A new update (0.9.2) is available now!
Latest Hotfix: 0.9.2.1 (2026-05-13)

Awesome list. More the merrier and I would absolutely love more tree types. Having pet animals and human comrades would be excellent also. Small actions like petting animals also, I approve. Having 'emoticon' type animations would do wonders. Pruning garden plants would be neat also. Whatever is added I shall be happy with.

I do hope the Trio consider allowing us to use Mooses like horses and camels for the fun of it. Seeing as how it's a fresh new world we should be free in what we do, not restricted with the environment. I at the very least would enjoy jousting (for fun & combat) with Mooses. Also because of Canadian pride.
(Sorry, didn't want to create a new thread to spam.)

Seeing as how the game is still 'new' I don't mind where it is at right now. Maybe I'm misreading, just that people aren't understanding that the game is still an infant at this stage with updates needing to allow it to age into it's own version of teenage, adult, and overly matured state..

Creative mode is also handy when you want to experiment, I just feel that it cheapens the game play by giving everything to you at once. Want resources and to build everything? THat's cheapened. It's useful i you have 10 minutes to burn, or wanting to make a video. For Youtubers creative mode is awesome, and for kids. Just that elsewhere it feels cheapened.

Survival mode is where you EARN things. Sure, you die and lose things, but you also earn the respect by all that blood, sweat, and tears that were shed when you gained and built stuff. This is proven in RPGs, Minecraft, and hopefully shall in this game. When you work for your stuff you can tell tales of how you got what, even what block was obtained where. Roleplaying goes high. It's fun showing off the stuff you naturally earned by working for it.

(Not sure if hating survival, or just annoyed at the 'lacking' survival options I tried to word it both ways.)

I have to agree with Sayaron to simply be patient while trying to find that one single thread by not creating more. It cluttered steam so badly that I bet it's giving Red & his buddies grey & white hair. Constantly having to repeating things like a broken record. Too bad people won't listen and things shall keep repeating themselves because old habits die hard, especially with generations constantly being renewed.

Glad the update came while now patiently waiting on updated AI behavior on the Bear & Moose. Forgot what was planned after hostiiles. More food? Poor memory now. Maybe it was ores.....*shrugs*. Also nice on the ability to toggle hostilities on animals heh. Small things go a long way.

Awesome stuff. Accidentally allowed Rising Worlds to slip off my radar that I now have to catch myself back up. Glad Vortac & Weem keeping me up to date heh. I wonder if bears could be nudged into having a 70% of attacking on sight. They're still hostile on sight, just something to command respect and fearsome.

That Moose is awesome. I know Mooses are elsewhere, but would be neat if we could mount them, or be able to train them somehow later down the line. Just a little thought in a Canadian pride manner by mounting one up in a stereotypical Canadian manner with a vibe of horse jousting. As for Rabbits, nice stuff. Sad to hear them having that 'cry' to them when you hurt them. That injured noise shall make me want to use ranged weapons to hunt them. Using bows & arrows from a distance.

Also amused that goats now defend themselves. As it should be when you attack and provoke an animal. I say pigs & cows should try biting you at a percentage also. Nice update overall

I, and 'we', mentioned something similar with the trio's response leaning to a negative. If there are going to be pets then it was implied that we'll be getting such features fairly late when the game is considered complete. Nice idea though, and it works off what I wanted in the game also of having to gift 'tributes' to prankful hungry birds that attacks you. I really do want us to tame them the way you mentioned by working for it over time....It's similar to how you tame horses in Minecraft, just more 'realistic'.

I was hoping Red could add followers you could customize on the same level as yourself, even using the hunger & food system also. Even tending to their food & third levels also....This could carry over to the pet side also while being allowed to raid chests when 'under your command'; your ownership. I really do want to see both, or either of these in because Rising World would be boring otherwise, or at the least have missed an opportunity to further be unique from others by also adding features hitting sweet-spots. At the very least, we'll end up looking forward to a 'possible' NPC village system added later down the line.

Without followers or pet of some kind for singleplayer folks, or those on MP on quiet ones, would have less fun with both/either pets & comrades not added. Be a wasted chance otherwise. I don't want to force Red, but I also do because of how much it adds as a whole in entertainment value.

If that's what the 'Trio' want to add into the game then I'd be all so happy with them appearing on warm mountain areas. The 'hotsprings' that is. I wouldn't recommend adding 1-2 in every world, just rare enough as those mesa & ice spiked biomes in Minecraft. I need an example and Minecraft is the 'best' one so far. Would be amusing to have a hot spring in cold mountains if we're going to have 'environmental diseases', or whatever Red was planning with diseases & illnesses. Being near these should help with heat.

I hope that wasn't confusing. I was trying to be careful with my wordings, even trying to 'source' my thoughts. And yes, I simply want resource friendly tools because I'm an idiot otherwise. I'm also suggesting something similar to the Japanese porn game tools made by Illusion (studio only) because it's user-friendly while also allowing people to be creative. I'm hoping Red catches wind of this and adds this onto the release when modding support is released so I can then fiddle around in my own manner.

If Red can't, nor his other two, then I'll simply nudge this over to the modding community that'll be born when modding support comes out. Not everybody has the required patience, or it is elsewhere.

This is what I'm most excited for with the way Red (or the trio) implied there shall be over-ground trains in the game. Look - here - and scroll down to the 'railway' tab and read what it says. Don't worry, not shouting against you, I'm rallying with you for having trains because I want actual real locomotives in our game, more so after it was implied.

Adding locomotives, railway carriages, wagons, and all that would be awesome. It would also encourage long distance traveling by also transporting goods from one spot to another, if actually biome specific. If Red can fiddle with the NPC villages to accept supplies in that supply & demand manner then that would compliment the trains and vice-versa. Would make Rising World awesome.

Apologies if this is obnoxious again, maybe even confusing once again. I also apologize this ended up being long-winded also. Just wondering what is and isn't possible and what can or can't be considered. I wouldn't mind if this is made through modding also for the scripting-impaired, such as myself. I'm an idiot when it comes to scripting, even trying to learn such so I'm suggesting this as I'm the other type of 'fiddler' when it comes to games. More of setting things up so I can try and set 'scenic' scenes for image taking. Basically building things while trying to be as creative as possible through image screenshots. I guess this should indeed be left for 'Studio' programs, though this game has that freedom that this could work. It worked for Skyrim, common in Minecraft, and in J+18 games so I assume similar would work for this game.

Basically put.... I was wondering if it would be possible to have a modding tool to allow us to 'play' around with where each entity can spawn, in what frequency, and etc through the 'newbie friendly' modding tool. Something not just for me, for anybody wanting to do Let's Plays also.

    - What I'm thinking:

    • Being able to scroll through the list to pick and edit a mob to then see in the right-hand side. (Typical editing window dumbed down in simplicity)
    • To select what 'pre-set' animations to choose and add onto selected mob; Preview the animation motion in screen on right side.
    • To set their alignment - Peaceful, hostile, neutral, etc - and where they may found. Even the spawn-rate.
    • Import/Export options - Being able to import other people's animations, models, and etc while also exporting animations for reference.
    • Basic Rigging - Studio/Poser in a very basic manner. Able to tell game what body part is what (Basic hands, arms, legs, and head, nothing more)
    • Bonus: Image importing - Being able to read images from other games and importing models from there into this game. [(*) View below in a spoiler tag]

I'm suggesting this because the game is advertised to be vast, even to have traditional RPG NPCs for trading purposes. At the very least, I would love the option to be able to further customize both them, and the hostiles by mixing & matching things. I shall accept the NPC Traders, and I'll be patient. I'll be happy with NPC Traders, even if they roboticly move around. I at the very least hope they're customizable in appearance if these tools aren't considered officially, or through modding. I'm just someone that wants to get all 'creative' in my own manner similar to that in Skyrim; Both building and customizing NPC (Traders) into comrades.

If a mod tool can't be done then I'm fine with that. A suggestion for both myself and others....More so for the Let's Players & modders. I can also wait, just simply suggesting and playing with thoughts.

Wanting to say "too soon" but eh, nice to hear people's thoughts. Welcome also :)

I do agree that there needs to be lots added into the game, even myself being able to grab it. This game is still fresh so not being all that harsh about it, instead being overly patient with it while being eager with what's being added. I also agree, and believe, that this game shall strongly compete with and most likely even dethrone Minecraft through natural feature additions. If it stays on track with what's planned then it'll do fine, the planned stuff being on the feature page on the main site. Nice review.

As for Trillnar's response, I also have to agree with some of what he has to say about this game toppling Minecraft. I agree. This game needs biomes (which it shall eventually gain) with seasons hopefully being implemented after that. Even weather. Weather with somewhat more complex weather patterns with freezing rain, hail, fog, and such. Whatever can be pulled off shall make this game more glorious. Even variety in plant-life. Should be interesting to even encounter wild threats in a similar fashion to what's in Skyrim, yet more varied and randomized. It'll have to be due to the vast world, yet not as common as zombies & skeletons in Minecraft. No popping up in random small shadows. That's my hope after all the hostile animals are figured out that shall lead into monsters, if any.

As for money, I do hope it's kept to bartering. Trading for one item for another freely. Whatever the NPCs have you can trade for in return. None of these locked stuff that vanilla Minecraft does, yet more of the "Millionare" village mode with you being able to see what the other NPCS have. It's been said that NPCs shall be kept simplified, even to a traditional NPC RPG foundation needing mods to get all complex. NPC Villages being a 50-50% thing with it pushed all the way to when the game is considered 'completed'. Hoping for high customization in that at the very least.

I have to praise Red and his two buddies for doing a great job so far. Lots of praising to be given to them so far, more in the future. I also have thought that I want to ramble on about so I'll place that in a new thread......

@ArcticuKitsu: Fences are planned ^^ And yes, since tomatoes are in the game, we could also implement tomato juice in the future <X

Excellent. That be a nice way to quench thirst. And I take it you're not a fan of tomato juice? When having the right kind it's quite tasty.

Meltron: Hope you and your Tomato friend are handing out nicely. Hope there's some red & green blocks to make a Tomato Shrine/House out of. :P

Oh, excellent stuff. Fences of any kind in that, or that coming later? And this is nice to hear that farming is in there because I'll be having loads of fun with that. I wonder if this'll make room or tomato juice to also quench thirst. Can't wait to see the hostile animals roaming wild. Should change up the experiences now, even in Let's Plays heh.

Happy Birthday, Meltron. Celebrating with farming on your end, eh?

Apologies for the double-posting....I just wanted to sneak in an image through the attachments to ask if we could also have "neon" lights, if there isn't any yet. I remember my trip in Europe back in 2008 there was this neon-lit grocer that I spotted in the early hours at 4-6 am when heading back to Bratislava from Croatia on a bus, thus the horrid blurriness. Even saw very faint and softly lit blue-neon lit lights also. Having lights and neon-lights as pillars & signage would be neat, or so I found. Too bad the image is blurry. I don't even know where this neon-lit mini-grocer is when heading from Croatia -> Yugoslavia -> Slovakia (Bratislava side).

I'm also posting this here because it has a large German following that may also - A) use this as inspiration in their builds B) Find this interesting because they love building their German styled builds C) Maybe even ID this damn mini-grocer with fancy lights in western Europe. I guess if you know where this is you can PM me if it's many months down the line or so with this post being that dated.

Hmm.....A witch being as rare as the ones in Minecraft, or those Phantoms at night in Dragon's Dogma, is the way to do it. One per world would be brutal. Maybe something like 1 every 10,000 KMs or something along those lines in whatever direction.

I approve of being able to be knocked out, but only with you able to fight back. Defeated by a witch should force you to be her familiar to work your way out of it through debt, or to fly/run far enough to revert by using a medicine. I'd be happy with this feature actually, reminding me of Skyrim in the process with the mod types. Also, sleeping near a witch hut (willingly, or unwillingly) should have a 20% chance of being 'captured' then turned into her familiar of whatever animal she chooses you to be with semi-supernatural abilities.

Also, sorry for the anime reference but my mind has been 'corrupted' by the deep-thinking Anime show of the seasons - "Maria The Virgin Witch" - that has me seeing Witches in a different light. I wonder what way these witches should go because the generic pointy "Wizard of Oz" types would irritate me now seeking more 'darker' German, even Anime, styled witches on a neutral-evil level.

If there is a 'tribal' Age in this game then I can see this being a thing. What would be better would be cutting off the heads of animals and mobs to make a trophy room in your main-base, or a "showcase" room. Even a museum. Doing it the Imperial British way of stereotypical hunters would be the way to do it, but with EVERY single animal, creature, and mob in the game.

I can actually see 'organic' blocks being a thing in RW, and not just as blocks. Drop mushrooms, meat, and anything should move around a little bit, more so when raw. Dropping squids and octopus should be more slippery, as would anything that you'd find squishy and such. Clouds I'd keep away from as that would simply turn into a small portion of water. Maybe 2% water in a cup when building skyscrapers.

This should be a fun little thought and experiment for Red. As for building material, should keep to bones and anything we would use to build as building material. Should stray as much from Minecraft as possible in a proper manner.

I know Vortac wanted to use this for his builds. I do know that I need them, as would others. I do hope Red chooses the types of hedges and detailed shrubs one would find in Europe. Would be a nice start there. But ya, this seems to be implied that it's somewhat high on the list that we'll see it. I need it so I can 'hide' the texture contrast collisions. Get that green thumb of yours ready
