One can also extract cannabidiol (CBD) from hemp. CBD is the non-psychotropic component of the plant, as opposed to THC which gets you high. I take it myself. While it is not a cure-all, it does have many medicinal uses. It helps me sleep better. I am not sure what use that would be in a survival game context, though. However, hemp oil is used as a lubricant, so of we get any sort of machinery in the future, that might be useful. It can also be used to produce biofuel.
