well I don't have any sounds suggestions just yet,but I will say I'm liking all the current ones so far!
(Major thread necro, lol)
Anywhoo, it sounds like there is a small timing problem with tools at the moment. Whenever a tool is swung at a workpiece, you can hear both a 'swing' sound, and a 'hit' sound. However the hit can always be heard before the swing...
Advancing the 'swing' and/or delaying the 'hit' would probably resolve this pretty easily.
Haha, ancient (no pun intended) thread
Thanks guys!
Yes, we'll work on some of those issues, adding lots of new sounds and replacing some of the crappier ones. We will also take a closer look at the timing as well. This will probably happen once all animals and monsters are out of the way (there's so much stuff in the pipeline, though).
The music has been great so far! I would make one suggestion to the sound made when a tree is falling after it has been cut down. There have been a few times when a tree doesn't actually fall because it gets caught by another tree next to it, but we still hear it fall and it just feels fake. Would there be any way to dynamically determine whether a tree will actually make it all the way to the ground and change the sound effect based upon that determination? It's not a big deal but it does bring me out of moment so to speak.
Another one of those things we have set our eyes/ears on! I agree it takes away some of the immersiveness.
We have talked about possible solutions, we'll soon tackle this to work on neater solution.
I think it would be nice to have a seperate option for lowering the surrounding sounds, because I think the forest swoosh is a bit loud. Also, when I minimize the game, this sound still keep playing
Would love to hear the trailer music ingame
the inventory switching sound is a bit loud....I like it,but it seems kinda loud.
Well if you break a wooden block, it would be nice to here a wooden sound/chipping sound.
Apart from that, there is no sound, if you get a plank to break or any other non stone material(exept blocks).
Wenn ein Holzblock zerstört wird, sollte auch ein entsprechendes Geräusch kommen, nicht das gleiche wie bei Stein.
Außerdem gibt es derzeit kein Geräusch, wenn Holzbalken oder Planken zerstört werden.
Just an idea but are we going to get the ability to play our favorite music in game with also having items like stereos and record players with a mini UI system to select the titles we want to play?
I love the sound when you walk on snow or mud :3

It's in the works!

We might eventually replace that sound for a more subtle one, actually. But we've all gotten a bit used/attached to it, though.

Great idea, but it's probably more of a single player feature due to copyright woes and it's also potential noise pollution once trolls pick up on it
Toilet sounds 100% no doubt
+1
…are coming (believe it or not)

Did you design the trailer music as well? Very impressive !
No, that is stock music. I'm sure red can tell you what it is. It certainly is very cool!
I'm more of an ambient soundtrack rather than an epic orchestral soundtrack guy
Will you be making ambient background tunes for different areas, or situations. Like different moods for the surface, or underground? In dungeons? Just curious.

Thank you. red51 told me it is this music, in case anyone else wants to know: http://audiojungle.net/item/epic-adventure/9562866
