for those of us who have the steam version then maybe crafting the suit and splunking Too Deep will unlock some kind of achievement.

I really like the way that you think. If the name helldiver is not copyrighted by Microsoft then we should make a suit like that and I believe that it should look like the space suit from the movie Sunshine that was designed to withstand extreme heat. I would also like to put a symbol of a handbasket in the middle so I can say that I'm going to hell in a handbasket

actually if you come across a lava tube and you are not sure if it's pressurized or not perhaps even tell by feeling the heat behind it or by blowing it up from a distance. I imagine that you do not want to be too close to a lava tube trying to open it up with a pickaxe. So it would be safer to drop a stick of TNT from above

Well, another idea is that lava tubes, some which would be dry, would be a place to find rare crystals such as diamonds which are formed in the mantle of the earth

In real life however, large geodes containing crystals are supposed to be pretty hot inside. In the video I posted, the explorers are having to take shelters in air conditioned spaces.

Well, there's already a illness setting in the game that is associated with any food you eat but it is not yet implemented. So when it is, for example, if you eat raw meat then you may get sick and lose health.

I'd like to think that environment will also play effect too. hypo/hyper thermia has been discussed already in older threads. So diving in water in a snowy biome should impact your health. i'd imagine getting close to a radioactive crystal could work too. I suggested a while ago a fictional element called Element51 (in honor of our amazing developer) that glows red could cause sickness but also could be a energy source. Clothing/armor should protect from heat, cold, and radiation. I certainly hope we would need special clothing to descend into hell without burning up.

Yes exactly. the "pillars" seen in the deviant art image could be like lava tubes that transport lava from pressurized pockets further below hell and push them up to the surface. it would look creepy to see this twisty structure rising up in hell but would also move lava up through a tube.

I'm pretty sure a music player which can link to your library has been discussed but I do not know if the developer is onboard with the idea or not. I think the chat was about making something like minecraft notes or to import sheet music into the piano. Personally, I just play the game with the game music off so I can listen to my music.

Alright, I'm avoiding political discussions here. But thankyou for clarifying the image. It made me think how cool it would be to see Locke from Lost ride on a polar bear.

I'm thinking about this more now. A submerging block would have to be made as well for submarine vessels. Actually, it would make sense to have 1 block that changes functions to accomodate situations such as drydocking a sea vessel and such. The other issue would be water entering a boat or submarine. the water code would have to be smart enough to no enter a vehicle if the gaps between the boards used to build the hull are small enough becuase i doubt anyone is going to build the perfect boat. Maybe a hull is a seperate object blueprinted so that the engine can calculate where not to render water (inside the vessel!)

So things like custom boats and airships, spaceships, and floating islands and moving castles have all been brought up. Lots of this stuff has been suggested but I honestly don't see much more than a simple boat being implemented in vanilla Rising World so here's what I think should happen. Create a special craftable (or spawnable) block. One is a flying block and the other is a floating block A floating block will not be allowed to go below or above the the water surface and cannot move onto surface. The flying block cannot go below water surface nor land surface but can touch land. Both when crafted should have a unique id (or custom id) to be exposed via API. The block is owned by a player or group. Players can then build a ship ontop of the block (the block should always be bottom center (the floating block should be placed a little above the bottom of the boat since boats sit in water). Perhaps an additional clip limiter block can be crafted and placed on ends of the craft to control limits so that when you land your massive airship next to a mountain, half the airhsip will not clip inside the mountain. We can then craft a control panel which can be linked to the block id and be mapped to the keyboard controls via pugin script.

I had a dream last night that I can only attribute to rising world due to the level of construction involved. it happened in the aftermath of Kefka's reign in Final Fantasy 6. Some friends and I had found and restored and improved the old Blackjack airship that was destroyed at the end of the World of Ballance. Anyways, after weeks of work we were flying around exploring the towns and old historical sites such as the remains of Kefka's tower. I woke up thinking how sad it is that 7 is getting a complete re-make but the prequel is left to poorly done ports or retold in 2D games for android with poorly rendered sprites.

Well if you're going for Nvidia physics hair then yea that could be hard but player models in games of 10 years ago always had hair it just doesnt "have to be" as realistic and bouncy like The Witcher :P
I mean not even bear fur does that in game

I was about to say, the new bear fur looks pretty well done. I didn't know human hair was that much harder. Speaking of, I wouldn't mind having the option to be an anthropomorphic animal in the upcoming character model. I hope the customization exists to make that possible. :)
