint, with many many pieces in it and shrink it down as small as you can to set it. At this time, when walking around the object in question, response becomes jittery and clears up as you get farther away from the area in question. It doesn't make the game unplayable nor is it as bad as in the java version, but it is very noticeable. i.e. it is best to keep the number of pieces to a minimum, in a small area.
