    Oh, interesting. Yeah, personal horses would be interested indeed :D Nice idea, and no rush. If someone does make a plugin that be interesting, but until then I guess I'll just be careful with my horse (my mounts) as to not lose them while having them nearby. I don't want to burn you out, yet wanted to suggest because of a noticable void that should be filled in at some time in the "far" future.
    But thanks for the mounts. I'm having fun with them that they're really speeding things along now. It's awesome. :thumbsup:

    Not a fan of personalized mounts. The ability the steal mounts will be a great asset to the PVP/Survival game. The ability to domesticate cows and such on the other hand is great for the PVP/Surv game but you cant steal them or sell them with that routine.


    The ability to keep the locked up behind the protected doors is a strategy for PVP to keep you mount. Holding them in place and locking your saddle up is also worthwhile.

    All I did was delete the old directory and install the new one from the zip. I changed out the announcements.


    If I delete the color it would show the first line but only with the showann command not when you log on.


    The shutdown timer thing was there are defaults in the config and it will announce at that time. I did not know how to turn it since I did not need it. It cannot shutdown my server as it requires a command setup from server console screen so I assume it is just a timing thing for autoserver resets. I can live without this.


    It is not a big deal the old one works fine for me.. really, but willing to help if I needed to see.

    Reverted back to the older revision. I could not get the messages to work for login of any sorts. The shutdown timer goes off without editing the default file, useful but not needed at this time. I am good for now dont need the newer stuff or bots at this moment.

    only admins can TP on our server, otherwise players have portals they can use (thanks to mino). I dont think a PVP server should have /tp home abilities lol, heck no. Even portals is a bit much, but at least they have to travel to that location. ;) PVP/Survival orientated here.


    Also, wanted to note, portals work great with horses too!! (if they are large enough lol) 4x6 space/opening/entrance needed, so I need to resize my return portals to main spawning no pvp town (Port Chesterfield) :)

    OK great.. well my server has TP points for tourists.. ala those building servers.. so you can set up in differing areas. I use portals for different things but have not tried it with mounts.. so I am glad it works.. I have some Aktivesigns that people have to pay to TP to special locations but you cant do that at all mounted. I dont have the Home routine.

    The recent upgrade to mounts in the game is raising a question I have about the validity of Teleportation with the Mounts on the fly. The TP routines on PVP server including mine offer a juxtaposition. The ability in a PVP to suddenly despawn and spawn many Km away is sort of a ZugZwang for the PVP game servers, if you will. On one hand the TP allows new players to visit places and tour a server to determine where they might want to start their quests. It can provide for a method of traveling to interact with other players on both an economic level and a PVP. Yet, if it can be done on the fly while running from an adversary it might be a different feeling for both players.


    So the question for debate is do routines need to be modified to require and dismount and interaction using such tools as Aktivesign or possibly a portal behind some doors or is it to be kept in its current state on the PVP servers? :huh:

    TP whilst mounted works fine on my server, I DO NOT get dismounted nor see animals falling to hell from doing this. I do however notice more of a performance hit on the server since the mount update (many players traveling far and wide on mounts), and have since upped my ram allocation and replaced one buggy plugin with another that seems to be working much better (old autolevel plugin was hitting my DB HARD .. especially after after autoranks took place (kept hitting DB even after uprank took place). Using Mino's server tools to handle the autoranking and it seems to have taken some of the strain off (no repeated DB hits anymore). Thanks Mino!

    Are you considering taking it out? I think it is great right now but if someone is chasing you you can just Jump to a new point and never be seen again. I would think a PVP would not like that capabilities. My PVP is not as mature as Wild Frontiers.


    I like the Warp in the Aktivesigns thing .. that requires interaction so you have to dismount which would leave you mount behind.. Maybe a cost for TP while mounted if someone is capable of programming that .. but still from a PVP point it is looking sketchy to me. - prolly should be in that thread instead of this one.

    for some reason I cant get the messages to work with this version. Is there something that we need to turn off or on?


    Can I just delete the Restart stuff since I do not use that on my server?

    • a means to have a campfire that we can pickup, so we can cook and stay warm while on horseback outings. Otherwise all the servers will be littered with campfires.. I will have to post a sign .. please destroy your campfires while camping on horseback. :whistling:

    I know how the doors work and they don't anymore as they did before the new update so my question to @red51 remains if he changed something there ?(

    They are different but I am saying I can close them from both sides but not the same way. This was legitimate feedback not for you to take my head off. X/ Come to my server and I can show you it is not on the door when you want to close it , teh hit box is where it will be when it closes. When you want to open it then it is in the correct spot

    with the new update it seems you cannot open and close doors from both sides but only from one. Is that intentional?

    On grates it is tricky sometimes on the edge. I have found on double doors it is pretty tricky as it seems you have to looking at where the door will be when it opens or closes from the direction you want. That is if you are inside and the door and it is closing look where the handle will be when the door is finished its action and you will find the hit box there.

    Seems the issue of seeing the horse is good but we had a funny deal just happen. I took a saddle off a horse but the other player still saw it and could ride it while I could not ride it. It walked around like it had no saddle for both of us. Once I put a saddle on it both of us could ride it.


    I believe their is an issue with ABM, on a server I was on this morning, the horse had a "Horse XXXXX (Wild)" statement over it, even though it was saddled, and ridden.On other servers with ABM this is not happening. Is it possible your client or server has a experimental version of ABM? Or it could be that the ABM plug-in is conflicting with another plug-in?


    I would also suggest you try Potatoes, as that is another of the "other animals" food.

    Wonder if i can get assistance. My horses even after being saddled wander off and am not aware what food to tame them with? Are they already added into the abm? P.s Carrots didnt work neither did lemons ....

    you can only keep them if they are saddled.. and not ABM does not make them yours... Actually hope it never does.
