Oh! You thought this heavily through. I love this.

    - Spiral Staircases: It's something that would be sweet. People already doing such, yet be sweet as a 'default' for the others.
    - Cylinders: Sure.
    - Steam/Multiplayer: Hosting Minecraft is a damn chore that I'm hoping MP for RW is seemless & smooth. Any fixes towards this would go a long way if it's behind in any way.
    - Roofing Material: Oh! Please! Yes! I always struggled in Minecraft with this game being fitting for anything unique roofing. I"m still seeing people struggling with various sorts of roofing being necessary. It's up to us to shape the roof with the game needing to give us various sorts of designs. Roofs irritate me greatly in these sorts of games.
    - Pitched Roofs: Same reason as above as it adds into variety & beauty. More options the better with it being the most irritating part of a build. Having different angles & such be sweet, even if you can orient the stuff. Given more power would allow for more sweet builds to spawn.
    - Swinging Doors: I'm going to assume that Red51 is going to add such in the long-run so I'm not all too concerned. Just that I do hope it's done in variety to also keep vehicles & other entities in mind. Adding in small & large sorts and all that.
    - Rotating Blueprints: Didn't see this in the update logs so that is a must. Being able to rotate and move is a must & sure Red is focused on it.
    - Creative Mode Erase tool: N/A
    - Creative Mode Block: Agreed that every item & block should be unlimited.

    ------

Agreed with what's mentioned, even if I replied poorly in response. Awesome ideas that have my vote.

@red51 Oh! Sounds excellent. But make sure you have a way to counter these things while boldly mentioning filters because people will be heavily in favour of disabling these & other of your monsters on a whim. I'm seeing many "paranoid" type players. Shall be fun. That monster update shall hopefully be fun heh.

Also, at what @yahgiggle mentiond is something I can agree with. More neutral & hostile animals + something to rival the creeper for th fun of it. I guess Bandits, but something that seeks out player-made items? :P I guess we should just "wait & see" once we get to the dungeons to see what you're thinking. Shall be happy avoiding them pack of wolves, among other sorts.

Going to keep any monster thoughts & such hidden until Dungeons update as I mentioned the biome time-trigger spawning type multiple times  . Nice mini-update also.

Thing you have to keep in mind is that people keep speaking about wanting to disable Creepers, yet they have many nostalgic memories about them. Yes, they are annoying, but they also add to the game by keeping you alert & on your toes. You keep building things to keep them at bay. If people have a way to keep them away from you (like traps & cats) then they'll welcome them more. Just as long as people have a way to counter these threats they'll welcome them in. Either that, or they haven't adapted to keeping them at bay so they're simply frustrated they can't adapt. Thankfully Red51 added in filters heh.

You can't read it directly as "people don't want creepers type creatures in" within its blunt meaning. Yes, they're a hassle but it's because you need a way to keep them at bay (i.e fire & campsites for wolves). If we get a "creeper-like" entity then you have to make sure there's a counter to it that people can make use of :) But ya, I would also be enraged if an entity like that blew up my builds. Any "counter" might have to be a relic, a scenery, or something one can place on buildings to keep them at bay. Something that might work on a radius while also being something to stare at when placed down to keep place safe. Lots of brainstorming could be done.

Oh! Racoons! I can happily tolerate them stealing food from farms & such. Something happening "once-in-a-while" type of thing. I accept them stealing from chests also :P Again, people would have to build strong "banks" or storage places with heavily-locked doors. It be amusing seeing someone irritated at Racoons with all they had to do was lock the door & enclose the chests heh. Sneaky Racoons

Loving what's being posted here & hope I'm not being obnoxious with my postings. Love these postings though.

I vote a yes for some kind of notification, pop-up, or audio warning when someone teleports to you. I scared people in Minecraft this way with it being handy for this sort of game. Never know when a sneaky bugger may pop up, or 'innocent' person does.

That's something to make note of, indeed. It would be enjoyable once Red51 is able to figure out proximity for us and the entities in the world. Would be interesting if you could try for "pause attacks" with the bear prepping to attack you so you have this window of opportunity to strike back, similar to what the guy above did.

I also mentioned that bears aren't always hostile that there should be a percentage randomizing when they attack you & when they avoid you to have fun playing in a pool of water. Half the time they should simply be wandering around for "food", and other times they should find themselves building up a hidden condition bar of when to attack you. The same with the Moose. I did mention this to Red, hopefully been made note of.

I want to agree with Renatos about adding NPCS but I guess I'll keep my mouth shut about that until a year or so passes.

I also want to agree with Avenger & Trillnar about focusing on smaller updates but I also wouldn't mind you focusing on biomes. Just do whatever feels 'best' & more achievable. I wouldn't mind either way if we gained more frequent updates or had to wait for biomes. Others who can play are making a big fuss about it that from my view point I can still wait it out until December or January. People want biomes, especially for variety in 'survival' + Let's plays so might as well finally get it over with.

Sagsave seems to be on the same wave-length as I. Neat. Trillnar & Kasper seem a bit confused so I'd suggest checking out Minecraft's 'Galacticraft' in its simplicity. Think along the lines of Kerbal Space Program & Space Engine [This]. I do agree that the world is infinite so that may complicate planet appearances. Should be interesting viewing your world in a globe object hmm.

Starmade I tried out with it being a nice stepping stone to what Empyrion is. They're neat in their own ways, which is sweet in their own way. Space Engineer, I guess also is neat. I'm eventually going to try poking with Empyrion for it has the right thoughts in mind.

I'm not wanting Rising World to be a 'Swiss Army Knife', just weighing the options of what it could & can't do. Basically what Red51 would be willing to do & not do, and what we could get out of it. With that in mind I once again note that I would expect a 'Space Engine' type transportation with some Kerbal Space Program type building in space. Normal block building, but space themed for any foreign planets....

I guess we'll be stuck in thought on this, yet still eager to see what others see and think. If you're confused then dump everything I wrote by telling me how space should or should not function like :/

Hoping books shall be nice and detailed in a similar manner as journal. I guess the only way to do that in Rising World would be to store and share .pdfs. That be interesting. Glad you like that idea.

Fingercuffs: Was last Monday on Oct 12 when we gained the chickens. Red couldn't add turkeys so we got chicken the size of turkeys.

    ---------

Forgot to add biome specific mob spawning that I've seen in Pixelmon spawning. I'm hoping Red51 seriously considers adding in biome specific mob spawning (arctic wolves would do) into then adding bandits & etc that would otherwise stay in other chunks. Basically things that spawn that still breaths life into the game of things still living in the world. I believe I mentioned adding crafting tools that would warn you about these spawnings ahead of time so that's also something to consider for other sorts of entities.

Basically check out how legendary Pokemon spawn in Pixelmon then add in a way to add that into Rising World for mobs, mini-bosses, & etc at random.

Hmm.....Something that came to mind is having default, yet different small signs that you could attach to chests & barrels dealing with ores & foods. Basically being able to hang/display these default signs of carrots on a carrot barrel, or iron ore on a storage chest. That be handy for when posters go all messy on people.

Ya, I'd love some default display signs (small ones) for categorizing food & ores on chests & storage chests. Anything that stores goods. Bonus points if there's variety in design when displaying whatever item.

Either that, or having any item placed on a storage device to have it show what's being stored within. Take your pick. (Silly me didn't read the second posting, but that's what I'm basically aiming for: Wooden carvings & such also)

Ya, that's what we're doing in this world but I meant more with domes & stuff from Galacticraft. The meaning of "colonization" being more along the lines of needing space gear instead of the stuff for earth. Higher-tier space tech, domes & etc. Kerbal Space Station type stuff.....

But ya, seriously. I want to know what you think of space & if you're daydreaming of any scenarios or anything........(I guess I'm being confusing there while also giving my own 2 cents :/ )

Just thought I'd leave this here to link up with my signature. Feel free to ignore, or reply; I'll remove them if & when they may or may not be added. I don't want to clutter threads anymore.

    -----------

    My suggestions to the game:

    • NPC Comrades: Just some recruitable roaming wanderers you could allow to settle or turn into NPC Traders or even buddies to follow you as you explore. Must do combat with bonus tending to their hunger & thirst. (Needed for Single, and a quiet multiplayer world)
    • NPC EXP & Leveling: Custom NPCs (not dummies) should support gaining EXP & level systems for plugin/modding, as well as to unlock various vanilla & modded abilities. Think Pokemon, or my Japanese 'KanColle' hype of leveling. Some progression should be there.
    • NPC VIllages: Populated villages, towns, and etc that pop up every 10,000 or so "meters". (Rough distance estimate)
    • Boat + Storage: Boats with passenger spots & with numerous storage abilities. Minecraft failed here.
    • Vehicles built "outdoors": Vehicles should be built outside of the crafting tables from a shell. People would build garages, drydocks & hangers to tend to these. They shouldn't be "picked-up", only by other vehicles & specific construction tools (unless bike or similar).
    • Donuts: Because I requested it as a jest. ('Animal Crossing: New Leaf' coffee drinking vibes)
    • Tea: Same as donuts ('Animal Crossing New Leaf' vibe to it).
    • Beverages Holding: Being able to be held in your hand as you would see people holding it to work. Being able to take little sips from them
    • Turkeys: For next Canadian Thanksgiving for they were missed. (even for 2017)
    • Flags & Banners: To allow for custom & actual default flags & banners to be upped. Real-world flags & ones for us to proudly display.
    • Board Games & Computer mini-games: More side-fun to be had; Look at Computercraft for Minecraft for it's a legit idea. Play card games, chess, or arcade games.
    • Hostile Oceans/Waters: Humanoids in vessels should lurk the oceans for you to hunt & be hunted by.
    • Passive entities Oceans/water: Humanoids swimming & sailing in vessels casually in the water. Even fishing, among other things.
    • "Picture" books: Books with the ability to put your pictures in them. May be silly, and get abused, yet should also be treated as "Blueprints" or even pull from .pdfs.
    • "Pet" Taming: Having chickens fed to foxes to tame them; Lemmings to Arctic Foxes & etc over time. They (foxes & others) should be able to be tamed, commanded, & follow instructions.
    • Stepping Stones: The garden variety to allow for hastfully built pathways, and such. All sorts of variety.
    • Further Door Variety: Dutch doors, glass doors, farm fence gate doors, among others. All sorts of added variety to doors. Even doors with windows in them, among others.
    • Music Box/Radio object: Streaming music into the world by default & music from hard-drive; Bonus: Having others hear them in multiplayer worlds. (The Sims, GTA 3+, ETS2, & Second Life). Being able to stream youtube into multiplayer, otherwise everything loses its meaning.
    • Airships/Helicopters: Something slow, yet something to take advantage of the vast open sky. Again, must have storage chest capacity. Check out "Twin Otter" for slow reliable prop planes. Nothing higher or faster. Saw mention to airships which I enjoy. Blimps basically.
    • Customizable Statues: Should be able to be personally customizable, even ability to display own or other player's customization at that point. Humans, animals, & etc.
    • Moose Riding [Horse style]: This should be possible after horses & camels for this is a 'fresh' world for us to tame. Taming Moose to use their antlers also as weapons in jousting.
    • Biome-Specific Entities: Both Neutral & Hostiles that come and go on timers & triggers to encounter & attack/defend from. Both passive & hostile types (taken from Pixelmon mod spawning).
    • Regional Weather: Various chunks explored by the player should gain region specific weather. It would load in as entity to move around as a real front to either pester the player or to just be there as something pretty. Ice, snow, rain, fog, thunderstorms, etc should move around being active in some chunks, yet not so much in others, divided, or unified. Should see storms off in the distance. View the game called 'Astroneer' for an example.
    • Kitchen Egg Timer: For cooking at the BBQ, cooking in general, and to use with the big ore furnace to register & notify players when something is complete.
    • Tinted coloured windows: Of various shapes, sizes, and styles. Current ones, yet also different types also. Even ones being larger in scale. Missing the opportunity to craft more.
    • Coconut/Banana/Pineapple Trees: Just because I saw them in Animal Crossing: New Leaf that i'd desire having them for both scenic & food source. More the merrier.
    • Storm Barrels/Liquid barrels: Various types of barrels to contain water and any other sort of liquid. Any apple, orange, oil, and even rain water. Even to leave barrels out in open rainy areas to collect rain.
    • Clocktower/Church bells: Being able to toll bells would be a nice immersive addition. [Link] Both automated & manual oriented types.
    • Trees (Colour/seasonal): We need more colourful trees to decorate and be found. More orange, purple, red, and other sorts of trees. Even Sakura & crab apple trees.
    • Hedges (Garden): We need hedges, flower rows, among other sorts. Both natural & wild hedges, and etc. Everything that's desired would be asked to be in its own massive update for how vast this request is.
    • Rounded Planks & beams + Metallic: We need more variety to encourage circular building. We need triangular, circular, and sorts that would be easily applied to builds. Even metallic forms to them.
    • Portable Storage: Minecarts & boats would do these first, yet something more on a personal level would also be interesting to place in backpacks, and such. Even adding in forklifts to move stuff on pallets on chests into wagons, carts, ships, and such. (Look at 'Wurm Online/Unlimited for inspiration & examples).
    • Water Dispenser: Medieval Era would have those wooden barrel wine kegs to work with, while Modern era would have those cup related ones. The hand-crank ones for miners & the sipping office-park type ones.
    • Bed Notifications: Being told who is sleeping on bed in some notification + being able to simply skip a night when an 'x' amount of people are in a bed (2/8, for example).
    • Garden Shears: For gaining saplings from trees without losing a tree farm in the progress. Would simply gain branches to plant (as it's a known way) to grow trees. Savannah trees fail to yield proper saplings counts.
    • Coconut/Pineapple/Banana/orange Tree: Because we have apples, limes, and cherries we need something more 'tropical'.
    • Wheat: Wheat to grow & to make bread.
    • Wide Map: The current maps are great, yet wishing for a 'widescreen' version of the maps.
    • External Map Viewing: To be able to view your maps externally in an image format, as well as some 'Google maps' style on a website hosting.
    • Hay/thatch/straw Materials: Anything that's seen on rural ancient huts should be found in the game as blocks & plank type materials to make roofings, and etc. Even hay bails, and etc. Hay & it's variations should be found in quantity in variety & building styles.
    • Pumpkins & Melons Seeds: Both pumpkins & Watermelons should produce their own seeds when you slice them up to be able to plant 2:1, not 1:1 as it is now. There should be a slight gain to them with how food spoilage shall effect them.
    • More may come as updates come & go.....

    ----------

Sorry, and thanks! Just how I view "improving" Rising World from my perspective. I'll occasionally update this thread. I do not want to stress Red51 & his team, just feel these would be "appropriate" for this game.

For the fun of it I'm curious what your perspectives are about wandering into space. Please don't take this seriously (insulted), nor jesting in a silly manner (poking fun). How do you see Rising World dealing with the option of space travel? My perspective shall come from Minecraft and the suggestions I tried giving to Mojang & modders, yet constantly ignored and overlooked. I'm not expecting space to be added so that also should allow Red51 to breath a sight of relive. I simply want to know what you think of "space" in Rising World?
I'm perfectly fine for staying grounded in Rising World's version of Earth, yet be sweet if we could venture into space in the similar manner to what I've seen in Minecraft. Because this is Rising World I shall be expecting higher forms of technology to even be able to use it...I would expect either a half-sized replica of either a rocket or space shuttle in a more European design to even venture. A "budget" space program, if you will, to build up and explore the solar system.

    --------

Hidden in spoiler so I can hear your thoughts.

    ------

Again, I don't expect this to be done right away, or even soon. This is just something I kept thinking about while being spoiled by Minecraft's Galacticraft & other space programs. Just post giving me your thoughts about what you think. Don't bog your mind down too much. I kept this out of suggestions because it's something for later also, not now.

    1) I guess a jackhammer and all those electrical tools shall help you. All those construction vehicles you can request once vehicles shall be planned & added in.
    4) Saw people mentioned this so I guess we might get a flood light to be inserted into the game sooner or later.
    5) I recommend that storage chests would behave like those in Minecraft by either refusing to be broken when full, or drop everything within for you to be forced to pickup everything.
    6) I kind of enjoy it like this when thinking Minecraft-like. I guess Red51 could add back-packs, carts, and etc for water pipes, and all those heavier bits & pieces. Having to move bigger stuff with other equipment. As for running back and forth: That should be standard, yet also giving weight & function to horses & other modes of transportation.
    7) More variety in weapons, armour, and tools should be a must in this sort of game. Even having a customizable statue.
    8) Would be sweet to be able to jump realms while carrying items from one to the next. If it's done like Twilight Forest mod for Minecraft then I can approve of it. It however needs to be done cautiously.
    --------

    9) More banners, coats of arms, and etc would be awesome. I guess you should use Posters for now, yet be awesome to be able to put default and other sorts up there. Larger statues would be sweet.
    10) I would support movable blocks & such, similar to Minecraft's pistons & such.
    11) I'm sure we'll have conveyor belts & mining railways & etc. I'm having high hopes for this.
    13) I support this thought, more so after the Moose trophy addition.
    14) Having fly-mode could be an admin-only bit. Neat. Well I do support this but has to be a bit trickier to get to so people don't abuse it. I'd recommend adding in various building supports & etc.

This is awesome. I do hope my fellow Canadians enjoyed their Canadian Thanksgiving with that giant chicken. Saw a screen in Steam gallery with that chicken being massive when raw, and possibly cooked. Can't wait for when they farm. Also awesome on shearing the sheep. Moose trophies are nice. Loving the variety in the potted plants. The update is awesome. Getting gradually closer to the biomes.

I'd laugh if you could use Moose antlers as weapons. Desperate times calls for desperate measures. Same with taming & riding one..... :P

Still hoping everything is going well with the biomes. Once that's done Red can breath a sigh of relief for those necessary brief moments then probably (figuratively & in a pun) drown in the water update. Still waiting to see the the biome release now that I restored my ISP connection :D

Note: I"m being patient because I still can't play, yet highly eager to see what's new. Keep chugging at your own pace while highly eager. Don't rush :)
