Chunk Boarders F10 in none creative mode

Hi all,

Does anyone know if there is a way to allow the F10 chunk fix in none-creative mode? I've looked through the javadoc but I don't seem to be able to see anything that would mimic this action.

I would like to allow all players to fix chunks themselves - unless there is a good reason why this is not enabled in none-creative mode?

well they can just hit the side of the chunk with any tool or place a block or something and the chunk will reappear, you don't really need to use the F10 key

Yes I know, I've done that myself, but with big chunk holes it's difficult (and dangerous), letting people use F10 would be much better solution

maybe @red51 could add the F10 key as an extra permission with the new update? Under Creative Mode permissions maybe? Btw @red51 I thought there was a command that did the same as the F10 tool but couldn't find any more info on it with a quick search on the forum, is there one or did I dream of it?

To this I forgot to answer but if people start spamming F10 then that might cause a heavy load on the server. But I have no idea what the actual impact would be i.e. latency, connection issues, etc.

I was using the wrong terminology, not chunk hole, lol, but broken land which you can fall through. Sometimes I come across big ones, some are small, and some are even underground where the end of a tunnel/cave goes into oblivion.

In regards to the spamming of F10, I was thinking of using plugin code to listen for F10 in survival mode, that way it can be mapped to the rebuild boarders (or whatever its called) and have a timer code to prevent spamming.

I'm more after API ability rather than direct F10 for users in survival mode multiplayer.

I guess it's indeed better to implement a proper method for the API instead of making F10 accessible in survival mode... with the next update, there will be a new fixChunkBorders(x, y, z); method in the "World" class which will do the same as F10

There is unfortunately no such command, but maybe we will add it in the future

Actually the current F10 tool has a small cooldown in order to prevent people from spamming (since there is indeed a chance that it causes a heavy load on the server)^^
