Once it is finished, you could have a Star Trek server where we all live on the Enterprise and "Teleport" (portal) down to the planet to gather food and resources, etc. Maybe some customized clothes (uniforms) for us. People start out as "ensigns" and the longer they play on the server, they get promoted with better quarters and updated permissions. you can have NPC dummies' as crewmen/women at the transporter and other stationary positions. The possibilities are endless in a Star Trek server!

Hello, I have been on a couple servers where I have seen Bandits wearing normal clothes or using flashlights instead of torches. Can someone inform us how that is done? I would love to customize a bandit. Thanks.

Disney now has the muppets labeled as racist as well.

Ok, I did add the RAM to 8000 and that worked. I installed the 64 bit version of Java 8 and restarted computer. I ran the bat file and all was successful. However, I do not see the server name in multiplayer.

If you have the regular Steam client installed (and if you own the game on Steam), you can also find the dedicated server under "Tools" where you can just download and run it through Steam
However, if you want to set up the server via SteamCMD, this thread contains a few more information about that: Set up a server with SteamCMD
I have the dedicated server software but when I run it, i see a command prompt pop up for a split second then goes away. Thats it. What do I do after that?

I have asked to have someone do a you tube video of how to set up a home server. No one seems to want to. I have offered to pay the person to do so, but still no one seems to want to.

I requested an "undo" option a while ago. I still really need one.

red51, any chance at adding a Bigfoot, yeti, sasquatch, skunk ape, etc. to the world? Also what about fishes that swim? A pet dog that follows you and hunts with you would be nice as well. Thanks!

And it all started when their server my World is on crashed and they had to replace it.

I did exactly as requested. The portal.jar did create the assets folder. I then went back on to my server and still no dice.

Nope, Only Area protection is in the scripts. There are a few other plugins that don't work and have stopped only after that server crash.

Dedicated Server Setup Here is the most detailed server set up guide we have on the forum, I think
Since your server has a name people can most likely find it by that name even if the IP is not static on your end
I watch youtube videos on "how to" on other games and they are perfect. I am hoping someone would make a rising world you tube video on how to setup a dedicated server. I got as far as the running the server but it does nothing but show a command prompt for a split second and then it disappears and does not show up as running.

I reloaded the portal file tree that was working since I added it. Here is a video showing what happens when I hit enter after typing the command:

I downloaded the server files on 11/30 so I have a recent backup. I removed all the folders and just had the Portals folder in the plugins folder. I just added the .jar file and restarted the server. I went on and still no luck. All portals did not work as well. I then re upload the files, and placed them back and now none of the portals work. I dont know if it's me or what. I guess I will need to close down my server. I just paid for December so I guess it ends on jan.1 2021 exactly 2 years from its birth.

How about a how to create a Rising World dedicated server tutorial for us idiots lol

I am going to intently try and start a home server. I'm a novice at all the computer "how to" and I am searching for the best tutorial on how to set up a home server. There are some on you tube I follow but when I launch the Rising World dedicated server icon, the command prompt window comes up for a split second then goes away. I was hoping for a GUI type program to make it easy to maintain but I guess there is not. Thanks for all your help Mino.
