@red51, the latest hotfix broke the "Create World" button. It does nothing, just sets the focus back to the name of the world.

Thanks @red51, the rectangles underwater have indeed been fixed after the last hotfix.
The snow/grass under buildings remains an issue (like the video I posted before showing the snow going up and down).
Amazing work

Rendering issues when there are blocks near the surface.
For example here the snow, but also happens with grass.
The "height" of the snow varies with the position of the avatar.

Linux seems fixed with the hotfix.
I am in!
Issue: in crafting the 3d models for resources, lights and medical show garbage instead of the models.
General and Crafting stations are fine.

That was a bumpy start... the nightly should be ready now, maybe you have to restart your Steam client in order to get the update
Looks like that's the case.
It's downloading!!
Thanks @red51

I am in Perth. I play on Serenity, and get between 200 and 500 (depending of other users at my home). Until around 380-400 is playable (exploring, mining, building). Note though that there is no PvP in Serenity. I haven't tried hitting someone in other servers.

Hi @red51
Could you post another update on how things are going? No ETAs, no promises, just maybe a new sneak peak on something new to keep us engaged?
Thanks!
-
I'd laugh if Red51 did a stealth update without the forum blue banner to troll us in return.
What? Didn't you get the update last night? It's awesome!
*Just teasing!*

There were two people on Discord who posted on in the 'Game suggestions' channel questioning why they bought a 'shitty' game. They laughed like a bunch of morons that they are, assuming they're so clever when mocking Rising World, comparing it to Rust & all that stuff. I wanted to read the whole chat log, yet it was purged so I couldn't make full sense of it. They left soon after once both Botchikii & rock0head132 intervened on there. I was too busy at work to do anything, yet glanced at it at 6 am & around 1 pm.
The negative reviews also taking advantage of the silence that people want their 5 seconds of fame. It's silly, and they should indeed feel embarrassed about it, something they won't.
Best way to deal with trolls is to ignore them.

Hi!
Suggestions for the beginnings of the industrial era:
- Steam machine (for power):
- add coal
- add water
- ligth
- get movement that can be then attached to the two other ideas below- smelter:
- just drop one particular ore (or a couple if there are mixes later)
- add coal
- force air (powered by seam machine above
- make tray and put tray
- get ingots
- as long as there are ores (you could be adding as it goes down), coal and forced air, smelting happens. put a tray and open lever to get the melted metal into it so it becomes ingots.
- must be difficult to start (as real big smelting things are: lots of coal, lots of forced air) but once going it is efficient: this will mean it is not worth for small batches of smelting, but very efficient time wise for large batches.- fabric machine:
- sort of the same, just drop thread (made with a similar machine?)
- select fabric type perhaps
- attach to steam machine for power
- get fabricsCheers,
Marcos -
Or even better, be able to create ANY shape in a "design bench" and then "cut it" in the blockbench.

The converters however haven't always been perfect and some strange things can be seen sometimes in the land. Holes to nothingness (can be fixed most times by pressing F10), flying plants, et cetera.
Also I read somewhere that Red51, even though tries his best to not break previous maps, does not guarantee that. He has said before not to get very attached to a map, just in case.
I think that's perfectly fine, it is an alpha game after all, we should expect changes that are not backwards compatible with previous maps, in particular with big updates like the one coming.
I would be happy just with blueprints being converted properly from version to version so you can deploy your builds from previous version maps into new ones
Go @red51!
