You can indeed do a lot with ropes. Small segments of rope, straight, slightly curved and also knots both big and small.
These combinations will make hammocks, sails for boats, rope fences around docks, coils of ropes, nets, and ladders.
It would be nice to see a pot or pan on which you can cook or fry something.

a pot already exists in the game and you can spawn it via console command. It is only placeable on a grill on top of a campfire. Unfortunately it is not functional yet but hopefully it will be in a few more updates

I mean creating a pot and not through the console, and of course a lot of different recipes, can't wait coming updates

I know I just confirmed that a pot already exists so it will definitely be part of the cooking update when it comes
I also hope we can create custom recipes, maybe through the java API or even in the game. For instance make a soup with whatever vegetables we have on us and based on what we put in the resulting soup will get it's health regen hunger/thirst quenching properties. This soup could have a generic soup image and model so no need for red51 to customise the image/model for each individual ingredient in it.
Just a thought here, but it would be quite simple to add a colour filter overlay onto the generic soup image texture. Like a red alpha overlay for tomato soup, and a yellow alpha overlay for say potato soup etc. One texture, many soups
