It does, then you get "not authorized" when trying to save your world, or look into the world folder.

There was an option of where you could save your backup, something they removed. They made it harder for you to save your world that you have to go into the file directory by looking in the world folder by downloading all the world files one by one. It's tedious so you may want to go tell Nitrado to stop messing around. I had to tell them to stop screwing around at times before.
I'm tempted at '@'ing' them again on Twitter to get this resolved because they mostly ignore help tickets, yet you can try your luck like a lottery game. Also, keep an eye they don't remove the whitelist as they've done to me once.

- Rising World VR Edition:
I'm wondering if Red51 has any plans (loose or in solid form) of allowing Rising World to be played in VR mode. It doesn't have to be now, yet "whenever" type thing. Allow things to fall into place first before it feels natural to add in VR type functions. To move about as you would in VRChat (a free program on steam) to walk, run, fight, travel, mount, and etc. Even building. It may be a bit tricky, and I'd expect it to be tricky, yet I would also approve of the idea of having VR function for Rising World.
I've seen the occasional thread on both here & on steam desiring for VR chat, something I'm now on board of desiring. I'm currently looking into acquiring a VR set so I can play some of these steam games while hoping some of their game features drop into Rising World themselves. Card games, sword swinging, and such.....
It be far more worthwhile once we get into NPCs being able to interact, travel in vehicles, on horses, and etc. Once Rising World matures more I can see VR being used in places where a normal PC would struggle, such as VRChat. Gestures, dances, and such.....Imagine playing Rising World in a combat oriented manner with swords and rifles in both Medieval and modern era.
Once Star Wars mods come in you could even have lightsaber fights with a make-shift force push type actions, and etc. The possibilities with Rising World are vast

"Will the update be released this month?"
Look a page back. Red51 is insistent it'll be released in November so we have a few more days to go. He's cutting it close..........
-
As mentioned, that was Steam's VC Redlist update. It did that to the other games.
-
It appears we had a tease by Steam today where it updated the VC Redlist on every game, including Rising World.
Quotered51 [developer] 1 hour ago @Sir_Dale: Definitely not, this month there will be definitely a playable version
His comment to someone saying "RIP" that it was best replied to by Red51, not me. Well, Red51 is highly insistent that it'll be a November release, yet it's cutting so short. Here's to hoping that's trueJust a few more days to go in November. Would have paired nicely with Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp that released on the 21st.
-
I believe that's how Red51 wanted them to be, modular. But at the very least, I do hope we can build them up using the frame and other parts OUTSIDE of the crafting station for a bigger impact. Basically what Wurm Online/Unlimited does with their parts... That sort of modular.
---------
Also, I'm loving these two threads because it's hitting my sweet spot for Rising World
1) Bots
2) http://steamcommunity.com/app/…ns/0/1488866180593730795/
I miss those FTB Mining Turtles from a certain modpack (Minecraft), yet humans (NPCS) would do well taking over. The game itself sometimes gets insanely "scary" the more fatigued you are in real world that it be awesome to have NPC partners/companions to behave as a morale booster & shield you from any threats. Having NPCs at your side would put you at ease for both singleplayer AND multiplayer. No side excluded.
I hope we can assign NPCs to a bed and a chest so they can live in their own rooms. This is after rescuing them from a cage in both pirate and bandit camps. I hope you can rescue NPCs to then have them eventually go mining, roam areas, cut trees, cook for you, and etc. Have them take food from the nearby chests (or dedicated food storage areas) to keep them fed.....Even fight for you, plus even using the player's appearance editor to add templates, to attach external models (outside game entities into the game itself) onto them, and etc. There's been mention of assigning them to roam an area, and I agree with that.
Allow NPCs to also mount horses and other vehicles. Have them follow you around, and etc.
There's a lot I want to do with them. Seeing people post threads of them makes me insanely happy because it makes it more plausible in existing.
-
I guess this thread should just be locked up now that the hemp issue has been resolved. Maybe possibly for a long while now. The hemp guy has been banned for falsely advertising with little to no connections to Rising World itself. Also throwing lies & slander off-site to assume we've done him wrong, or similar.
Matter has been resolved by Red51, Yahgiggle, & gang.
-
From what Red51 mentioned it'll be a hybrid feature-bugfixes update. It'll be both a 'Player Foundation' plus a bug update fix for known bugs & glitches.
-
Seeing as how Red51 is trying to stay away from world generation related content for as long as possible (thanks to desert pyramids errors) you won't have to worry about any update relating to world generation stuff for quite a long while. If anything, our profiles may finally be enabled so we can actually create our character (or characters) to then bring from one world to the next. Take a look in your main settings on the official Rising World site + the profile button in the game.....
The following updates shall be more of an item related update, not world generation, that you have nothing to worry about. Well, unless Red51 himself added some new ores, early animal mounts, or whatever else.
You should be fine. No need to stress. At the very least it'll require a world conversion, as Mino stated.

While you guys spam, frustrating the hell out of me I'm going to show you the real reason of this thread again. Please look carefully.... Don't post for the sake of posting.
-----------
- Minecraft Won the 'updating oceans' side of things by adding sea life into the game, something Red51 could have done, yet was unable to. In a race of who's done it first, it was Minecraft by adding sea life first into the game. Not about apples and oranges, but a game of WHO DOES IT FIRST.
https://minecraft.net/en-us/ar…g-announced-minecon-earth
Minecraft wins this round! Or well, they shall if they release their biome + Mob B in public form before Red51 does.
Minecraft is now adding a new aquatic biome to the sea floor + fish roaming about + kelp + dolphins, among other various hidden goodies. Even underwater spears, and such. Now, if only Mojang could give scuba gears, something I can now add to the above listing.
Mob B was also voted in so Minecraft may also add in its first actual flying entity before Red51 can add birds into his game. It's now a race! An actual race down to the last turn to the finish line.
Who shall add in sea life to the aquatic side of things in both Rising World & Minecraft side of things. Who shall release their versions in public form?
-
Sorry, what? I posted this to be a game, not something to hit a nerve. Please don't.
-------
Edit:
That reaction was to the first bit, but I do understand where you're going after that. Thanks for your thoughts, yet shall now have ot re-read that on the flip side. It's that first line though......What.

- Boats (Revisited):
I just wanted to share some simple designs of boats that 'Shark' has posted that I grew a liking to them, wondering if Rising World shall have these simplistic varieties. These would fit a nice early and middle ground in the game (view attachment below). For the raft (right) I'd prefer logs connected together, yet it's on the right track of having storage containers, and such. For the left image I'd expect those to be late Medieval era unlocked boats, if there's an unlocking system for them. Canoe for late mid & late Medieval era, while the hovercraft (speed craft) should also be a thing for when we reach Modern era in this game.
--------
- Modern Era Tributes - World War 2 era naval vessel (Destroyer):
I'm requesting this only because developers refuse to make another proper open world surface warship game that it be neat if Red51 added at least "one" warship into the game. Rising World is a game that shall be near endless that you would be able to do nearly anything once we gain the actual true free-roamy "1 world ocean" map generation. Something you could command, maybe walk on, transport goods on them, while also having the ability to fire the turret in a semi-realistic manner. This would be one of those mid to late modern era goodies, something you'd really have to work towards. Just one simple warship so modding can take over the rest.
(I love how it proudly cruises by while firing its guns at a low interval.)
Not expecting this, yet it's another 'boat' video.
All I ask is for just one Destroyer to act as a template for modders. A Z type Destroyer from the German side, or whichever.
-------------
- Justifications For 'Destroyer':
To make Rising World more 'fun' I tried suggesting that pirates should have boats to harass players with on the high seas. They should randomly spawn in on water at a low chance, yet still a chance that a player should feel they need to defend themselves in both Medieval era and modern; Modern being the destroyer. It doesn't have to be a destroyer, it it's the most well known type of vessel to people. Once we gain the actual true '1 world ocean' I feel these destroyers shall need to fill in a role of being both a fast vessel, as well as a fast Cargo vessel. An armed vessel that can travel faster than merchant vessels, while being armed specifically for threats. Protecting yourselves from Pirate, raiders, and etc..... Other players....

OT but I find it amusing those on steam bagging minecraft using java who are totally unaware this game is java even though it says so straight out in the specs.
I don't like java myself (first a C programmer from '92 and then OO C++) but it has it's place. Cross platform is great as a Linux user since '97 and even though C is cross platform it needs a bit of fiddling around.
That's actually the reason why I went to look at the JMonkey engine because people enjoy treating Minecraft like a piece of crap by being anti-Minecraft. I went to see if Rising World is Java based, found that it is to then search to see if there's any naval related content. I dislike how people try to 'suck-up' by claiming Rising World is the very best while knocking Minecraft down to the ground in a traitorous manner. Rising World was inspired by Minecraft using it as a respectful stepping stone to reach higher
It's Mojang I hate, not Minecraft. There's a big difference there to make note of that I'm frustrated with Mojang with how "sloppy" they are. I can't code to save my life so I have to respect people wishing I had those skills. I tried learning yet my mind won't grasp it unless there's those rare blue moons. If I learn it I'll soon forget it as well.
-
Alright, I'll just use this thread to post about Minecraft seeing as it's not being used at all.
-----------
- Vanilla Minecraft:
I find it stupid Mojang/Jeb would tweak horses while ignoring implementing other features into the game. Of all the other features Mojang could have messed with they had to downgrade the horse model.....
https://twitter.com/H0MINIX/status/928348044076167168
Then laugh about it....Keeping it as it is.
https://twitter.com/jeb_/status/928545653239754753
They could have added storage containers to boats, gave use to ender dragon eggs, place pumpkin pie into the world like cake, and etc. It's just a wasted effort they could have spent on other features.
---------------
- Mob Voting:
I stumbled across Mojang finally doing something worthwhile, yet silly they have to vote on it. They could have just added all 4 entities, ones I've kept pushing for on both fronts, yet they have to narrow it down to one specific entity.
- Mob A - (Water):
https://twitter.com/Minecraft/status/930076496294760448A dangerous entity meant to pull you under when being careless island hopping to places. They would attack players, dragging them to drown in the depths with their tongue tentacles.
- Mob B - (Flying Night Creature):
https://twitter.com/Minecraft/status/930435305500442624It is attracted to insomnia attacking players who haven't slept in a few days. They're to fill in the void of taking advantage of the sky, something I've nudged Red51 to do to Rising World similar to how Jeb acknowledges there's no flying entities in the sky in Minecraft. Take advantage of the sky so players can be encourages to admire the scenery above them.
- Mob C - "The Hunger" (Eating/Ground):
https://twitter.com/Minecraft/status/930797685497622528Camouflages itself in the ground to eat mobs and items like a trap. It waits for food to come to it, eating it. It's aimed at enchantment while giving some unknown bonuses to the player in the right context.
- Mob D - "Major Blaze"
https://twitter.com/Minecraft/status/931160039649431554This is a bigger & badder Blaze mob that had shields to block you. It's a brutal chaotic master mob to challenge the adventurous.
----------
I'm both liking and hating where Minecraft is going, yet curious as to how it'll all fit together. Everything that I've suggested to Red51 seems to be partially noted by Mojang/Jeb that they're now tackling it, yet not fully because of voting purposes. I'm a bit frustrated they have to vote on this while not adding them all in at once.......I guess they want us to feel empowered by a false taste of choice, or it's more of a coding thing.
I prefer Mob B the most for how it'll take advantage of the air.....[Who shall win this game?] ..... I'm glad I'm seeing side polls of people desiring Mob B, and I hope it stays that way.
-
Those are even worse examples going in a completely different direction now. I've seen something where you can treat entites as RTS units, something that I'd find amusing if and when we gain drones in the game. I'm curious if you could command NPCs like RTS units in a game while having a light RPG element to it in the modern era of things. It's things like that.
And again, mainly focusing on naval elements.
-
Let's play a little game related to Rising World of "who shall do it first?" where we see features either added into Rising World, or another game of interest. The only condition is that both games are needing said features where those features are genuinely needed, not already there..... I'll strike out the loser to then bolden (maybe add colour) winner in the list.
- Horses - Rising World, 7 Days to Die, or Medieval Engineers - [Red51 seems to be getting these first; Medieval Engineers is in heavy need of mounts... Both games, actually yet RW is confirmed first. It's been desired to have boats in 7 Days to Die.]
- Actual lakes and oceans - Rising World or Medieval Engineers - [Rising World shall add in actual 1 world ocean with many island continents and islands; ME really needs something on the scale of a lake, or similar. It needs water.]
- Boats - Rising World, 7 Days to Die, or Medieval Engineers - [Rising World needs realistic boats for the water + a storage container for the cargo... ME needs water + boats. Achievement hunter were also crying out for boats that I'm adding it here with 7 Days to Die.]
- Birds/Flying Entities - Rising World or Minecraft - [We're to gain birds & hang gliders; Minecraft is voting on [this] entity attacking players with sleep insomnia after few days. Both games need to take advantage of the sky.]
- Water Creatures/Animals - Rising World or Minecraft - [Minecraft is voting on 4 creatures, one of which shall pull you deep under into the very depths.]
- Scuba Gear - Rising World or Minecraft - [With the addition of Minecraft's aquatic biome Minecraft should seek out actual scuba gear for swimming in vanilla, something I'm curious if Rising World shall have. The thought parallels with RW for seeking out future shipwrecks + ruins.]
You guys are free to vote (post wise), but do keep to the topic. Do not spam needlessly or I'll ask certain posts to be removed. Only mention what's on the list.
-
Maybe so, yet theres still a chance of dropping through into the void when the terrain doesn't render fast enough. I forgot who it was, maybe it was Daboiye, yet he had to lower his settings for when it rained that it was painfully laggy that he wished it was always sunny. That was a rare thing when it was always cloudy and rainy, and still is.
I guess I'll just not, yet just saying this in a "better safe than sorry" manner.
-
Only saying that to be safe because I've witnessed people dropping into the void at times. Weird water problem and such that it's better to be safe with higher computer specifications. I've seen servers strain on Minecraft side as well where it would rubber-band you horribly.......
Better safe than sorry.

If you want to play a few times a week then I'd pick 'Open Lan' to where you may have to use Hamachi. It's not recommended since I myself ended up becoming a target for Hamachi hacks to gain access to my computer. I had to uninstall it, trying to deactivate my account & etc. I'd recommend playing in the same home.
Then there's hosting it on your computer [Guide] to be able to host it on your computer with more control. You could even dedicate a specific computer in your household to such, but keep in mind computers have to be powerful enough to do this.
Then there's Rented servers to host it for you while being at the mercy of the server hosting. It's the easiest, yet also the most hassle when the site's GUI changes, and such. The layouts, and such.
If you're playing less then it's either Open Lan or a private server hosted on your machine. If it's long-term then try renting it, or dedicating it 24/7 on a specific household computer while having unlimited internet usage.
