Absolutely love this new update! I been reading through all the previous updates for clues and reviewing the road map for the game and everything just came in sync perfectly. Thank you so much @red51. At first when launching the game I thought it was stuck in fullscreen but after a few tweaks in the configs I was able to disable fullscreen and reset the resolution. Got a video cooking up right now for tomorrow with one clue about the next update already posted by you. Got me excited Mister Red "Currently the boat does not consume any fuel, this will change in the future" Alright! Now that hit's the spot So I did happen to notice that the semi-automatic rifle doesn't fire off multiple rounds instead it's a single shot, which leaves me a bit confused? Is this intentional or a possible bug as I got mauled by 2 goats and a boar while firing at them from point blank range. I guess the Musket wins Well any ways back to editing just wanted to swing by here and share some thoughts and thank you for this awesome update. Lake Shamrock is going to be busy with Leprechauns playing jokes on fishermen and kissing couples on row boats... can you train an NPC to sit down?

Good morning everyone. For the record my update video will not be out till tomorrow today's episode of Rising World is about me speculating about what may possibly be coming and I am calling it the "Survival Update" because of the road map as set by the developer on both steam and as discussed in previews updates. I've gone through and read every single update thread and from what I've gathered I built this episode upon and backed up my world for later today.
Episode 164 - Survival Prep
Will You Survive?
-
What will be added in Update Sept 26?
My biggest guess is this is going to be the "Survival Update." At least that's what I am hoping for. After reading the road map for development and just about every post in the update threads I could find it sure looks like this is the survival update we've been waiting for. Crop failure, temps, disease, health issues and so much more. Bread is going to be a very yummy source of food even if it's cornbread.

Did I mention some screenshots to go with all those videos? Here we go:

Hi there ladies and gents how are you guys all doing today? I myself am feeling great and well got a couple episodes to share with you. I love watching your content and I hope you like watching mine just as much as I do yours. We Rising guys, we rising! #BetterTogether Oh Yeah So what's new on The Hermithood front? well episodes 162 & 163 let's give you a brief run down and then I'll share some screenshots:
Episode 162 - "Didi Visit's Lake Shamrock!" Wow this was fun, initially I invited her over to help me smoothing the roads but I decided to take her to the Lake. These roads are quite the chore and I can't find anyone that wants to help apart from Didi. Most days it's just me talking to you as we do the ol' 1,2 place & smooth; place and smooth. Which we'll be doing more of later today. Well here's episode 162 and I hope you enjoy!
Episode 163 - "Diner & Vault 001" I've got a feeling this game is heading down a post apocalyptic path, which may explain the reason for both modern and stone age equipment. As this may be the case I do hope this doesn't turn into yet another zombie game. Since buying this game I couldn't help but notice a lack of NCR, BOS, or other big Fallout Factions as they would be perfect for this game. So I decided why not build some vaults? You know add some lore to them, perhaps build Dry Wells, New Vegas and more? Maybe it all just fell apart and this is what's left of humanity? So building a diner alongside the highway with an elevator down to a vault where I will likely move the world spawn to seems like a wonderful idea.

Oh Deirde your funny. Always can count on you for the good morning laugh to brighten my day. Love the video and the concept of building a smurf village all you need now is Gargamel and his cooking pot So keep up the amazing work !
-
As I get ready to upload tomorrow's episode of Rising World I can't help but remember hey I need to share So today was episode 161.
Episode 161 - Stories & Lore: In this episode we continue doing some work on the highway but as we do this we discuss some idea's for Lake Shamrock. The scandals and how the leprechauns play a part and why they do. It seems kind of strange to me to lay such a ground work out but it'll be worth it. Meanwhile we try smoothing the road out in creative unsuccessfully and end up switching to a rake as we lay asphalt along the way to lock the chunks. I love stories they are what makes everyone of us special for each one of us we all have our own life story to tell that is never the same in detail as another. We grow up on stories, myths and fairy tales well me I never did give up. I still believe in them

4 new episodes to share with you guys & gals hope your up for some more Rising World this weekend as rush hour begins soon big round of applause to our developer @red51 for the excitement pouring in from all angles recently Don't forget to back up your worlds! I know I will be and not making the same mistake as last year. Anyways back to episode sharing
Episode 157 - Ocean Or Bust? Last episode we headed out west into the great unknown to find ourselves an ocean to map out the continent. In this episode we may have just found it or is it a bust?
Episode 158 - Lake Shamrock Well I guess it was a bust but it leaves me with a very good idea. You ever hear of the Loch Ness Monster? Well Lake Shamrock will be a quaint little fishing town plagued by Leprechauns . In this episode we follow the banks of what we mistook for an ocean and the lake looks like a cross between a head of broccoli and a clover patch which was where I got the idea for the name.
Episode 159 - Dusty Trails Last Episode we founded Lake Shamrock, today we begin rush hour. With the announcement of a new update coming out between Monday & Wednesday of next week we need to get a highway placed before it's too late. In this episode we create a long Dusty trail of dirt all the way out to Lake Shamrock so we could begin the smoothing and placing of asphalt. What this does is prevent the locally explored chunks from corrupting within a 25 chunk radius of all placed blocks.
"Episode 160 - Clearing The Highway" In this episode we clear all the vegetation from the highway leading from Lake Shamrock all the way to the Crossroads Bridge (We still have to finish that.) It's a long one but towards the end of the episode we visit our shops to discuss Lake Shamrock with the owners and Harold has something very interesting to say while Benny & Jasmine quarrel over whom the CEO of the Shamrock Casino should be. Afterall can't have the good without the bad
Now for tomorrow... I'm getting tired as the game keeps crashing over entity data that doesn't make a lick of sense to me and multiple attempts at recording where I keep failing to realize the mic isn't turned on because oh that montage didn't work out so well. So I'm going to give this one more round for tomorrow but it's going to be a bit talky as we set some more lore in place while building a highway.

So I am writing this in hopes I can hear from other Rising World fans out there and possibly even @red51 . This game is in Early Access and as it develops we will at times have to create a new world because of specific changes to the way the game has changed. In November of 2017 we had an update that caused many afflictions to some of our worlds. We had to start new ones which really isn't much of a problem now that we have mining drill a couple hours in creative and we have it all back. The reason I am writing this is because we have no idea what is coming in this next update. It's going to be quite the surprise for many of us but for some reason I feel the urge to reach out to all my fellow Rising World fans and remind you to "Back Up Your Worlds!" No I am not shouting at you just a friendly reminder that this game is still in Early Access. Which means there will be bugs, there will be world corruption and most importantly to be patient. I love this game just as much as you do and when things don't go right, your world decides to split in half, turn upside down or spawn an ocean above your ahead at least you have a back up save.
In the case that your world does become corrupted please don't flop around like a fish out of water and do the hoke poke wailing like a ghost. Instead take some time to calm down, then delete your save and go make a copy of your backup and paste it in your worlds folder then load it again. If it fails keep trying or rollback your version using the rising world / properties / beta's / "select your version". Then make sure your save is okay and load the game. There should be a version of every update of this game in the rising world / steam / properties folder if there isn't then come back here and leave a message so some one else could assist you.
Once Again everyone I must insist that you *Back Up Your Saves* before this update rolls out. Thank you.
~ Friendly Neighborhood Hermithood

Hello guys and gals tomorrow you may be in for a bit of a surprise with a double feature of Rising World Episode 157 scheduled for 9AM EST and Episode 158 scheduled for 3PM EST. Right now your probably wondering well what happened to Episode 156 and when did you start recording again? Well Episode 156 took off earlier today at 3PM EST where we left our home and decided to go West. Why West? Well to find water preferably a beach so that we may begin mapping the edges of our continent and all the way home. Creating markers for future cities, landscaping, farming and so much more. Season 4 went into Intermission then came back with a breath of fresh air. As stated before this world and season will be the longest running show I have ever created on YouTube.
Episode 156 - Going West "Wanna Be A Cowboy"
-
Good morning, afternoon, or evening to each and every one of you. Today I bring bad news and going to record a vlog about the changes in just a few minutes. First off I wanted to come by here and release the Season 4 Intermission. Now don't get me wrong Rising World will always be the core of my channel I just need a few weeks away from the game to refresh. We got camels, donkeys, horses, dungeons & even dummy npc's in these past few updates and I am not complaining here. Good coding takes time just like learning Java (in my case) is like taking your first steps; it's hard. Season 4 wasn't supposed to go into intermission till episode 200 but with the ctr, impressions & watch time taking a sky dive from 40+ views sometimes more to the single digits I have no choice but to do this.
In this video I head on over to Didi Christensen's world where I look upon the beautiful pond I built for her in creative mode. This is what we want to do to our rivers but the grind is real and can not be done in creative 100%. To reach river bottom & leave the bumps & bruises in the rock it requires a rake and lot's of people to help grind it out. So we take a tour of Didi's world to see what she has done so far. Everyone you never know, we need a new intro soon so we may come back sooner and set out on an adventure looking for a snow biome or a beach. Do these biomes have a unique spawn?

Good morning ladies & gentlemen it's a bright sunny scorcher outside and don't forget to where your sunblock and hydrate! Anyways today in Rising World well yesterday I recorded an episode for today where we begin construction of the Crossroads Bridge. Nowhere on earth or google could I find a single image of an actual bridge ever constructed in such a way as we are about to build. This bridge will connect 4 major highways with a custom river flowing through the bottom of it. This river will stretch off into a Y forming a 3 rivers at one point all flowing eventually into an ocean, well when ever we find it. Meanwhile we've got a lot of highway construction ahead of us to set the plots for farms, housing, cities & more. As we get further into the world we will take intervals and build a few houses, apartments hmm.. next week maybe? how about an apartment complex beside our JIW Shopping Plaza? Don't forget the dumpsters Alright guys here's today's episode of Rising World Episode 151 - The Crossroads Bridge:
Let's not forget some lovely screenshots!

Hi there everyone guys & gals of all ages and backgrounds So far it's been a rather enjoyable let's play. A little creative here, some survival mode there but the entire aspect of my LP is to build a world centered around today, yesterday and maybe even add some futuristic later on. Yesterday I recorded episode 150! That's a big number and we talk about the long road ahead giving a tour of what we have done so far and why it is taking so long to get projects done. I wish I could afford a server I really do so I'm going to try and give up tobacco once again. Here is episode 150 and I really hope you enjoy:
I been recording videos since April 17, 2015, been on YouTube since 2011. Played Minecraft for so many years that now we have data packs which uses the games own source code, I plan on trying to make my own to learn Java from it. as I do eventually port these same data packs to Rising World with some modifications. Sure it will be hard and I learn best from hands on side by side with a person rather than videos or hand written tutorials. As I grew up with multiple learning disabilities there may be some class's I could take though it would slow my channel down. If I take the classes there will only be two LP's 7 days a week which I enjoy most; Rising World & Force Of Nature. Here's a link to the Force Of Nature playlist. All the support matters and helps me create better quality content for you to enjoy. Have a nice day

i7 6700, GTX970 and 16GB RAM. But the game does not flow that way if I move pretty fast, I move quite slowly to make long shots without stuttering, and then I speed up in the video editor.
Here, the scenarios in this video have appeared before, so I increased the speed even more to show my new preset shader.
So basically your taking snapshot clips where frame rate is at it's best & speeding it up? I know I can do things like this with Movie Maker "(Version 2012) latest build as I can shorten clips and add music for a montage. My PC Specs: AMD A10-6700 APU Quad Core with Radeon 3.70 GHz each, 8 GB RAM, 64 bit OS, AMD Radeon HD 8670D Display (Graphics) I can run most games on this PC still but it's still limited by the amount of RAM. In either case love your PC seems like a good bargain in 3 more years I can get a newer model

Here are a few screenshots of the florist's greenhouse.
-
Next week we'll be amping up the building process around town possibly even build a bank For today though, we build the outdoor greenhouse for the Florist's shop in montage mode even with some custom shelving! Monday we do the interior of the shop

Hi guys & gals can you believe we have reached 140 episodes so far? Despite the sudden drop in subscribers I keep on making content because it makes me happy and hopefully you as well. Dagoline has left quite an impression on me & I would like to ramp up some progress on my own single player world. Today in episode 140 I wanted to begin working on the florist shop since we never touched that place before nor finished it. Got side tracked more than once but today as I get ready to record episode 141 I wanted swing by here and share what we've done so far.
We discovered the secrets of the PNB plugin using commands and can now spawn in virtually any texture with the exception of stained glass. Head to the desert to gather sand and find a pyramid that's so empty I can't wait to tear it down and possible rebuild one even bigger on the surface later on . Well here's the episode hope you enjoy!
-
You must have a beast of a computer to be able to do this. Nice job!

Hey guys and gals sorry for the extreme delay in sharing my content I was feeling out of it, not burnt but just out of it. Started a new medication my head went into cloud 9 and just sort of got stuck there so I never got around to sharing anything. Today I want to make up for that. Let's start by saying that I am sorry. My Dad was in the hospital recently and it just made matters worse and I just didn't feel the "me" anymore. So I got 9 episodes for you episodes 131-139 which episode 139 just released today. I only just switched the scheduled time of release to 9AM EST on Tuesday this week. Spent the weekend with my Dad and didn't record over the weekend as to me family matters. Here's the videos:
Episode 131 - In episode 131 I began to feel a bit depressed and out of it so we built a wire frame house at the fort.
Episode 132 - @dagoline has very kindly provided me with a copy of her world. In this episode we talk about my thoughts surrounding the modding community in Rising World as we traverse the Mysterious road south of our castle.
Episode 133 - We continue on our adventure in the world of @dagoline and discover many cool structures, castles & custom villages.
Episode 134 - As we continue our adventure in discovery we find Jack Frost & many awesome icy wonders!
Episode 135 - As we continue our adventure across @dagoline s world we stumble across a rather interesting biome an Oasis that comes with camels!
Episode 136 - Dagoline's world is very magical so today we teach our horse the ways of Shadow from Skyrim so that she may climb the highest mountains and navigate the treacherous dips & swallows of the mountains deep all the while finding beautiful land and forest all around us.
Episode 137 - The Horse Whisperer? Hmm.. Our horse knows her by now let her guide us the rest of the way home for she knows the way better than I. Baby is such a beautiful faithful horse!
Episode 138 - We head back to my world to update the subscriber sign as we reached 178 subscribers! We have a lot of houses to build to thank each and every one of them and one for each of them. So let's start by first updating the subscriber sign.
Finally.. Today in Episode 139 we repair the JIW Shopping Plaza from the irregular blueprint job. For some reason or another when the blueprint was made it deleted the entirety of the backside of the building including the warehouse dock. Today we begin to correct that mistake.
