RW is a fantastic platform which can be used in many ways. Elswhere members are coming up with great ideas for early crafting and as you can see in other posts there are many thoughts and ideas.
Maybe further down the line we might be able to mod the game and add our own elemaents to create different biomes, maybe a medieval, RPG whatever theme.
Maybe there's a market for Red to launch addons periodically, I'd be happy to see him gain a bit more revenue from his project.

I really like the idea of tools from stones from zfoxfire's 1st post.
It would be great to have flint knapping. Prehistoric man collected flint and used two to form all kinds of tools and weapons this process was called knapping.

There are some great ideas all round the limits of this game are only our imaginations.

I got SH3 last on Steam sale thanks. http://store.steampowered.com/app/15210/ A great buy also reminds me of one of the best war series I ever watched https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/das_boot/?search=das boot
Yes it's the parallel teversing that does for me
Be good to see the Twitch Streams
be good to have a 4x4 in RW mwybe with a trailer so you can collect ore/wood or harvest crops.
That in turn could promote trade etc.,

Forgot to mention I got Scrap Mechanic the other day. Not had much chance to play it much but it does look to be in the same type of freedom. You can build both vehicles and buildings and there look to be some cool remote controls http://scrapmechanic.gamepedia.com/Scrap_Mechanic_Wiki

I share your view on Lego Worlds It's certainly more arcade like. Will keep an eye open in the sales for Silent Hunter.
I must admit I;m not that great at reversing into bays in ETS2 Need more practise.
@Mlwarre That's a shame ETS2 and your Linux box. Have you seen this link ? http://blog.scssoft.com/2013/0…x-beta-of-euro-truck.html

This whole mix up of 'your' & 'you're' is messing with my mind
Sorry
Your = your car your game etc,
You're = short for You are eg You're going to the pub

Is it appropriate to call someone a grammar nazi on a German forum?
a Brexiter is probably more appropriate

I've got Euro Truck Simulator 2, got it for the same reasons you mention

love the whole freedom of it. The same freedom you see in Rising World & Minecraft, and even Skyrim. Do things on your own terms where you aren't shoved into a linear gameplay style.
, Must admit I've not played it much, too busy playing RW
. After reading your post, you've encouraged me to dust it off
thanks,]

bump to let everyone know that the script now has /we fill water and /we fill saltwater you will need to have the latest update for this to work witch will be the next bug update red will post that soon.
Thank you very much
-
i was thinking the canteen, but the bucket is used to fill ponds, and what i heard, the canteen was oringially going to be part of the new player models, so it could go anywhere i guess.
Yes agree with the bucket could go either way, but canteen is equipment when you go exploring
Unless your building is on fire and your playing fireman, but I'm probably getting ahead of things
-
With the Canteen and perhaps a lesser extent the bucket, might these join the watch and compass in the Equipment slots ?
-
Great stuff Red, guess your not a football fan
-
Blacksmith comes to mind as a source of tools etc., to supplement the small store.
-
Great thanks for the insight, plenty to look forward to.

That would be fantastic, will look forward to it. I'd like to try placing water with the /we fill but haven't managed it, do you happen to know the ID pllease. Sorry to be a nuisance

Oh I'll check that out, many thanks.
Wonderful, you guys are stars. adding the -p to the end of the command eg /we place halfblockt 149 -p worked a treat, altered the selection, raising the height and reran the place command giving the result seen below.

Can use the same principal to do walls.
Have you ever played or seen From the Depths. The building mode on that has a great feature. You can select a mirror mode, where anything built on one side of a centre line is repeated on the other. I think that there might be some mileage in that for RW ?
I think using these commands almost like an advanced building mode, I really value them.
-
Hi,
I find I'm using these commands more and more in my building, it certainly can speed up the construction of large areas. One Command I would find very useful is a reselect. I'm thinking this could be especially useful for placing say multiple level floors or adding walls to a building where the only change to the previous selection is in one dimension for examplethe height.
Currently I'll select an area then use the place command to place the blocks. Then have to go through selection again for the next floor, it would be great to call back the previous selection and simply raise or lower the height for instance.
