A new update is now available, introducing fishing, climbing gear, clothes and more!
Latest hotfix: 0.8.5.3 (2025-05-09)

Yes, as mentioned, that's definitely planned :)

    Oh? Did I miss something?

    Yes, that's definitely planned ;)

Yup, I missed your last quote.... I'm losing my mind.

I wish I saw this sooner so I wouldn't sound stupid. But yeah, I appreciate this and thanks a lot

Sorry for skipping your last quote. I'm genuinely losing my mind. I'm however happy you're planning it. Thanks

This is awesome! I wish I could give you multiple awards. I wanted to give you a trophy AND a heart smiley.

The only flaw I could find with your previous Titanic is the accessibility at the bow with the cranes. I had to make an ugly ramp to access the passenger area. For your Titanic I'll add it into my world ASAP, and again into our actual world coming April, or so. Would there be a chance to have interiors later? I was stunned and amazed with what you had done with the interiors.

Once we get more furniture and doors it shall be amazing to decorate the Titanic.

What did the command prompt claim exactly? Was it a message like "No more undo steps to perform"?

If that happens again, a report would also be very helpful :) But as sharkbitefischer mentioned, you can also use the F7 removal tools in creative mode to easily get rid of large amounts of construction elements.

Probably that. If at all possible, as noted previously, is it at all possible to simply prompt up a window with a menu of what blueprints to remove? Please? I'll try again with the F7 removal tool. I tried cycling through those options, nothing wanted to work on me at a whim. Probably because it was a whim. I'll try again tonight.

There is a command "clearinventory" though, but other than that, there is no key to purge the inventory...

The only situation the game clears the inventory automatically is when an invalid item was detected, or more precisely, when the serialized inventory data is corrupted

I'm going to assume it may have been an 'inventory data is corrupted' bit. Something happened somewhere relating to my handling of the storage chest, the torches, blocks, or whatever.

I sadly can only assume. I have to wait for the next happening to occur.

Oh, could you elaborate on that? :wat: If that was part of the blueprint, it should be covered by the undo command?

As you can see in the image I was able to add section 1 and Section 2 of the Titanic. I accidentally enlarged section 2, snapped it together to then realize I can hit 'undo' in the command prompt. I was able to get rid of the 'Section 2', just not 'Section 1' with the command prompt complaining it was invalid. I'm now having to manually sledgehammer the bow apart manually. It allowed me to get rid of 'Section 2', just not 'section 1'. You can see in the image I had to place the bow again next to the error to then form the actual Titanic.

Human error mixed with command error.

If we can have a pop out menu when we type 'Undo' we could select what we want to undo. That would be very helpful. I spent a good hour sledgehammering still needing to get rid of the bow.

Oh, that's not supposed to happen :wat: If that happens again, maybe you could send us a report? To do that, open the console (key ~ or `) and type "report", and maybe add a small note (like "inventory wiped"), then we can take a closer look at this issue :monocle:

If it does happen I'll try to make note of it. I'm assuming I press some key which may have signaled the game to purge the inventory. Is there a key for such a thing? The game was booting up, it hung a bit and I was trying to look around while trying to move. Other than that, I'm unsure. I did mention the chest swapping before joining back in. It's either one, or the either, or neither being completely something else.

I'm honestly glad and thankful I can finally explore this Titanic in RWU. I'm even thankful I can do the whole 'Undo' portion. I'm however bothered by the fact I can't get rid of the bow having to manually remove it by hand which is bothersome.

Then there is the case of the blueprint table not reading files properly in their folder.

Basically that Mtcottage should be in the main blueprints folder with gentry.

Mine contains my jukebox from Java when we had the jukebox plugin. New Folder for a ship I forgot I downloaded, Random is all sorts of blueprints, Skyrim is for Skyrim, and etc. The files have a habit of being reading read in the wrong folder.

This fits decently well in the Rising World Unity version. Still currently exploring it, adding doors. Shall decorate it here and there with how a few things are missing here and there.

Thanks again for this blueprint. It's awesome! I do hope you're still around so we can exploit the Unity version for a more detailed Titanic.:love:

Thanks to the blueprint update I grabbed all of this now playing with it in the Unity version. This is awesome and very faithful to the Skyrim version.

If you plan to make more, or add more, I'm all up for grabbing more and placing them in my worlds. I plan to use one of them as my base of operations later:thumbup:

    Good stuff.

    Just testing stuff out.

Having more issues with this update.

    1) Inventory wiped clean.

I may have interacted with the chest putting everything in it, exited the game. I then booted the game up next day finding my inventory is wiped while the chest has items in there. They may be character storage issues.

This image is taken after the fact (1:11 am vs 7:15 pm), though shows my issue. I'm unsure how to obtain starter tools. My storage chest seems to store everything. It may be character related or storage related.

    --------------

    2) Splint Issues:

Not really a bug; Noted as feedback by this person. Forwarding this to you.

    --------

Now to try to find my way around the inventory disappearing on me, or even replicating it.

Thanks for forwarding this! The collision detection for object placement is indeed a bit problematic in general atm (that's what's causing the issue with the canopy), but that's on our to-do list :)

About the world generation, we have plans for different settings regarding the island sizes, but unfortunately I can't say much about that yet :saint:

    You're welcome :)

Nice. Glad we caught that. I did notice something like that for the crafting update, must have slipped my memory many times.

Nice. Guess we'll see what you have planned when we get there.

    -------

Finally gotten around to playing with blueprints finding the necessary folder, the blueprints, and even coming across some Skyrim blueprints. I however have a new issue not figuring out how to ascend and lower blueprints into the terrain. I forgot how to do so, or it was changed.

Time to make a blueprint settlement with other people. Once I figure out how to do this I can then play around with the Titanic and Olympic blueprint someone made. I still need to make a video about that.

Hehe, well, I guess that will likely change after the world gen update, when more people probably start playing the game again ^^ Most people indeed play creative mode right now, but tbh, unfortunately the survival part hasn't much to offer yet... but that will definitely change sooner or later :)

Yup. Hopefully we'll start seeing more and more survival related bugs and glitches then. That's when I'm going to jump in with force. Though, happy I've found it (the bug) sooner than later.

That's true, though things still have to be tested. Even if I'm wording it sternly I'm actually quite loose in this. People will misunderstand me, just happy we can squash sooner than later.

Alright, time for round 2 of testing. I also have two things to forward to you from the Discord group

Food for thought and a bug/glitch.

There is indeed an issue with the crafting station detection :saint: It depends on which item you craft first - so sometimes it works, sometimes not... it's one of those weird bugs... I'm just baffled that we didn't run into that bug earlier, because it was already there since the crafting update :wat: Although I must admit that I was mostly playing in creative mode lately^^

Nevertheless, a hotfix for this is already on its way :) It should be available in 1-2 hours.

So I wasn't going crazy. I was about to lose my mind, no joke......

As for the "baffled that we didn't run into that bug earlier" bit, I was wanting to play more, was however waiting on blueprint update. Other people also had the chance and opportunity to do so also. It's been found now which makes me happy. I wonder how many more bugs/glitches are there I can easily stumble across.

People indeed do play in creative mode which is a problem in itself. We need to be able to test both ends. I don't blame you Red51, you're just one guy needing us to help with people hiding away in creative mode far too often.

Thanks for the hotfix. I'll wait till tomorrow to try again. I'm currently not in a best state right now so it's best I do more testing tomorrow. Thanks for the update though.

Oh, I can confirm that the radial menu doesn't work for the workbench :monocle: Unfortunately it's too late to include that into the upcoming hotfix (which is already compiling), but we'll fix that ASAP!

But in the meantime, you can just press F once alternatively :drunk:

At least you're aware of it so that's all that matters. :D

I could, if I had my state of mind. I'll try again tomorrow. I need to somehow juggle Pokemon, Flight Sim, and Rising World for tomorrow and the day after (depends on work). :drunk:

Thanks for the help and confirmation I'm not fully losing my mind.

(I was about to legit have a panic attack)

Alright, update finally downloaded, some political nutjobs kinda avoided........ Onto Rising World finding a little bit of an issue. Having issues crafting the workbench while having the Primitive Workbench both nearby, and in my inventory. I'm either doing something oblivious or there is a legit issue here. Trying to build the Blueprint table in a survival mode.

Maybe I'm doing something stupid losing my mind after dealing with too many political nutjobs lately.

That's a nice start to my session.

    -----

Edit: Is the primitive workbench's radial menu supposed to work in crafting mode? It does for picking it up, just not crafting.

This update also provides an export feature for blueprints, which allows you to export them to .obj files, so you can load them in an external model editor (like Blender). This is, however, still an experimental feature.

I have yet to try the update, downloading it as I post this. I'm however happy this update is finally out while also happy we have this '.obj' file support for our builds. I'm happy we can export them, 3D print them, export them into VRChat, or whatever we want to do. I bet you had 3D printing in mind, but yeah.

    Thanks!

I'll see what the nitty-gritty of this update is whenever the update finishes downloading. Good luck on the world update because that's when I'm going to join for real. Any bugs, issues, etc shall happen then. :nerd:

Not Azur Lane related, though something I wish I learned of sooner. So many obscure parts of history I simply wish to learn and admire.

Junker G38 | The Giant Airliner With Cabins In Its Wings:

I always admire German engineering because that is what they seem to be best at. They always know how to build what they build, even this giant bird which rivals that of the Russian bird. I'm glad I learned this, how Anime immortalized it, and how what we see as fantasy is actually reality.

People sure have a dim view seeing sci-fi/fantasy as impractical when 1900's till 1960's were full of that. People call Soviet designs ugly, yet they fill in voids others are afraid. When there is a will there is a way. I wish Germans were more prideful in their engineering. I mean, they are when it comes to BMW. I would love to see genuine pride and passion similar to Canada's aviation (or more globally known under 'hockey', not aviation), or Japan's anime. Actual cheerful pride.

I want to find more of these beauties. I also placed this here because I don't want ot make a new thread for every little thing........

Saw these on Twitter so I thought I'd share. Would balance out the posts I've been doing of people losing their minds doing stupid stuff in the world.

    - Door

    - For those times you have to flip a USB multiple times until you get it right

    (Japan has you covered)

Something relevant to all social outlets and Steam, etc. The world is going to end if you see a certain something........

    Yup.

    - The Book of Boba Fett:

    (Up to ep 3)

Surprisingly a good series, with a few oddities thanks to people over at Disney being dense. Jon Favreau is an awesome write, sure. He's however struggling as the only capable person able to keep the show afloat.

I love how we see Boba Fett stay silent, stay mysterious, fight, earn his Tusken Right of Passage as a warrior, among other parts. It's a great show, it however suffers from writer fatigue, rushing, and other elements. I admire how we learn more about the Tuskens, yet equally hate how Twitter morons are trying to draw parallels to real world issues when Star Wars is its own thing. You don't see American flags in Star Wars, let alone German ones. Let Star Wars be Star Wars.

Temuera Morrison had to occasionally (frequently) voice his dissatisfaction about how vocal Boba Fett is in the sequel by insisting he gained less lines.

Yeah. I agree. On top of Jon Favreau being stretched thin (Kathleen Kennedy butchering Star Wars), you then have Temuera Morrison speaking out against Boba Fett being far more vocal.

But because I say this I'm "wrong" and those reading this are "right", and yadda, yadda, yadda. I'm supposed to allegedly go around violating Gina Carano instead because that is what people have been taught to do by the media. It's perfectly correct to bully and harass people because that is what the media taught people. So much for traditional values of "respecting thy neighbor".

Lastly, you have people hating the shiny bikes on Tatooine because it goes against the nature of stuff Tatooine. It's like driving Ferrari vehicles in the North Pole. You just don't. Episode 3 was in reference to 'American Grafitti', an old American movie while episode 2 was in reference to 'Lawrence of Arabia'. Episode 2 showed how to do things right while episode 3 screws things up with lazy implementations. Then you have Twitter morons gaslighting Star Wars fans being actually going "WTF?!". A few examples below.

Episode 2: Lawrence of Arabia (done right)

Pyke Train fitting the Tatooine desert (Done right)

Pyke Transport fitting Tatooine's theme. (done right)

    ----------

American Grafiti (ep 3) - (Done wrong)

    Go, Go Power Rangers!
    (Go, Go Boba Rangers!)

    - American Grafitti

At least go for a more Sabine's Tie Fighter style.

Then the gaslighting attempts done by fake Star Wars fans.

Is Coruscant Tatooine? No? Point is moot. Bring those vehicles to Tatooine then you'll see the actual wear and tear as it deals with the harsh environment, sand, and other harsh elements. Give it a few years it'll look like trash.

And then another gaslighting attempt below. Pick a word, it's still valid..... Gaslighting, red herring, strawman, it's all valid here.........

One doesn't equate to the other. There is a reason why you don't see luxury cars in Cuba, you dense morons.

Bonus: Danny Trejo as a Rancor handler! I used to watch his movies as a kid on TV. Nice! He always made a good villain.

I'm not all that hyped for Episode 4 onward...... If you find this incoherently rambly then the fault is on you for pretending to misunderstanding me. People always do this to me and I find the fault on their end. People purposely refuse to see eye-to-eye where everything is allegedly my fault. The point is how Episode 1 & 2 were awesome, yet ep 3 dropped the ball by failing to theme things properly to a rustic Star Wars world.

I hate Twitter and its fake Star Wars fans. They ruin everything.

    - Pokemon - The Elephant in the Room (AAA vs Indie):

Ever since I kept getting burnt by AAA game companies like Electornic Art, Ubisoft, and such in the early 2000's I always sought out indie games. I always ended up researching a game before I purchased it by viewing reviews, youtubes, and user related feedback. Even same with Minecraft (before it was sold out and threw Notch under the SJW bus), among other games. Rising World, etc. It was between Rising World & Blockscape with Rising World winning the NPC decision for me. Nintendo tended to do fairly well as a company also, they however tend to have flaws themselves. So, what's the elephant in the room? Development practices of adding one small gimmick per version while fans made Pixelmon mod for Minecraft, etc. Numerous fan games, now probably lost in time thanks to legal actions (cease and desist actions).

When you find out (or rediscover) indie development can do so much more for a Pokemon game than Nintendo themselves. Pokemon Legends: Arceus is going to do what I've desired from Pokemon for a long time (an open world). The problem? It stalled the 'Pixelmon' mod for Minecraft to where others had to pick it up elsewhere. It's been noted it may not even be a proper true open world. It may be 'zoned' in segments, like pie pieces. I've enjoyed Pixelmon because the world was free, you could build and do as you desire. It was almost a perfect game. You can fly on your Pokemon, surf on them, and even ride on them. Sadly, Gamefreak and Nintendo simply can't capture the Pixelmon charm of having your own proper berry farm, nor the true freedom.

    - Video noting the voids in environment and density:

(The video is decent, except for the horrible plug of Forbes. Everything else seems legit).

I applaud the ambitious attempt for having this on a Switch. It'll be a stunted beast of a game on the Switch, I admit that. Even so, I'm highly eager to see how much they have learned and to make note of this "for science". It would however do FAR better being made specifically for PC (on Steam) where we could potentially even play it using Steam VR, Oculus headset VR devices, etc. I'm well aware Nintendo/Game Freak shall handle their Pokemon Legends fairly well, just pointing out indie developers could potentially push this game further with only two people. Sure, it may not have the story and other charms. There are things indie developers can do that Gamefreak just can't.

On a side note: I guess this is what you call "bootleg". (for the first embedded video)

Nintendo locked themselves into a corner. They've tried venturing out into mobile, they need to try Steam Deck and Steam itself. As great as Pokemon Legends may be, I feel it may not be the best it could be. I'm seeing Monster Hunter Rise on Steam (also a Steam Title), a platform Pokemon also needs to find itself on also to further grow as a game and IP. It feels painfully shackled, stunted, among other issues.

Just counter-balancing my threads with positivity. One was "negative" so the other has to be positive. Not going to make a new thread so I'll keep anything WW2 contained in this thread.

Lego MOC Focke-Wulf FW-190 Functions Showcase:

Youtube recommended this to me so I'm sharing. Found it amusing.

Azur Lane had another German event focusing on more vessels. More variety, more spotlighting and awareness.

Recent music from that event, one from bunch.

Was a good event making me more aware of the German side of things in WW2.
