I used the glowing texture ID 800, which can be illuminated and colored as desired.
The effect can be used in lamps as well.
The picture of the Safari lodge shows the ingame sign before the door, the other picture on the window is a poster. I prefer
poster because you can use the text with flattened edge for a spatial effect etc.
Unfortunately you can't really see it in the picture.
I almost always built the coffee machine and other decorations myself.

Blender is one I know. 3d artists can add .obj to the game. I am not sure about all the steps. You’ll have to do some research.
