A new update is now available, introducing fishing, climbing gear, clothes and more!
Latest hotfix: 0.8.5.3 (2025-05-09)

well its possible now with a little coding and unity work, all blueprint models can be exported as .obj files an obj is a 3d model the only downside is they have no textures, this means you will need to import them into unity and add your own textures, and turn them into a prefab that you can then program using the API to move and float on water, kind of like my helicopters i added

Wow. That seems like a complicated process, but I am impressed with your work. I really hope that Red might use that work (compensated if you wished) to create a system for us to do precisely this sort of thing in game!

Would there be a way to keep animals off the shore or built structures? Or land where we've changed the shore? I have a canal they just won't stay out of.

Animals seem to get stuck on the very steep shorelines and either drown or just endlessly tread water. And where I have built a dock they get stuck in the boards and don't move on. In fact, it would be helpful if animals would try to avoid areas where we've built things. Having them wander the village streets is a bit weird.

May suggest that as a temporary solution we really don't need realism. Putting a saddle on a horse doesn't automatically tame it IRL, nor does whistling as in other games. But at least those are solutions for gaining control of the animal npc and don't require new animations. Singleplayers aren't very concerned with animations (admittedly).

Picking up a small animal and having it just appear in inventory would be fine also. Then we can place it like any other object when we get to our enclosure.

A mechanism for herding other kinds of animals, goats, sheep, pigs, cows similar to the whistle method could be employed if you wanted something semi-realistic. And it would use the walking animations already in the game. You could point at the critter and issue the "you're tamed" command and voila it's yours. Though I suppose you could have some other hoops for us to jump through first.

It's not that complicated :) if you have a reference picture of the ship you want to build i might give a go to build it for you ;) if you want

Thanks for your kind offer, but what would be the fun in that?? ;) I did download your yacht and looked at it, noticing that you used regular blocks at different angles, which is fine, the build is beautiful. But up close it has a bit of wonky angles too. So I don't feel so bad, now, if the great Drakonas also has imperfections. Sincerely--you are great! I tried several methods and finally settled on Frankenstein-ing some different shaped pieces together... It almost works. LOL.

I'll post it when I am done. I'm sure with more practice I'll figure out something to make those parabolic(?) shapes better. Though, what I wouldn't give for bezier curves and editable single points of a block!

Well, yes I know how to do that, but when there are multiple angles and it expands in two directions. That's where I am having trouble. I'll look at your yacht and see how you did it. I'm probably making it mor complicated than it needs to be.

And here I am struggling with how to build a simple fishing boat. How do you get the smooth angles of the prow to rise up and expand outward from the keel? That has been my downfall.

Could we get a wire mesh or netting material/block? This would be so useful as fencing, baskets etc. Perhaps it would have to be like glass panes if the game interprets this as something flat and semi-transparent.

Also additional fabrics, and patterned textures for use as wall coverings, curtains, flooring etc. We did have a few more nice tile patterns in the old game, so more like that.

    Thanks!

Oh this is lovely! So complete with all the little details. I may just use the that blueprint to walk through and take note of all the little things you added. (You included the furnishings?) Well, I'll soon see!
