If possible, please change the properties of the glass and metal blocks so that they do not let water through.
It's on the roadmap under "water" for world generation
"Water collision with construction elements (TBD)"

SIDE NOTE this forum had a section to advertise your server is that still around?
Personally I agree with Avanar that cars / trucks won't make it in this year. Red51 already has it planned that there are more regions and biomes to add, the rest of the water mechanics to be implemented, persistent item placement, and some other core mechanics that really are the rest of the foundation for everything else.
I think the next vehicle type we see implemented will be something like minecarts as those are the basis for trains and also probably some type of transport ship.

Post your requests / suggestion for plants you want to see in Rising World and I'll add them to the list in the main post. Please try to list the common name, scientific name, and photo for reference whenever possible. Some plants have many different names in different regions , languages, etc. so this will make it easier to make sure we're listing the right ones. Not to mention there's some out there that might not be commonly known.
----------------------------------------------
Note: This is a remake of the original (wanted plants - compiled list) Thread that's been better organized and with all of the scientific names, etc. so try not to suggest ones already listed.
Did you mean that sarcastically? I'm asking because I definitely didn't mean it sarcastically. But you could read both our posts that way and I'm not sure how you read it?
And because I actually only saw that the carnivorous plants didn't make it onto your list. And I think the plants are very beautiful.
And I just wanted to suggest making a list just for one tropical biome.
Maybe we have more chances with that.👉👈
No, not at all.
The more I thought about it the more it made me think that with all the different languages, common names for the same plants, familiarity or not with different regions, etc. that it would probably be better to redo it with more information. I just keep getting distracted with other stuff and forgot to do it. lol
I tried it in the stream, but since water unfortunately flows through blocks, the lava stone obsidians with the water and blocks the channel.
maybe lining the tunnel with regular stone before having the water flow will prevent the obsidian from forming and allow the water to flow, but I'm pretty sure there isn't a way to drain large amounts of water into hell because that would cause a lot of recalculations and crash unity.
Hello everyone,
thanks again for all the tips
Quick question : What's your key layout? Is it the original, or are there any secret or special tips?
I personally stick with the default key layout as even with my arthritis it's easily to control everything and easy to remember the keys.
The only thing I had changed was using the middle mouse button to duplicate a block, but that stopped working for me a couple of updates ago.
You missed Venus flytrap. And a few others. But the Venus flytrap is soooo important. 😅
Think I'll go through and redo the whole list adding the scientific name, common name, region found, etc. for them and maybe even see if I can find different asset packs that have the plants in them that fit Red51's criteria, etc. Maybe that'll nudge him towards adding some to the game.
1) This belongs in the Multiplayer section
2) Administrators are not always also the server owner. Larger servers tend to have multiple admins that help spread the duty throughout the day / night.
3) Yes, server owners set the rules that players, other admins, etc. must follow.
4) No, Admins are not always right.

The best / longest lasting servers are the ones where there's actually a sense of community and commonwealth, the world has enough tyrants. Sic Semper Tyrannis
Lime based plaster has been around since 7500 B.C. and Earthen plaster even longer than that, but it requires a "Modern Workbench" to make... please someone make that make sense. lol
---------
REALLY need to bring back the Block Workbench from the Java version. This primitive stuff requiring the Modern Workbench it nuts.
I don't have an answer to your question, but do have a question for you. Why are you using two slopes to make a triangle when there is a triangle block already?
What is U.M.A. ?
Unity Multipurpose Avatar aka U.M.A.
Very simply put it's for character creation / customization.
more technical explanation
It allows for an optimizes multiple layers of clothing instead of the current one layer that we have right now. Think of it like being able to put on a shirt, coat, and scarf at the same time whereas right now our characters basically take off their shirt to put on a coat. There's a lot more than can be done with it, that's just one example. It's also been around for years and well supported so there's tons of different character models, etc. available for it along with countless accessories like clothing, etc.

Not sure if this has been discussed before, but we really need the ability to resize the different storage like chests, barrels, sacks in survival mode without having to switch to gm to do it.
Just suggesting a version of the open barrel that is tied to the trashcan mechanics so we have a more rustic / old world option in survival mode.
Cloaks and capes would be cool, so you can get extra warmth in winter! and you could upload a image on ur cloak
I'm still personally hoping eventually Red51 switches to using U.M.A. and it's framework for the characters. It makes multiple clothes layers much easier to do while still keeping the performance for lower-end systems. Not to mention it would very greatly expand character customization.
Probably it's a good idea to always hide the crosshair if the line is cast... I will change this with the next hotfix
Tried it after the hotfix, much better and luckily no fish were hurt in the attempt....caught two sticks. lol
It's definitely good to have more options for baits. Although corn is very easy to obtain (much easier than earthworms or guts), so probably it would be better to have a recipe which requires more ingredients to craft a corn-based bait
I will think about that...
Or another option (especially once food spoilage comes into play) could be stale bread for freshwater fishing. That would require a lot more steps and give a reason to use stale bread.
Tried the fishing just to get an idea of what it's like for building a fishing hut for a village build.
My suggestions:
1) An option for the cursor to auto-hide when the fishing rod is equipped / line is cast.
2) The ability to use corn as bait (works well irl and doesn't require killing anything for those that eventually want to catch and release fish when we can eventually tame / stock ponds, etc.)
-----
Save an animal, eat a human.....would solve so many problems. lol
(had to get a joke in there, although a vegetarian making suggestions for fishing in a game is a joke in itself)
There have actually been a few discussions about this... I think we can finally get it into the game with the next regular update... CursedXistence is eagerly waiting for it too
I'm just a little unsure about the standard size of the torus. It would typically be one block across, but not very tall, so it would be more like 0.1 to 0.2 blocks high or thick. Does that roughly match your idea?
What, little old me....nah not at all... only been waiting for it since the beginning of time... lol
Jokes aside, there's only a few block shapes overall that are still missing after the last group you added and torus and torus segments have seriously been one of the most requested ones. Being able to make more realistic looking ropes / bindings will definitely be a big game changer for us builders.
