    @ArcticuKitsu
I just learned that I don't have to keep eye contact. Once an animal starts to follow me, i can turn around and walk slowly and he will keep following as long as I don't get too far ahead. Still, a rope would be an awesome addition. i'll pester Red51 to make one even if it doesn't do much of anything (much like the rolling pin currently) ;-p

Nice, yup. I love how the animals speak to you. 'Yum yum!' heh.

Animals that you tamed should run at you at full speed. That, or pick up the chicken and walk it home.

Alright, I installed it so now to do some testing. I'm however hearing mention that we need a way to have them follow so if you can find an item that suits as a proxy to ropes & such then that be much welcomed. Have them follow you that way.

Edit: Oh, Rolling pin. Alright, I'll just try it out. Didn't fully read, but I'll try it.

Alright, wanting to do another server 'presentation' posting with more images to share since last image posting. Nitrado is an odd one, yet things seem to have settled back down again.

[0.8.2.4] Brisko Village - Fox Tower, Brisko Farm, Brisko Mini-Museum, & 'Canadian Tower'; Fort Ottawa:

A lot has been done since the last image posting that I feel it's time to share another. Ever since the map update we've been busy (in survival) trying to build as much as we could that I've built up my main HQ named 'Fox Tower' , Brisko Farm, and Brisko Mini-Museum, as well as a new 'Canadian Tower' aiming for Canada Day on July 1st for Canada's 150th birthday. Then there's the neat 'Fort Ottawa' being built by both Daboiye & Harv further south near Mountain Bowl.

    -------

    • Image 1, 2 & 3 - 'Fox Tower': A special tower of mine to be 9 floors high (Japanese fox spirits having 9 tails), while the rear portion shall be three floors. One being storage aiming to contain materials from across the near-endless map contained from all the land, 2nd being living quarters, and third being restaurant, while the roofing would be a garden (yet not counted as the forth;Disconnected). First three floors have been built of the 9 that I'm seeking to add more whenever possible. I enjoy the view I gain from the smelting room to see the proud mighty pyramid I saved, as well as further down the road to spot 'Brisko's Mini Museum'. The main tower is 9, while the rear portion shall be three floors (not counting the garden roof).
    • Image 4 & 5: - 'Brisko Farm'/View from Brisko Mini-Museum: I tried inspiring from a building I've seen in Euro Truck SImulator 2, yet didn't come out as I desired. It's still a fancy design, yet need to plan it properly to have it come out nicely. You can see the farm with the farm storage house, as well as the pyramid to the left. Growing all sorts of food there to be later consumed by more people & AI/NPCs. I love the view one gains from the second flooring, something I've also inspired from Ottawa's Tourist center before it was renovated with view of the Parliament. In Brisko's case it has the view of the mighty ancient pyramid saved from many patches. Brisko Mini-Museum contains images of Arcticu Flag, Bismarck from KanColle in a light reference to 'Brisko', as well as some Minecraft images of 'Arcticu City', and similar. Just various vague trivia.
    • Image 6: - 'Fort Ottawa': A castle-fort hybrid designed by both Harv & Daboiye while amusingly named after my city. Very massive with interior structures planned for it, a structure that's located between Brisko Village & Mountain Bowl.
    • Image 7: - 'Canadian Tower (WIP): A project i'm starting early in late May because of how long it shall take me to get it completed, or at least functional. Wanting to get the square (or rectangle) walls to surround the tower while also having a courtyard to relax in (with palm trees & resting area) while being able to have a decent distance between the wall & the tower. I only have two sides of the wall up because seeking to build the Canadian tower appropriately to then surround the tower with the other two sides. Shall be roughly 5-8 floors high to also celebrate Canada's 150th birthday. For the wall, I've even tried inspiring from European designs by multi-layering the wall to have two floors to function as both a barrier, as well as a livable structure. Not sure how proper I designed it to be such, yet we shall see how it'll end up when I'm done with it.
    • Image 8: - Graveling Brisko Roads: After all those posts of harassing Red51 to add a survival oriented gravel object I finally managed to do so for Brisko. Finally managing to do so on a more 'industrial' manner by filling in the roadways in Brisko village making it look fancy. Had to place the stone grinder/crusher in the 'Canadian Tower' courtyard until I find the appropriate floor number in Fox Tower, or a dedicated building for itself.

I'm quite proud of what I'm seeing on my server. All the stuff I'm managing to build, as well as what others are building. It's a shame Nitrado hiccuped horribly last week that I'm glad they managed to mend that after much venting & raging from me. Many angry tweets, 3-4 invaders on my server, yet thankfully no visible harm done to the server. I thank you guys for not griefing my server when my whitelist was turned to 'false', not back to 'true' after the server stability ticket.

I'm open to also adding more people, but I must know you. A good way for you to join my server is to have been 'moderated' by Foxfire in some way. If he trusts you, then I trust you also. Honor system & playing nice.

Sorry for my late response! Actually it looks like the item stack (apparently blocks?) was broken, or more precisely, contained some invalid data (so the game was unable to render it) =O Maybe something got messed up internally, unfortunately it's difficult to say what happened exactly... do you play in fullscreen mode, or is the "undecorated" borderless mode active instead? If you're using the regular fullscreen mode, there is a chance that something got messed up by tabbing out of the game (although I never saw such an issue caused by alt tabbing)... have you been able to reproduce this issue?

No worries, you're a busy guy doing various things.

Thankfully it hasn't happened ever since then that I'm speculating it may have occurred when my mouse double clicked so fast that it registered as quad'clicks (4 times) on two clicks. I've gained a new mouse since then so I can't replicate the issue with that faulty mouse. It may be that, or some combination of what you mentioned. I haven't seen anybody else have that issue that it seems to be a low priority fix. Nobody else made note of it that I guess it mended itself.

I play on fullscreen, and only on fullscreen. I do tab out a lot, yet the game tends to tantrum a lot when I do that (as mentioned in the above postings). When I stay tabbed out for too long it tends to crash on its own.

    1) You either find it in chests among the abandoned structures

    2) Find/grow cotton field to then harvest cotton > make a paper press (after mining some ores) > Make a loom > Make cloth> press the cloth into rags in paper press > add water when you have rags > Paper > Crafting bench to make map.

Nope. They just toggled the whitelist to 'false' to check on things without turning it back to 'true' after the ticket, that's all. I had no protection plugins running from the beginning, yet constantly considering it. I'm finding that NItrado is far too careless.

Yeah, that log I posted was spat out while Nitrado had slow Rising World hostings that they're really frustrating the hell out of me. Their servers crawled to a halt that I tabbed out, the game crashed, and spat that error out on me. I would also believe you if you said this was client side only because of me tabbing out, and Rising World hates it when I tab out. Rising World once cursed at me for not having my headphones plugged in because it had nowhere to output the sound that it crashed the log on me. I even understood what that log was saying about the sound.

I need a new reliable 'newbie friendly' hosting............

Guys, be careful with NItrado hosting. I'm now considering changing my hosting to a service more professional because Nitrado is far too careless. They allowed my server to lag to a crawl (near non-existence), and even opened up my server without any area protections on it. I had 4 people check out my world in an uninvited manner that I do not know the damages done to my world. My server was exposed on the server list that anybody could have happily griefed it. I'll have to stumble across them at random. I currently do not have the time right now to go scanning every inch of the world.

Nitrado exposed my server to possible griefers during a moment with the customer service ticket scan. They hopped in checking it was alright then jumped right back out without really implying much else. I'm thankful nobody griefed it during the 2-4 days of it being exposed. The staff needs to be more familiar with the games they're hosting that they left the whitelist checked on 'false' without putting it back onto 'true'. I have no other safety plugins.

Oh, I'm furious. That's two strikes against Nitrado...........I need another 'easy' hosting service, yet won't transfer until the 81 days are up. :cursing: I'm too busy to deal with these issues. Don't complicate matters on me. I don't have time to deal with people's incompetence, for I'm always busy with something.

Alright, going to post this with the weird inventory stack not being able to be diplicated. Nitrado seems to have hit a low point that me, Harv, & Daboiye just can't play on it. Nitrado hosting just being a pain that this error came out of it. The servers are suffering heavily (since Sunday), and even before that on Harv's end especially. Harv had these issues first, then more so now on my side that evreything just loads so painfully slowly. I tabbed out and got the error below.

Can we use screenshots to make posters? I have a screenshot from Fallout 4 I called Ada down. I'd like to make a poster out of that because it looks like I shot him or her, ( it's a robot ). :)
@Minotorious Your F1 info was so helpful. Thank you! :)

If you have screenshots from other games, and images from the real world, sure. Do whatever you want to do, even the things I 'hate'. It's your game so do enjoy it 8)

You'll however have to get cotton to turn to cloth (loom) put into the paper press, press it, bucket it, press it, grab it, then turn it into posters. You can make a good few stacks of paper within an hour.

I haven't build those items yet. I saw on utube someone put carrots and tomatoes into the market stall. It looked like it held an unlimited amount of them.

'Yeah, those are actually posters to make it look like food .That's people's answer to the whole thing, and I absolutely 100% hate it because it comes off as lazy to me. It also hits a cord with me (using posters) because when you backup the world you run the risk of having invisible posters. I'd much rather have the real thing, not something I view as 'lazy'.

Alright, thanks to another topic I felt it was 100% necessary to give this its own topic again after letting loose some thoughts there. The market stall we current have has to find some use soon (also in anticipation with player models update) that it should behave as a barrel chest storage for food items, and anything else to see. You should be able to 'AFK' barter securely by being able to place food items there and then having the stall ask for payment in return with items being desired in return. If you place melons you should be able to see them in the stall basket to then pay coal, iron ore, or whichever to then have it auto-barter for you. This is unless Red51 has a better idea via NPCs.

Market Stalls should indeed inspire from the food plate idea going on in Medieval Engineers where there are storage slots to display food to then being able to see that food displayed.

Bonus: Buckets should inspire from Stranded Deep bucket system that when it rains your bucket fills up with water without despawning in the world.

@ArcticuKitsu are those other games, or mods? I have been building in Fallout 4 and the sims 4. This kind of building is new to me. I love this kind of building.

Other games, yeah. Standed Deep & Medieval Engineers are two games to check out in how items are displayed outside of your inventory, and how I feel Rising World should handle its items. Buckets to capture water, to display food plate items on tables, and to have item racks, and etc. Even (again) to make use of market stalls by being able to place & store items onto there.

Yeah, Red51 should experiment with the market stall because it's just bland. That, and bookshelves. Red51 should treat the market stall as the food table item in Medieval Engineer so you can also barter without actually being there. Barter items for ores & resources, or whichever.

I hope we can make use of silver during or after the next major player update.

If you want a way to display food then you may want to wander over towards both 'Stranded Deep' for how water is gathered during raining, as well as 'Medieval Engineers' with how food can be displayed on furniture by placing items into slots for it to appear. I would however love free-form display, yet this would be an interesting way to begin with such. The 'Market stand' needs to be made use of by placing food objects into them.

Yeah, would love plates and such to make and make use of.

Well, I was trying to figure out how to divide a stack while playing with a stack in a giant crate I have at my 'Fox Tower' in the desert. Just reading what I noted on the Steam forums in the suggestions subforum of item stack division that I tried left clicking, right clicking, holding control, shift, and all that when my stack apparently was sent to my inventory (so I assume) where it then just outright vanished. I logged off my server & came in that it may have been on the floor, or it may have simply vanished. I have Harv as my witness, yet I think that's also gone. I'm sure I made note of it somewhere in the logs, yet too exhausted right now to do 'paperwork' type tasks.

I think it was before the final update, or something....Hard to tell now. It however seems to be a current rare issue because of that quote......I have to have it happen again then I can tell you if it's still around.

I see I'm not the only one having this issue so I'm going to make note that there's this bug that you tend to lose item stacks that you were to pick up. I've lost a stack of paper when trying to figure out how to split it, yet it just outright disappeared. It didn't appear invisible in any empty slots in either the crate or inventory. It just outright vanished. I'm thankful that a stack of paper is easy to make that it wasn't that much of a loss, yet it's something to track down and squash.

This happened when it was transitioning from the crate to my inventory. Maybe it fell on the floor when I logged out and back into my world......WHo knows if it's an MP issue, yet it seems to be a normal issue.

Something weird happened to picking up stacks and dropping single items in place. I keep losing the stack Im holding

That person also had that issue, and is why I'm posting because it confirms my issue.

When we get horses, camels, trains, boats and possibly airships we'll really need to bump that 10,000x10,000 to a high 300,000+ range so the place won't feel cramped. We'll be having so much fun making big spaces feeling cramped with our technological transportation advancements, as I have in Minecraft. :whistling:

Yeah, what Fox said. I wanted to add that it's recommended to stay within 10,000x10,000 radius. I do hope Red51 tries to tackle this after the major player updates to add the main update + the horses so we can then explore further. It's infinite, yet not really with the bugs and glitches that'll happen that Fox mentioned. I'm glad Red51 fixed the terrain positioning, yet bothered by the range you can build in. I hope it's looked at after the player updates.

Yeah currently there is no real crouching in the game This will change once we have our new player models, although I can't say for sure if the first release of the character models will already contain a real crouching feature (since this needs some fine tuning, so maybe it becomes available shortly afterwars)

Just a small inch of a crouch, yeah. I bet all the kneeling and stuff shall be later, yup. Awesome! That makes both me and others happy.

Also, me and Harv have this desire (as well as Zork) to be able to export the map into a .png image file. Is that a possibility? Even in a modding sense? If it stalls/delays the player model update then could nudge someone via modding to do it. Let them know how then someone can poke around with it.
