Alternatively you can also provide a "+lang" (e.g. "+lang=en" or "+lang=de") argument to the commandline. For example, when using the Windows version, start it with "Rising World.exe" +lang=en (you could write a bat file for that).
Or when starting the jar file directly (on Linux for example), execute it with java -jar risingworld.jar +lang=enOf course @LordFoobar solution works as well, since the game sets the language according to your system language

I'm on Linux, and the console works fine. You'll have to find the shortcut, though, my keyboard is fr_CA and I need to press AltCar and the key to the left of the number 1.
Not sure how about your layout, though. The point is that, you may find a different key combo.
But the console works. -
