Loving this idea. I heard mention that Red51 wanted to change the AI to the animals, and I would strongly nudge Red51 to do so, when appropriately able to. Bears need to be tweaked to attack when you have food, or when you're in their territory for a set time. The chance for attacks would rise, unless you had something like a noise maker to scare them off. Similar with the moose that the longer you'd stay in their territory the more hostile & territorial they'd become.

There has been mention of animals moving in packs'/herds that you would be able to see them moving about as such.

It would also be neat if they would indeed learn your habits, as well as be curious about the food you grow. Maybe even protecting your farm at the cost of gaining a share, if possible.

I would love to see domesticated animals be in their wild form 100% that you would have to gradually breed them into their domestic form. I'd love to have a wolf as a pet, & a fox. That, and the ability for them to scout things for you, warn you of threats, as well as even pointing out food sources & such for you. Maybe even bringing you various items of interest. Random stuff.

Yeah, I'm loving where you're going with this and sure to see some of this in Red51's updates. Not sure how, or how much, just that some of this is to be expected :)

Oh, that's a fun twist to how fun this game is. It's brutally scary when you're not properly equipped, yet it's Minecraft/Rising World fun! I finally bit the bullet to play it in single player mode while finding the character creation system neat. Could use much more work, yet it's neat (hair styles, facial preset variety, among other things). Wish you could go back to create more characters properly (Tried, yet gave me funny weird errors I couldn't make sense of) while actually enjoying how each character would specialize in something. It would be awesome if Red51 could give us a similar system with each character in Rising World specializing in something the more they played while allowing us to save characters as cards to play. I guess MMO style, yet only skills would carry over. Nothing else. Not tech tree style, but with how much you do things which would save. The more you cut trees, go mining, make food & etc the better your skills. Anything skill tree is idiotic.

I love how 7D2D because the more I would dig dirt, cut trees, run around, among other things would raise my effectiveness in that field. Love how you have to scavenge. I even got a miner's helmet from a zombie, and love how zombies reward you for how much crap they give you. It's worth going out to kill them, if short on resources. It's great to stockpile.

I however strongly desire access to proper swords. Medieval, fantasy, or even custom made (non-apocalypse) type. Seeing as how I'm clubbing zombies with a club I'd love to have a sword, as well as maybe a good spear, to attack those bastards. I guess nobody here is familiar with my foxy character (maybe Red & Zork, yet still maybe vague in thought) that I would love to have the ability for at least one NPC to follow me around while also wielding the sword. I'd love to have my female foxy anime character weild a sword to slice & dice the enemy as I also do so. Guns can only get you so far slicing of a zombies head would be glorious. Both in Rising World & in 7D2D I 100% want NPC followers, even customizable in the way you can customize yourself.

I managed to "survive" to day 4, and now curious as to when I'll play again. Trying to now dig a hole so I can trap zombies in there. Those bastards. And yes, I died a few times being greedy. I even ran to an air drop. I'm strongly wishing for the ability to just have an NPC partner because getting someone to play is a big chore that NPCs tend to win.

What I had in mind was more Skryim & Grand Theft Auto Vice City/GTA 5 type taxi.

Depending on how you decorated & placed the NPC you could use various "triggered" decorational taxi signs to gain the attention of the NPC to take you places on both the beaten & unbeaten path. These signs could be used to interact with NPCs to take you places, yet if not there then that means another player took them. (It be amusing if NPCs did also to tend to their various tasks). The beaten path being what you specified, as with 'unbeaten' being more rough & untamed side of the map. Players would set a marker, and maybe a waypoint to help the NPCs have a safer pathway to the destination.

Everything in real time because I find teleporting cheating, unless Star Trek & Starbound style. We're however not going into space, thus teleporting is viewed as moronic to me.

    --------

    - Survival: After you've rescued an NPC from the wild you could have the ability to assign a task to him/her that one would fall under 'taxi'. Their pay would be through food, water, & morale. This would be by using horses, cars, & any vehicle which isn't tied to a rails. You would then set up waypoints for them to follow that they'd follow it, even to the ends of the earth. I guess they'd operate more like buses, yet their role would be to take you to "pre-determined" locations that you chose. Once on the other end they'd have to find a way back. It's a one way trip that you might even have to mention how they'll have to get back. 1 way, or a two-way. Maybe even going all these odd routes until they get back to their destination.

[Bonus]: A secondary option could be a pop-up map with you making a waypoint for the NPC to follow. If you even successfully barter at the destination you could make them wait for you for a certain amount of time before heading back. They're still "lively" after all.

    - Admin/Creative: Seeing as how we also have different play-styles in both a legit & pampered/lazy style (don't read this as combined, yet seperate) this would allow servers to set up specualized immersive taxi routes without going to the trouble of waiting to recruit from the wilds. They would have the NPCs already placed, yet have them travel specific routes, even enabling if they can travel to various places freely or not. Traveling by horse, camel, boats, buses, cars, trucks. Anything that isn't stuck on rails.

(Side-Note: When going modern era with vehicles the AI would also have to be made aware of fuel stops. You might have to build a few rest-stops for them to consider so they could pull in, fuel, and make their way back on their journey. All depends on how you code them, yet could work the way it does in 'American Truck SImulator', or even 'Euro Truck Sim 2' (same thing). Make sure to keep the fuel & ethanol handy at all times. Even electric powered vehicles.)

    -------------

Flying pigs is something I'd laugh at if we set it up using what I mentioned. I'd even be amused if we had flying Dragon mounts, as well as 'fantasy' flying giant leaves for when we gain that highly rare fantasy biome. I can imagine bus routes, trains, and even boats going on waypoints, and even set up on schedules while possibly even keeping the chunks they're in loaded so they can even do what they've been assigned to do.

I can imagine trains to follow specific tracks via map management, as well as waypoints set. Even traveling crazy amounts of distances. Even similar with buses, when we gain them. Even going as back to "primitive" horse-drawn passenger/cargo wagons.

I'm just going with what Red51 mentioned & teased/hinted as in ways not to overhype the way No Man's Sky was. He doesn't want to "over promise" that we'll simply get things when they're ready. 2 years was his vague guess, and that's what I''m going with, if I have to give any time frame to water related stuff.

Way in the future. Something like 1 or 2 years once every basic thing has been added we'll see dynamic water, flowing, and etc. We need the basic features first.

I guess I should keep researching this game because I really do want to play it, but only if I can play with friends, net buddies, or regulars. Seeing awesome things being added into A15 that maybe I should wait for when that comes along so I/we can have fun in there. So many nice features that it's making me see how Rising World can make note of them.

Similar to Rising World, 7 Days to Die just proving that having NPC partners would be awesome. I guess there's traders, yet that's all I'm seeing. Be sweet to rescue someone to join you, maybe even have some respawn buff like the player.

I don't know. I want to play the game, yet need to find a proper foothold to tackle this game. I'd join you zfoxfire, yet you'd need to host a server by finding a time to make it work, and me to find time inbetween work. Guess I'll just go settle into Starbound again hoping my save file doesn't erase again, yet it was a much needed character profile reset :) Seeing nice features in 7D2D, even planned, that it's sweet.

Red51 needs to check out the Mesa cave dwellings to make note of for his own version and inspiration.

    ---------------

14:16 is the interest point with Mesa Cave Dwellings:

Also, 9:45 for settlement plans to also inspire Red51 in how to tackle things. If we wants to, for NPC villages & such.

I really do need to look into this deeply for both science & for enjoyment. I really do want to play this, yet it would also be sweet if I could get some buddies to play this with. Seems like a type of game you'd need a group of friends for, yet a server where people stay on the same page while not going too far from one another. I'm seeing nice features that were made note of which could carry back into Rising World.

Thanks to Roosterteeth's Let's Play channel I'm highly curious, yet may give this a go after my Starbound fun. Damn.

Damn, I now have to wait a few hours to come back to watch that video in the first post.

I wanted to give this game a chance, and even loved where it's going, yet it's even depressing & disappointing me also. I tried giving it a chance, even defending it, yet it failed me. I can't run the game with the '(0xc000007b)' error. I tried all the drivers update, and everything it suggested, yet nothing. The game itself needs to scan for this stuff now that I'm stuck outside looking in seeing all the flaws mentioned in people's let's plays & such.

The problem with the game being both the studio's fault and the loud gamers. Both sides are at fault, one for lying & the other for over-hyping it to the point we'd reach this point. It's amazing how people only make note of what I made note of after damage has been done, yet I'm always the ignorant one around here. ||

But yeah, I still have the game in hopes I can at least play test it, yet for $60 Canadian I can't play it, nor can I experience base building stuff they have planned. Wanting to play it, yet there's just so much crap that I'm having more fun playing Starbound, a game which goes far deeper than No man's Sky while doing the same thing. Even Empyrion is far superior to No Man's Sky. Both Starbound & Empyrion.

Imagine our potato head characters being the new hostile entities in some dungeon somewhere. Some random island with a dungeon as a future easteregg making note of the past.

    -------------

With where Rising World wants to head is something that someone brought up in '7 Days to Die' before. The whole thing about climate diseases, effects, and how you'll have to wear appropriate clothing for various biomes and such. Having to worry about colds, hypothermia, heat stroke, and all that lovely jazz. Whatever detailing Red51 wants to add, it'll be added nicely into the game.

The fun began much earlier, yet it's notable at around 37 min mark, more so with how a cool river cools you off at around the 38:20 mark when Michael jumped into a river to cool off in '7DtD' game. Imagine doing the same thing in Rising World.

I can also bring in Starbound with how you have to stay warm in colder biomes, yet haven't experienced much more on that front. What I do want to mention is the function of smoking, drying, and fridging your food to keep it from spoiling. Once Rising World has food spoilage it would be important to preserve them, as well as being able to fridge them. Being able to fridge them, store them in a cold basement, and such would be awesome.

Curious how many months into the game's updates this shall be. Sometimes in the 2017 mark? Sometimes after clothing just in a basic function to make use of the clothing? It does make me curious on both climate & food spoilage side of things.

Same to you, ArcaneDesmond! Hope we all have an awesome day because we're not tearing one another apart that karma should dictate that we should have awesome days ahead :)

Horses & having to saddle them is what I'm looking forward to the most from the upcoming update, yet having to wait on dungeons is actually frustrating. I know what Red51 is doing (loosely, yet informed enough that everything takes time) that waiting on this & horses to come out is still painful. I truly want to tame horses, be able to mount them, ride them around, as well as be able to "mass produce" gravel so horses can travel along them. Be awesome having those various armour types (even looted from dungeons) proudly displayed on horses, displays and such.

I'm just big on the NPC & I blame Minecraft's 'Little Maids Mod' with how you have little maids cooking & fighting for you. Same with Skyrim, Guild Wars, Timber & Stone, and anything with NPCs doing things for you. Hoping we'd be able to "rescue" them from the wilderness, have them be customizable, tend to small tedious tasks, and such. Even NPC Trader related tasks on the survival side of things. This one can get so deep that I'm a bit fearful Red51 shall not dip too deeply into this that a mod would have to do everything.

Modding is something I'm seeing being Rising World's biggest selling points. Waiting on when this game can support all sort of modding types that it be interesting seeing mods from other games just find itself in this game, even Skyrim types, Minecraft types, and whatever else. I'm personally wishing for a Star Wars mod, Pokemon mod, and then ways to get the Japanese interested into making ANime mods for Rising World. It should be glorious if everybody goes all out into modding for this game, once able.

Lastly, boats. I harassed Red51 to add in boats, and can't wait for them to come out around the time player models, animations, & customizations are released. Having them sail between two linked 1000x1000 oceans would be amusing, as well as being able to see the landscape gradually (or majorly) shift into something more infinite and open. Waiting on power tools, proper way to fill open spaces with water, as well as boats themselves. I really want Red51 to be intelligent with boats that one such would be papyrus, while other could be wooden & etc. We'll have to see, yet he can take lessons from 'Stranded Deep'. Survival games seem to fail with boats that he could even look at 'Grand Theft Auto 5' for boat types.

But yeah, this is a beast of a game that I patience is indeed needed to make everything possible. I agree that we need more survival, as well as the horses, NPC, & boating fun. Even mods. I guess I'm having my expectations fly high so it's a struggle keeping it grounded, more so with lessons learned from 'No Man's Sky's' flop & betrayal.

    ------------------

I however do want to wish that the community wasn't triggered-paranoid about zombies that they would try and figure out a way to make them work. If not, then you can blindly shove them onto the side. If you can't figure out ways to make them "realistically" function in the game then push it into a mod, or something. The comments about "no zombies!" is hilarity & comical when you go back & read them in & out of context. It's hilarious.

P1: "Man, I wish we had the likes of Zombies, Dragons, & etc. Just something to attack"
    P2: "NO! NO ZOMBIES!"
    P3: "Yopu're insane! No zombies! They're everywhere!"
P4: "NO NO! NO! No zombies! *throws a fit!"
    P5-P10 & etc..........
Me: "*facepalms & laughs* Look, look what you did. You triggered them like a SJW. Figure out a way to co-exist. The reaction is hilarious XD"

The reaction is as predictable as stepping in a bear trap. For example, you can have them be similar to bandit camps where they occupy some "empty" area of a desert, or something. Something for that "Mad Max" memento, or nudge, or something. Or maybe for that Egyptian fun, yet still realistic. As realistic & serious as a game is, it still needs to be fun and entertaining. When a game becomes too serious you tend to have people say "Screw this! I'm out!" so it doesn't hurt to have something fun in it :)

Game is actually far superior to Minecraft, and you'll see this far more clearly as each update is added. Game is actually doing fairly well that you can see various points it 1-ups Minecraft, even showing how things should be done. Basically smelting, food, mining, building, among various others. Even posters, something Minecraft wouldn't allow you to do, yet had planned. I guess one would simply have to see this game finally exiting its eclipse phase for one to truly note the differences between this & MInecraft, more so when the game [RW] needing to be further fleshed out.

As for updates, it's also doing fairly well. Having a major update every few months, then a mini-update in between those every month is sweet when considering other options. Even on itself the updates are well worth any wait. This having the most support & developer awareness out of any game that it also natural to be bias when praising this game all around, updates, and all sorts of stuff around it. Mojang just doesn't give a crap while bandaid fixing everything, yet Red51 cares a hell of a lot about his updates. Sure, they take forever, but that's probably because of German stereotypes of perfection, something we would probably welcome in a crappy gaming industry focused more on greed than passion. That, and we truly get what we want, desire, and need that it again supports why it's worth any wait.

Desires for RW? Basically what is on the feature page, and things Minecraft did. On a more personal level I'm hoping for customizable horse mounts, recruitable NPCs (this digging in fairly deeply), customizable NPCs, "bodyguard" npcs, & boats. Anything else seems trivial & a bonus feature if I haven't recalled it again for this post. I did note boats to take advantage of water, something past games failed to do. Hoping Red51 shall take advantage of boats.

But yeah, I love the update pacing for Rising World, yet can't deny I want the updates to come out so I can venture into dungeons and to customize my own character. Wanting to ride around on horseback to travel further, quicker, while having both my friend (Nas' aka Nighthawk) and some NPCs of mine to follow behind. I'm curious to find out if Red51 shall be able (willing) to satisfy my customizable & recruitable NPC desire needs via the player & customization patch onward.

(Post a mix-mash of various thoughts both on & off topic)

Well, I'd be all for droppers, hoppers, and the like. I guess you'd need pipes also for them but then that would just be funkier than Minecraft. I'd welcome it for the more industrial type player. I'd actually make use of it, if it stops me from idling.

Also, not to ruin or hijack your thread, just that your idea of having stuff transfer to furnaces made me think back to Minecraft's 'Little maids mod' where you can just have NPCs tend to your smelting needs. Basically give them your ores, they'll keep watch over it, tend to the coal, and such so you don't have to. I'm finding myself wasting precious time I could have done other stuff that having NPcs would keep things 'efficent'

Balance? Give the NPCs morale, hunger, thirst, & a sleep meter to keep in check so they could tend to those first as their first priority, then your smelting needs. Their meters would vary between NPC to NPC with some being more efficient than others in your standard basic RPG manner. They would need to be well "paid" by given basic living needs to then tend to your smelting needs. Can be expanded further. I find having NPCs more efficient than hoppers & droppers, yet I'd welcome the hopper/dropper objects. Not opposed to it. Played too much Minecraft making me view more immersive & efficient ways around this that it's also spilling over into Rising World.

Try your best to keep focused (Around 5 to 5:30 mark is the point relevant to this thought) to see where I'm going with this. I also admit this mod is what made me also desire NPCs in this game, yet it's also Skyrim's "fault" (in a good way) & anime with how I'm being spoiled as a gamer. All in good fun.

Also, if there's any fear of Anime of any kind should take a peak at Kingdoms & 'Timber & Stone' for a more "western" viewpoint. I'm sure Red51, if we wanted to add in functioning survival NPCs, could make them appear & look awesome.

I doubt people would want to go into the nitty gritty of combat where DPS is involved. Maybe you would, and that's where mods would take things over. I personally see Rising World going down the Minecraft route (even modded) where it's only health bars & the damages you make on the mobs through tiered weapons, nothing more. And yeah, skills & trees have been discussed, yet I believe it's just simple stuff.

As for raids, I guess you could see such in the game in the dungeons manner. Depending on how dangerous dungeons get you could probably form groups to dungeon crawling, something similar to Skyrim stuff.

Also, yeah. What zfoxfire mentioned about weaponry. PVP is going to get a nice nudge with the planned updates that it'll allow people to have fun with ranged weaponry, building forts, and such. Basically what you now have in Minecraft, yet shall mature & evolve with time when people find new ways to push the features. PVP is currently dead currently that someone tried to even guilt trip people that PVP is griefing & that people shouldn't be idiots having "chivalry" styled PVP. The silly kid went on & on about how people are weaklings & how PVP is also griefing, how you should steal from chests, destroy people's properties, and etc, etc. Basically a bored kid trying to justify griefing, tainting the meaning of PVP, and showing that Rising World needs the update, yet we can all be patient. This all ties in with Zork saying that you can only beat people with 'morning stars' right now.

I could see it being neat how you can build guild halls & such, even using "guild" related objects to give meaning to various structures & such. Keep in mind that this is Rising World, not Minecraft, so instead of command blocks & such, we should use various items, trophies, wall scrolls, and such to focus on, & to give commands to the world around it. Think of a wall scroll (any civilization) as something that enable a guild hall that both players & NPCs would respect. Something you could fight & etc.

    @diegomarino80gongo

I guess we're just highly eager & a bit on edge waiting for the next update. That, and some muscles needing to be flexed....Just your standard reactions in gaming communities with the typical cycle of:

    1) Release
    2) Enjoy the content
    3) Wait for next update
    4) Constantly poke & prod where the update is
    5) Go back to 1 after a week or so after waiting

Once you catch wind of a new update you REAALLY want it. You really, REALLY want it that it messed up your POV & patience in the update you're in that you want to keep your client up to date to the latest that you stop building, or at least prep for the next update in some way. That's how we become 'on edge', and such. We have intel on dungeons & player models, and we REALLY want it, yet patience can only go so far, as well as Red51's coding abilities. He's only human. It's a vicious cycle, that one.

    Hmm....

Well, I'm glad you put that all on the table, yet I find it a bit odd to do so. I am however finding it nice and informative on that formal level that I can see where you're coming from, your experiences, and such, as well as zfoxfire mentioning how I'm frustrated by being crapped on in various other gaming forums that I feel the most at peace on this forum. I still however find it frustrating when I still stumble across "stupid people" (excluding you & those on here) that fail to take into account that content needs to be made, not forced out. Just as you said, yet not really, that people "assume" that content can be made on a whim that everything is apparently crafted with magic. Something they see on World of Warcraft, or something similar.

Feel bad that you had to suffer that much, yet that being worded feels misplaced, yet shall take it in formal understanding. I can't code, and I respect those that can, so I shall also respect you formally on that level. Same with Red51, as well as zfoxfire whom can code in in various manners.

As for the "soon" for Rising World I see via the announcement bubbles on the forums. Those, and steam updates are enough for me, and I know we'll get some monthly update. Seeing the API Plugin was enough for a monthly update that I can wait a tiny bit longer for Dungeons knowing that Red51 is busy cracking is rear end trying to get these updates out to us. More so with me pushing him, as well as others, yet still respecting him with what he has to deal with. From what I'm used to dealing with game developers & modders that this is actually something done through passion that it's even amazing what we're getting from Red51, let alone those at SCS Software that I can't help but be "a fanboy", as I was exampled many times. I"m however patiently waiting & itching to play with the dungeon updates, as well as the player animations & models. Should be in the next month or so, which is all fine.

Something you forgot to mention, or probably haven't experienced/overlooked (maybe via illness you noted) is how much stress people can give you. Something more than coding that you just hide away from all that I tend to bring up through retail experience, yet also seeing on gaming forums, and the locked threads Red51 has to experience in a larger area that he also had to close all those hostile threads. It's even a little miracle we're even getting Rising World updates in the quality we're getting. I have respect for Red51 having to deal with my fair share, and I guess you have your own respect in some manner also through experience. Same with SCS Software with Euro Truck SIm 2 & American Truck Sim 2 with how they carefully put out content on their end. People harassing them worse than parents with whining tantruming kids in swarms. On the other side I'm not proud that I was cameo'd in a video in a dark light in one of Vortac's videos that it's demoralizing, yet shaking that off as trivial now because it's just one out of the many videos to be made in Rising World within the community. The good with the bad, and with more Rising World fun to be had.

I guess I really am not in a good light because I have my own share of stupid people to deal with, retail work, some games not working (refusing to run;less games to play), finding myself in arguments with people (yet mended most of them; On various gaming forums), & just various issues popping in & out. Not really an excuse, yet I guess I can also mention how Japanese games such as KanColle can sap you of your mental energy by how brutal & punishing they can be [The RNG is horrid that you have to "thread the needle" constantly] while playing the latest event going on during summer that I'm not really 100% mentally. Both mentally & physically from various sceneries. It all builds up, and I admit I'm not 100% when I'm constantly finding myself in some negative situation. I guess it's not as yours over time, yet that's my crap on the table.

[Also been said I've been looking for a pity party, yet that's the last thing I want. I guess the same would go for you as that would seem insulting. I guess we're just frustrated with the way things are going. Not looking for any in this post, I say as someone brought that up in another community.]

    Quote

"Soon! How soon is soon? And what "soon" means in this context is as clear as mud."

Hold your horses. Soon is when Red51 can get all the update features working because every time they release it's either floating ores, worlds not allowing terrain generation, or even some meshing issue somewhere. The less of these issues, the better. Don't want our worlds breaking, even if we're not supposed to get attached to them.

Go read the comments on SCS Software's blog about both 'American Truck Sim', as well as 'European Truck Sim 2' with how impatient people are while not knowing how official game making works. Have to have the game polished up so much that it wouldn't hurt anybody, and bugs/glitches still pass through the filter.

Go look at Minecraft, Terraria, Starbound, American Truck SImulator, Euro Truck SImulator, Rimworld, & even No Man's Sky for how updates are announced, then released when they're ready. You need to make all that content, code it, polish it, and then release it after everything fits the standards set. Red51 is only one, and he has two more working on this site/forum & another on music. Even freelancers for character animation stuff. He has a lot more to deal with than the other games I mentioned so I'm cutting him some slack, yet I'm no saint either with how I kept forcing his hand on features. I do feel guilty, yet at same time you can't create something out of nothing. It needs to be made for us to enjoy, yet those here & on SCS Software's blog just don't understand that.

Seriously. Go take a peak at SCS Software's blog to read the comments to show you how impatient people are, even getting all high & mighty when you don't give them what they want, or tell them what they want to hear. I got moderated once for trying to defend SCS Sofware. People are stupidly impatient.

I have KanColle, I have No Man's Sky, and I have Rising World to play. It's all fun, whenever I do have time to play. I can wait.

I guess I was just "in the zone" last night tuned into those tracks, yet take them as loose 2 cents, or whatever. But yeah....Now that I'm hearing it again it does seem different, yet change is also different so it's really hard to tell. Themed or similar simply becomes the new norm when something new is added, and people hate how their old vibe gets changed for a new feeling vibe. Gameplay experiences always changes & adapts to new features.

Shall have to see what Miiware is going on about a bit later. I'll get to your post eventually.

Well, maybe I'm bringing in something foreign, yet Rising Word is a game already breaking boundaries that I'm wondering if there'll even be neutral happy-evil type music. Nothing happy, nothing angry, or dark....Just somewhat neutrally moody, if that makes sense.

BGM music from an anime web game possibly been used in the "world map" before entering in a battle (think old retro RPG world maps if it helps any)

    And this

(Something I just found after posting this post. Has that interesting mood to it.)

That music there makes me imagine some abandoned ruin or village that we're seeing what's left after something happened. Maybe some monument, shipwreck, or something along those lines, if there's any of those sort. What we've been teased on Steam & form dungeon update seems to be leading to both the traditional, as well as something more "normal".

Was ready to tear someone apart for not being patient, yet this works.

I'm disappointed I couldn't play during my three days off straight (something that is rare), yet I guess dungeons are just that complex now. Maybe what we even suggested is being added into the game so that's pushing it back further. Well, guess I'll be playing it next week, the week after, or whatever. Thing is, I now have a KanColle event coming up so I guess Red51 can push it back further for 2-3 weeks while making sure to sneak some player animations & customization teasers now because I'll have no time to play Rising World. Up another dungeon teaser with information, and such :whistling:

    /me seriously, yet jokingly half-jokes.

I guess you could use Fallout 4 as an example/template, if it helps any, to picture the whole thing. I guess I'd make it lean more towards what is actually a point-of-interest/landmark/checkpoint, or somethign that's now special in 'No Man's Sky' on planets. Basically something you discover, explore, and now can take over, possibly hire NPCs, and such. Even ask them to reverse engineer or take command if its modern, or whatever. Loving your further suggestions of having NPCs gradually living near them as time goes on, as well as being able to use various forms of communication. That be quite sweet. Seeing both horses & vehicles coming & going as time passes, even if it's gimmicky.

Also, to insert some Anime fun I want to add in something fun which ties in with a music thread in another sub-forum, yet is its own thing that it fits more here. Basically a brainstorming percentage of finding very rare alien structures & materials on your world, just as you would with the plausible 'fantasy'' biome Red51 felt the need to play around with. Basically some structure which could be used to inform you of something, reward you, buff you, provide you something, or similar.

For me, and in an anime manner, I'd lean more towards 'Macross Delta' with the latest episode being ep 18 & 19 with how music is special. When you would find this relic it would be special appearing, unique, and even possibly resonate musical elements, maybe even singing (if Red51 can stomach that budget).

Not sure if it'll make sense to anybody, as it's also foreign to me, yet relics we find could even be musical entertainment type devices, standard holograms, or even just informative devices. If you're lost with Anime then simply replace anime with 'Star Trek' and you should be just as close to anything fun. That, or just look at Starbound or No Man's Sky for some fun. In this Macross Delta anime music is used as both a medical element, as well as a weapon because of its mental effects. Music/singing is like a drug related thing. In 'Star Wars Galaxies' anything music related was used to restore fatigue that it could do simialr by allowing you to calm your mind. It shold be amusing to see both natural & alien type musical elements in relic form deal with our character in Rising World, yet in a very rare 4% spawn rate chance :)

But yeah.........Thanks for the reply :)
