The next update will be available on Wednesday, December 18, in the early evening (GMT+1).

This update will not yet replace the Java version, instead it is the actual content update. We'll provide more information about the transition together with the update.

There is no real roadmap, since we simply cannot give an ETA on these features ;) It will take a little bit more time until water is ready, for 3rd person we first need to rework our current character model (which may take a few months). Vehicles are only planned at a later stage of the game.
Btw. there would be no reason for moving to another language ;)

I like the way things are going so far. Right now what sets this apart form so many other games is that there are not hoards of monsters waiting to mow you down if you turn around . You do not have to run around with a weapon in 1 hand. There are at least a dozen other games like that out there. I suggested Unity because it is free (just like your current engine) also I feel it will deliver a much better landscape. Voxel farm just released their engine and its landscapes are incredible.

I do not want to see this game turn into a farm fest(here we have to spend hours and hours gathering, or wait we got to eat or sleep ) That is why I believe in the switch system. If you want it , turn it on , if not turn it off. It then becomes a play your way. (I like what they did with skyrim and the entire morrowind system ) if you don't want something, turn it off. Using a switch system, you just turn off the attacks on unfriendly animals. People running servers could then set them up any way they want to. some people just want to build, others want to hack and slash. (IE 7 days to die style ). These are just my opinions.

Good news , I do have 1 simple request for the next update, it is simple and should take about 5 minutes to code. Please Place a CONFIRM on the removal of a world. It would be greatly appreciated. I have accidently deleted worlds more then once .

What is Cool about the way Rising world works is the way the world is generated. It only creates another piece of the world if you go there and the data seems to be very small because only the changes you make to the world seem to be saved. I have a very large test world with a lot of just roads and the data size is tiny.

Creative mode works, yes. It's been so abused in Minecraft & Skyrim that I'm just sick of seeing anything regarding creative mode. It breaks immersion, it breaks the fun, and it just kills everything. I'm more of a builder in survival mode because it challenges you to get far more creative than it does in creative mode while having to make note of the scenery. That is also part of the reason why I'm 'dying' for one of those "AI comrades" borrowing Rimworld's AI programming of needs and combat.

It's because of creative mode that Minecraft also died (with Mojang's help on leaving the game broken on 1.8's second coming) for me on SMP that I have hostile thoughts to anything that 'cuts corners'. Thanks for bringing it up though. I do enjoy the survival suffering and challenges though as it keeps me on my guard. Viewing Rising World in a semi-similar light to what Rimworld has going for environmental threats, yet not as sci-fi.

My point here is one has a choice, the creative mode is needed to lay out a new world. It takes forever if you "play it straight" I played on a couple of servers already. One can set up a server any way they want . Some just want to build , others want to fight, some want to survive. Some want monsters , some do not. It is all about choices to play it your way. This can be a great game where you can configure a server your way and for different play styles. In Alpha's like this it would take forever to get the resources to test. A lot of games have the command Prompt. Choices are important. Those that want Survival can have it , those that don't want to worry about eating can have it . You can play it your way. Just join a server that plays like you want to and everyone is happy :)

The ~ key is your best friend in creative mode :) That or an SQL inventory editor. I look at this game more like a fun to build thing . There are too many Zombies and Kill this or that out there. This is a very refreshing change. If you constantly have to worry about eating and just want to build , that is a pain.

Actually I am hoping for Plains , Desert areas , areas with snow and a weather system. The game is still in early stages . I am hoping that is everything is programmed with an on off switch , it will be great :) Choose what you want , and how you want it .

As it is we spend a lot of time with a rake just getting rid of the grass to make a road , we do not need it to grow back LOL. Our fingers are to the bone as it is :)

    English translation of above message

Bug 1 : specific block problem that is installed in a direction different to direction intended by .
Bug 2: food procurement , in other than pig animal does not drop food is quite a problem .
Bug 3 : stone may not be recoverable problem when you destroy the worked stone .

This feature should take about 3 minutes to install.

Add a Confirm delete on a created world, Either By Yes/ NO box or typing in the world Name to delete.
Its too easy to remove a world accidentally .

Typing Item fireplace 1 in the command prompt will crash the game and render the world unloadable , however, typing Object fireplace 1 will not ruin the world save file. Just a heads up . I tested it several times and the same result.

I fineally decided to purchase Rising world last night.
Having watched so many videos, I decided to have a go at it .

I did have a couple of minor issues but I was able to correct them . I have a fairly decent computer ( Dell XPS (I7), 6gb ram, 3.4 ghz Quad Core CPU and AMD Radeon Graphics card with 1 Gig ram ). I really had to turn down the settings to get a playable game. I had to Install 64 bit java from the stand alone installer to get the 64 bit Java installed as most Java installs are 32 bit.

The Game Has not Crashed as of yet .

    Some General comments.

The Grass IS WAY to tall, it could stand to be a bit shorter.
The appearance of the world is a bit too Green and the Mountains could be Grey/ Brown Instead of just grey.
The world lacks color . (Trees with Green / Brown leaves, leaves on the ground and not always grass. There could also be snow areas and desert/ plains too.). Not Just all green.

Of Course we need water and I look foreword to seeing it.

Regarding Survival, Monsters. As long as we can toggle It off it would be fine. There are too many games out there with slash and hack. This is the closest thing to a friendly Voxel sand box builder that I have seen. This is perfect for kids. When I say toggle off the werewolves, I mean they do not show up at all. :)

We could use an optional economy where people could buy and sell from each other.

    Npc Villages of course.

    3rd person view.

I would rather see hunger not go down in creative mode. I guess with the command line it doesn't matter.

You are off to a good start. It looks like great things are coming.

HI and thanks for the replies.
I will probably pick the game up in the next few days and I will probably go with the steam version. I have an AMD Radeon Hd 6450 Graphics Card with a gig of memory and a dell pc (I7) with 6gb of ram so hopefully it will run. Amd 's driver updates have been horrible lately. I guess the only way I will find out if it runs is to buy it .

    Hi Folks,
I have been watching Rising world videos on you tube and am Considering Purchasing the game. My Questions are as follows.

    1. Is it better to purchase it Directly or use steam ?

    2. I realize the game is in early Alpha, However there are some of us that would rather not mess with aggressive monsters, Will there be a way to play the game in a mode in the future where you wont "Have to fight " Just to enjoy the world. I realize now there are no mossters.

    3. 3rd person view. Will there be a third person view in the game instead of you just seeing a tool ?

Thank you . I look foreward to seeing how all of this turns out :)
