The next update will be available on Wednesday, December 18, in the early evening (GMT+1).
This update will not yet replace the Java version, instead it is the actual content update. We'll provide more information about the transition together with the update.

I second that suggestion. I hope there will be different varieties of fences, wooden rail fences, barbed wire fences, chain link fences, etc. It will be a great addition to the game.
-
I'll have a YouTube video up in the hour.... I used banisters for now
-
....and that video is here: Let's Play Rising World(12-15-14)

I hope pigs and cows later try to eat crops c: Maybe even 'grow up a stage' so you get better meat items by sacrificing them plant items.
-
Fencing should be a given IMO, even if they don't add animal husbandry. Which they should. And fencing could be used to not only keep animals in, but keep animals out... predators and animals that would eat your crops like deer and rabbits. Maybe some chicken wire which can be used along with fencing (for the rabbits) but also be used to make chicken coop etc.. Of course chicken wire wouldn't be good enough for a cow. Maybe, in order to keep pigs for any length of time, you would need to sink boards into the ground along with your fencing so they can dig under. Just more stuff to craft and use... content..

tomorrow I'll do a video on some commands and "creative fencing"....yes let's call it that .

I agree on the fencing idea and gates.
If you could do a white Primed Wooden Picket fencing, which would look lovely around the house you have build with your own hand's.
There is fencing stakes, U fencing staples to hammer any thing you want type fencing on to the stakes.
you have a lot of different types of fencing,
Deer fencing mesh
Economy Anti Bird net Mesh
Fencing Line Wire steel straining line, is used to tension fencing between fence post. Think that a bit much for a game.
Galvanized straining line wire is used with chain link fencing, rabbit fencing, hexagonal wire fencing, stock fence, weld wire mesh and plastic garden mesh fences.
Galvanised steel line wire ensures the top of the fence netting / mesh is tensioned and taut. For high fences, the use of 2 or more line wires should be used to give the fence strength and help to prevent and damage by animals or vandal.Don't forget Barrier fencing pins for use with Orange barrier fencing. Building site's or stop people walking into large holes in ground.
then hopefully you can make nets for fishing, when working out the mesh on the game. good luck

Fences in general are easy to make using the plank and board methods.
Logs make great rail fences.
Planks can be run in a long line, using the +/- buttons to vary the spacing.Rope would be so handy for rope fences on docks.
Also for nets.I would like to see short little white picket fences, and standard rail fences: just for quick short set ups.
-
it seems impossible to get a cross hatched fence in this game. I cannot make planks rotate. They dont work the same as making a beam circle it seems..
-
Well actually I figured how to do it with woodbeams and woologs. Dont use woodplanks because they will not rotate properly.
