I did have an IP listed in the server_ip and I deleted it and that seem to have fixed it. However, how long will it take before the server is showing up?

I have attached the log here.

My old server had quests people could do called "treasure Hunts". I was asking if people could write a plugin where i could make "notes" that could be found all around or inside chests that had clues on them on where to go or have a riddle on them. No one wanted the money I guess I was going to pay to have them do it. So I made it where people had to bust through walls, rock, dirt, etc. in order to read the next clue on a wall. The prize was 64 of every ore, steel tools, saddles and other goodies. An added bonus of protected land mass that was the size of an entire map page. (600 X 600). It wasn't an easy task because you had to follow paths or go into caves to find your next clue. It had its dangers like Bandits, bears, boars, skeles and other NPC's. I was trying to make it sort of like an "Ever Quest" style of quests because it made you roam large areas and had to fight and face danger. I also created areas that were beautiful that were not claimed so people could of found the best plot of land they could of had. Some people complained that it was too hard because they didn't want to die or work hard at it to get the prize. Even though you kept ALL your inventory on death, they must of thought my server was a socialism type government where they get everything for free and didn't want to work for it. lol.

Down the mountain to the right, is the testing area with guns, bottles, a megaphone and extra picks. Practice your aim by shooting the bottles off the wall and explore the brick structure to see groovy game making things.

I'm sure this would be a lot of work but, it would be cool if you could choose your own time period. Like Jurassic days with dinosaurs, thick vegetation and volcanos, Ancient Egypt days with lots of sand and lots of NPC dummies' to work for you, Medieval times to pre industrial to bronze age, etc. to modern times. the crafting tables would be set up for those particular time periods. I'm still hoping you will throw in a random big foot or yeti somewhere :)

Good idea. Thank you. I may start my next world as flat. It would avoid the varied water levels I'm currently dealing with. I'm working with weirs now as water ramps to transit levels. It works but it's not elegant. :)

Also, it is great to build on since there is no mounds or dirt to move to make your area flat :)

Not in the new version... I haven't made any large terrain changes there yet. Considering it will be ocean & islands it will probably already have a lot of what I'm trying to accomplish with the java version.

In the java version, I've converted many biomes to Water World types, with extensive islands populated with critters & bandits. I'm currently converting an entire ocean biome into a large broken island ring similar to what you would see in the Marshall Islands, along with smaller islands in the middle (some with structures under them). Long rivers & canals (some underground), mostly bounded by thick vegetation, connect to other widely spaced areas, some taking quite a while to traverse. And then there are the constructions... I don't know if this amounts to 'large scale', but it sure is fun and habit forming. ^^

Thank you again for such an awesome creation!

I made a "Flat Earth" version where there are no mountains, no dungeons just flatness everywhere!

Once it is finished, you could have a Star Trek server where we all live on the Enterprise and "Teleport" (portal) down to the planet to gather food and resources, etc. Maybe some customized clothes (uniforms) for us. People start out as "ensigns" and the longer they play on the server, they get promoted with better quarters and updated permissions. you can have NPC dummies' as crewmen/women at the transporter and other stationary positions. The possibilities are endless in a Star Trek server!

Hello, I have been on a couple servers where I have seen Bandits wearing normal clothes or using flashlights instead of torches. Can someone inform us how that is done? I would love to customize a bandit. Thanks.

Ok, I did add the RAM to 8000 and that worked. I installed the 64 bit version of Java 8 and restarted computer. I ran the bat file and all was successful. However, I do not see the server name in multiplayer.

If you have the regular Steam client installed (and if you own the game on Steam), you can also find the dedicated server under "Tools" where you can just download and run it through Steam :)

However, if you want to set up the server via SteamCMD, this thread contains a few more information about that: Set up a server with SteamCMD

I have the dedicated server software but when I run it, i see a command prompt pop up for a split second then goes away. Thats it. What do I do after that?
