True words.. But I'm sure a really snowy biome (which comes closer to "brutal winter" than the current screenshots at least) finds it way into the game too ^^

You're welcome for the feedback :)

Looking back I may have shared the wrong image, yet happy to hear that we may find more 'brutal' winter biomes heh. I wanted to share more forested areas with frozen lakes & such but I guess that's after all the water & dungeon updates. Something more like this: (Link 1) & (Link 2). I guess I'm just rambling.

But ya, that's awesome heh. Now waiting for the next update.

Ya, at this point I view this second page as "over-reacting". With what I'm used to in the gaming community + with Mojang, Red is basically spoiling us rotten with what we're getting in each update. Everything else is pretty much 'decoration' in text. Even my novel-sized postings.

Nothing to complain about. We're going to get the biome update + the water update + dungeons after that so that's something to look forward to. Blockscape is a mess so it's left to fix itself. Mojang also has issues to tend to by still having to fix boat de-sync issues that they're purposely ignoring. Red's game is one of the few/many games on the block. The small updates Red pushes out is still just as important as the big ones that fixes floating ores, among other things. :P

I now feel horrible when seeing people having their mind blown. I do love this teaser, yet inflated my expectations a bit too high. Now gradually trying to lower them to be able to have fun when we are given the chance to roam about. That Savannah is now spot on; The tundra not so much for me. This being a teaser so trying to treat it as such with weeks to go till it's fully out.

Surprised to see the lions, Giraffes, and penguins while hoping for arctic foxes, wolves, among others. Nice update. I really do want to go surviving & colonizing heh. Keep up the good work, Red! That last shot kind of looks like the rocky mountains.

The Canadian in me wants to see brutal winter, yet beautiful, scenery like this - http://wallpapers.mi9.com/wallpaper/winter-mountains_87724/.

High praises to Red & his two buddies. Keep up the good work. I'm still giving you high praises heh.

THX!!! :) I will definitely build a Japanese round pavillon on the bigger island and add some more sculptures and lamps and in my oppinion Japanese lokking stufff. :P A dragonsculpture would be so nice, but I'm not sure if I can make it just the way I want it. It's a big challenge. ^^

Sweet! Looking forward to seeing more. Dragon statue, pavilion, among others would be sweet heh.

I love your lovely garden. Wish I could visit it sometimes in the future. Hoping to see more additions made in it, especially after the biome update + water. Should be more lovely if it isn't too much to ask to tend to this garden some more.

I'm apologizing because I keep posting everywhere with me fearing I may have posted something stupid. I'm trying to have Red's back while fearing that I may sound like a hypocrite when harassing Red to add in NPC comrades because the world becomes lonely in both single & multiplayer worlds. Something along the Skyrim or Rimworld level of AI for those you can 'recruit' to join you. I had little time to proof-read my post so I hate what I posted mainly here & elsewhere. I failed to mention that in my post with it also being a giant missed opportunity to be twice or three-times as awesome with this game's potential. Apologizing mainly for that & my constant obnoxious posting.

But ya, harassing Red to push out updates quickly just hurts us more than Red because we gain a buggy state of a game. Red has to make the game "Idiot proof" for us to use it. As what was said above, making these sorts of games is a pain in the rear. Something simple, even building a single complex structure, takes absolutely ages. It takes you three days (if highly skilled) building a complex & grand building, then the rest to polish it out. Use that same example for how coding works.....

Wow....But ya, we have Red's back. Take as much time as needed. If I don't jinx myself I'll be able to enjoy both the biomes (or the introduction of water) when I'm able to jump in. Take your time.

I do apologies once again for jumping in but thought what I'm adding may help some.

I've noticed that people are never happy, purposely provoke, or just are innocently ignorant how game development works. I've shadowed Petroglyph Games, those making small flash games to get into gaming studios/industry, and I tried making games & mods for these games of my own. Currently trying to make one using RPG Maker VX Ace and anything simple there takes hours + days. I mean, making it all flow, making things work properly, and etc. Even with few basic mods I fiddled with in games that allowed me to understand their coding. Us gamers have to understand that coding something simple + making them function as intended may indeed take days, but the proper polished one should take 3 or even weeks. We alone can play it as intended, but what about those that want to purposely or accidentally break the coding? You have to make sure features are 'idiot proof'.

I've encountered a troubling & countless amounts of gamers (kids & parents at that) who kept whining hoping to get everything on a gold or silver platter. They wanted to be treated like royalty, this time not something that should be defended. Check out 'Blockscape' & 'Lego Worlds' for all the backlash on steam forum. I even stalked Mojang with Minecraft seeing how everything makes a difference. No matter how big or small the update it's all important. The small updates Minecraft released was worthwhile, and same for this game.

I once again apologize if this is misread or out-of-context or anything. Just that I found myself frustrated when coding doesn't work right while trying to hold respect for Red & his two buddies making this game. We're all eager & I'm still also feeling regret for accidentally lashing out myself along with Avenger up there in other topics.

    --------

[Edit: In short: I'm basically saying that coding is a pain in the rear end with bugs & errors happening. You have to close loop-holes & etc. This tends to push things further away + Red having to deal with us pestering him to release updates when they don't want to function as intended. If we gain it earlier we then complain how everything is broken. Let's be patient & wait for this weekend + when the biomes are released? (Also pressed for time so I made horrible typos. Sorry.)]

    Each to their own.

Well...I guess this idea became complicated the more people tried to mold it to their own. Take a peak at the piano, then at a program called Fruityloops then merge the two for in-game side entertainment. If games like Minecraft can have them then that be sweet.

Whatever happens, happens. I'm only trying to help with me feeling overly agitated over this topic & this topic alone. I now want to burn this topic to the ground.

Red did say "a few weeks" on steam forums so it'll be a September update then. I guess I'll probably have a double update for September. I don't mind because that means we're getting a quality update that deals with biomes, maybe animals, and plants to add into it.

I'm interested in this whole 'Rising World' game for tablet that Red spoke of. I know it won't be soon, yet it seems awesome for that want to play on the go, or when things go sour.

Ya....I guess September shall be biomes then.......*looks over towards Red*. You're doing awesome so keep up the good work. Can't rush quality. More patience needed.

Yup, read that they do. Just wanted to make sure in the future when it becomes solidified that you don't find yourself bored by digging nothing but stone. Thanks though. Wondering if I should keep silent now until I actually get the game now? Hmm...

Am sure this was noted, but just making sure it's "fresh" in our minds that ores need to also spawn outside of caves. I suggested finding things like fossils and stuff with Red51 possibly finding such. Glad these things are being looked into. Even if it's trivial, it'll help greatly instead of just digging into the same scenery.

This experience has been learned within Minecraft vanilla & it's modpacks, mainly Feed The Beast. Pardon any repetitions on my side. Looking forward to finding "junk" & random stuff later in the game's life.

That sounds fair to what Sleekcrime said. We can play however we want in either creative or survival; medieval or modern; both or just one age; single or multi; and any other fun option. This game has that intention and further potential to give us old fashioned to tech up to modern and such.

I can strongly say that people shall stick with horses once they carelessly use up oil. Either that, or go into 'cautious' mode to be efficient. Shall be interesting. There's things like seaweed & sugar canes to consider for vehicles once oil is used up. I'm thinking ahead hoping that Red51 also thought of this issue that showed itself strongly in Minecraft's FTB modpack.

And again, I do hope vehicles are built outside of the crafting bench, not within it. I want to stress this because it gives it more of a value & worth.

    Feel free to ignore....

    1) Ores right now are set in a test phase so it's bound to change. A ore detector would be neat, only if you keep it to beeping to the hand-held metal detectors.

    2) The compass is an odd one here. Not sure what Red wants to do, yet agree that it should be slightly in the middle range. You still have to go venturing, just not too far to get the compass as people said.

    3) I'd expect these in the biome & then a dungeon update. The creatures & everything else shall come with those & the rest of the major updates. Looking forward to seeing what Red has in store.

    4) Possibly with an animation update? I do want close-range weapons to also be ranged (Sword, spears & etc) while pocket knives being treated as they are in the manner of swords. Luckily we're also getting bows & arrows, small fire-arms, muskets, and crossbows. That should help nicely.

    5) Water can be expected in September. Biomes is for August while water shall be the focus for September. Even Red agreed to make these water sources drinkable, swimmable, & etc. Shall be sweet to see what happens.

    6) I rambled on about oceans & ocean sea-life so feel free in hunting that bulky thread down. We'll also see fishing after the animation update so I also do hope we can go all Skyrim in hunting down oysters & etc. Shall be fun.

    7) Maps are being considered highly by Red so we'll be seeing something.

    ------

I believe Red also has to fix the blueprints. Maybe that's after biomes?

Finally we can understand each other as to why you hate it. Took you a few posts to say such.

Well, I'll also say it's perfectly normal suggestion because of a program called Fruityloops that you can make music with. Mixing Minecraft's noteblocks with Fruityloops in Rising World would give people something to do other than building & venting. Building constantly eventually goes from eustress to the typical bad stress. I'm just trying to 'simplify' it somehow with what I heard with how you play piano in the game. Might as well give it some use or else it's just high quality junk.

I'm sure Germans prefer useful quality over shitty quality. And Sagsave had the right idea from when I was able to read it last time. Just relaxing after a nice ingame hard work. That's the kind of atmoshphere & suggestion I'm aiming for. Go Youtube 'Minecraft noteblocks' and you'll see how useful and practical it is. My suggestion also aiming to save space.

I had a few days to read over your postings & I still can't find what's silly behind it. I simply see you being rude with me seeing this as something normal because I've been exposed to what I wanted in other games. Again, from Star Wars Galaxies (musicians) + Lord of The Rings MMO (Instruments) + Minecraft (musical blocks & discs), among others.

I don't mind you and others commenting. I welcome it because people because can voice their thoughts. The problem is that I'm finding you to be overly aggressive when I consider this normal no matter how many times I run over your postings. I guess it's silly because of you don't have music in your blood like those Minecrafters and myself.

Ya, no matter how many time I read it over I can't find it being silly. I mentioned it because it sounds normal to me. I simply see jealousy or something along those lines. Or maybe it's my wording while having music in my blood. I really do want some form of musical attention in this game to unwind after building. Something to break from the constant building or adventuring. You'd be surprised how normal this is to the more "hardcore" players.

    Well, I`ll be honest...

    Blueprints (experimental),
    Custom images (totally unnecessary)
    Few bugfixes...

It didn`t surprise me at all... we of course need blueprints more than biomes and water...(sarcasm) especially in so early stage of game development...but, Red, you could calmly skip this update as you could skip all since I bought the game.... and to concentrate to what game really needs, and that is content, man, content ... diversity of terrain, animals, npc-s...., multiplayer needs cleaning to, lag is sometimes awful, and lag peaks brake the game, who needs blueprints when you`re still falling through ground man.... I think you`re doing to much side job and not doing core of the game... sorry, I am little disappointed....

Ah, these are necessary with one little puzzle pieces adding onto the whole. Don't throw a fit.

Blueprints are necessary because people hate rebuilding while wanting to share with others. It helps rebuild what has been broken or to remember how to build what may have been forgotten. I'd love to carry one build to the next; From my world to other people's words & back. It's helpful that way. It'll also assist people to connect with Youtubers. I had people leave Minecraft because they constantly had to rebuild from faulty maps. MCEdit helped, yet it also corrupted maps. This shall help in the long run.

Custom images are necessary when one wants to be nostalgic. It's what I wanted in Minecraft but it has the same fears & issues as in this game: people posting +18 images & crude content with them pretending they're special & cute. It allows people to bring the outside world into this game of their travels, past games, memories, among other sorts of builds. It's useful to me, and I'm glad it has been added in. It's a shame people are stupid by assuming they're cute when they're not.

Bug fixes are also necessary, or else you'd find yourself stuck in the terrain. :P

Biomes and water are both being added in August & September so I'm not all too worried about that. If he also skipped these updates they'd be silent. Be patient and more shall come. Take a step back and view the picture as a whole while also viewing these updates as puzzle pieces that adds to the bigger picture.

Yahgiggle, you just lost many respect points on those two postings. Quite rude. And I do mean this seriously when you read into this seriously. No wonder you're taking a piss and being rude if you're viewing it on a clowny note.

If you're going to be rude then I suggest you take a wander around your downtown area of your town to make note of those playing instruments on the street. Those are the types I'm seeking to add into Rising World for "atmosphere" purposes, and to compete for Minecraft's 'note-block' purposes.

Burn that thought of the clown and think more elegantly/classy along the lines of orchestras and the like. I seriously lost respect for you.

That's what I'm thinking of. More along these lines........

Fixed a little tongue-twister of a typo for the NPC musicians. Should make sense now.

Glad I gave you an idea. Hopefully we can both fiddle with both of our ideas to have our musical sides play out. Nice pool tables would be sweet + juke boxes and all that. I bet we're eventually going to reach this stage once we allow Rising World to mature to its completed state.

    -----------

I bet people are unaware that they really want this feature. I've seen people having fun in Star War Galaxie's Cantina just messing about while also seeing my comrades (net buddies) mess about with musical instruments that played a preset track in Phantasy Star Online 2. Same when hanging out in Animal Crossing: New Leaf in Club LOL (404) with DJ KK. The actual instruments you can purchase & collect in ACNL to start your own mini-band. People do want it, just seems they're more focused on wanting survival (biomes, water, & etc) which I completely understand & agree with. They want their survival features, yet subconsciously also desiring their musical side of things heh. Not now, but in the few months after these updates shall settle. What I'm also suggesting this because I've seen quite a number of people messing about with Minecraft's note blocks.

Now imagine people fiddling around with these NPC musicans in the way they do with those music blocks. More so when they have the command of a conductor to play out musical pieces in a unified manner, yet playing their own piece heh. All this in a condensed space while making use of music sheets for them to play things out like juke box or music box. No need for chunks upon chunks of space. Rising World should happily allow this for both the musican & those that build & travel. Rising World is this powerful.
