Smoke: EN: You can type "object technical_smoke 0" into console (to get a small smoke object), or "object technical_smoke 1" (to get a medium sized object) and "object technical_smoke 2" (to get a big smoke object). But don't place too many of them, since this may have a negative impact on performance 
It works great but how do you destroy it once it's set up?

Have you tried the normal methods: pointing and holding F or left-click a few timew with the pickaxe?
There is an invisible hitbox in the center of the smoke emitter. You can just destroy it with your pickaxe
Joy. Eventually I'd hope that we get a way to view such objects. Perhaps a functiob key in creative mode. There is another thread about custom doors here. The doors would require exposing the invisible moving parts so we can snap wood planks to them. Also would be useful if we decide to modify or destroy such doors. The same issue will come when we get other particle emitters such as water.
But hey, swinging a pickaxe around can be fun.
