A new update is now available, introducing fishing, climbing gear, clothes and more!
Latest hotfix: 0.8.5.3 (2025-05-09)

I'm sorry to hear that We're working on these issues. There were so many changes under the hood that some stuff apparently is still causing problems. All these issues should be sorted out very soon.

Neat. Glad to hear, yet that just goes to show how vast & beastly Rising World is. Well, hope it all works out in the end.

Also, attachment with all my sound stuff for Icon58, and maybe for Red51 to take a peak at. I however feel it's irrelevant. I feel bad for blue though because she (I think she's a she) keeps getting stuck in my world that you get frozen in place to then see down your player model's torso. It's what we had during the water update issues.

I"m at the point where I feel the game is unplayable for me because of the whole sound & soundmemory thing. I can't properly visit two of my settlements, nor travel too far or else the sound lags out, cuts out, and even makes annoying repeating sounds. I can play, but I'd have to stay confined to an area where I'll still feel 'trapped' that I feel it better to play other games for awhile. I'm hitting people's nerves that I feel I should give space as well by playing Ylands and such so people can do their thing.........

Also, yeah... I knew tanning rack racks removed stuff, yet bones and such? I still saw bones, skulls, and chests.

I feel the game is broken for me that I haven't been playing it after adding the features into the game that I feel sad. Blue managed to get stuck multiple times in the terrain having to relog.... So much lag and stuttering that it's near unplayable for us both. :(

Well, the sound issue from the beta is still within the game that it's now pestering me so much. It was fine on day 1, yet the longer I play the more I'm finding that it's hounding me because I'm now traveling around trying to visit my various settlements that it causes everything to lag out. The worst settlement for this sound issue & lagging is 'Brisko Village', my desert city. It's one of those you move and stutter, you move and starter.... Think of it like very 2nd second you lag that. I then tried running from the mid point of the work from halfway to the desert to my fort where the stuttering became far more noticable.

846 mb in sound memory. The first time when I visit Brisko you could hear a static 'pop' where I had to then restart my client as a whole. I traveled from my Fort to the desert city where once I loaded my settlement things went downhill.

The time now, reason why I'm posting this, I walked back to my fort where I can now no longer hear the footsteps, the furnace smelting my sulfur ore for dynamite, and such.... it's now almost at an unplayable state for me that I'm in a highly frustrated state right now. The sound memory, or whatever it may be, is killing the vibe for me. I also can't hear my dude eating watermelons. I can hear torches and such, but nothing else.

    --------

ALso, posters phase through walls that you can see them clearly phasing through my Canadian Tower & mini museum/Touristy center. You know about that one though, yet still noting it here......

    ---------------

This is the second time this has happened where the sound would stop where a certain sound effect would play..... Both in the beta & now. Now it's making the inventory item switch noise in repetition to eventually lead into a very weird sound of the mining drill. More 'ambient'.

Also, when you try and pick up the garden torch it says you can't, yet you still can when you press F again.

    .

Touched up on boats & horses in the main posting because of Achievement hunter desiring boats & horses for their 7 Days to Die session with how tedious traveling around is. They want other forms of transportation, and I don't blame them. In all honesty, most games needs them.

Also, a good game to keep your eye out on is Ylands with boats and such.

With what I'm hearing about boats for Rising World has my curiousity peaked up high. I'd love to see some teasers, or whatever.

    I must have missed this...........

I asked Red51 (and re-asking) if we could have the following:

    - Christmas tree recipe fixes for material changes + preview image of small, medium, and large. Proper material being asked for each Christmas tree.
    - Christmas trees to light up; change colours.
    - Christmas Hat + male & female Santa clothing (Don't be shy to go this route)
    - (bonus) Reindeer clothing for male & female. (At least the antlers & nose, and maybe the tail)
    - Decorational string lights (Christmas lights) that you can hang point to point. (Example 1) & (Example 2)
    - Snowman (decorational statue)

That should be simple enough, I hope.

    Posters:

I noticed that if you place a poster on a wall and then walk behind the wall. When you reach about 30 meters away, you can see the poster on the opposite side of the wall. Then if you walk closer again it disappears. There seems to be an exact distance when the poster switches to the other side of the wall.

I also have this issue that you can see posters poking through walls of any sort. In my desert city 'Brisko' you can see posters from my Canadian Tower & my mini museum/touristy center that it catches you off guard.

I also have this lag spike issue that I'm curious if it's Animal Breedmaster related, or if there's something horrible happening in my Brisko village. The more I analyze the more I believe it's purely sound because of how Red51 noted it was sound related in the beta. Something tried killing Blue in the pyramid, or so he claims. I can either send you the world, or you can visit my world as I guide you through there. Either or. I've noticed that the sound memory went up to 846 mb that it may or may not have something to do with it. As soon as my structures spawned the whole thing went to crap that it later knocked out all of my sound that I had to fully restart my client.

I personally don't have any issues with the stack sizes. Having played numerous sandbox games like Minecraft and such I learned to plan ahead that I'd focus on certain materials to then go to others, and etc. If I want stone I'd tune my inventory for stone mining, and etc. Keep specific tools for specific tasks and you'd be fine. Always carry bandages and splints though, as with food and a canteen (4 slots), PLus a pickaxe & torches (7 slots total). That's fine.

It may be an irritation, but that's why you also create barrels to place out in the field, or run home to quickly run back to it.

Also, you have to think about this in a bigger picture when we're to gain horses, camels, donkeys, boats, trains, cars, jeeps, and such. It makes sense. I kept hounding Red51 to add storage containers onto boats because of how painful it was to transfer goods from one place to the next in Minecraft. Mojang refused to listen to advice, something Red51 does. How we'll now have a way to transfer goods on boats, as well as horses with saddle bags, and such. Set up a nice train network once we get that also.

It does get irritating, yes, but that's why you plan ahead. Rising World is it's own unique game that it's still peaceful, yet you have to put some effort into the game so it doesn't play itself.

@ ArcticuKitsu I remember you had an issue with your computer when the last? update came out. Sadly the curse has been past to me... My video card is going out, it is under warranty but unfortunately I will not be able to see the silky smooth frames. So sad ;(;(

Wow, that's rough. I'm being paranoid right now with how touchy 2017 is right now. I'm not sure if I'm kicking the power cable here from when I had to pull my charger cable for my phone that it behaves funny when I nudge the power cable. Maybe that's it. I was trying to type a hide & pelt message on steam forum where my computer just randomly rebooted.

Computer problems aren't fun. I even had to replace an LG G5 battery by ordering a new one on Amazon. This year is stupid that I hope you don't get constant pains as I do. Well, hope you can get your video card fixed soon enough because this update is still quite fun. I wish you the best on repairing your computer.

Well I am still new to this forum, and to be honest my search skills (search bar syntax and so on) are not very good.
I was informed by other players that in the past they just "lost" items when changes have been made, so that is the majority of what I went on, after not being able to find definitive information about what you stated. Thanks for clearing the air.

Yeah, sorry for being harsh. It's hard handling my reaction with this flu that I feel horrible for "attacking" you there.

From what I've learned that if you know there's an update coming it's best to chest everything on display on the tanning rack & your inventory. I just found out I have invisible hide on the tanning rack I can highlight, yet can't reach. :whistling:

Edit: And now I can't get to the hides. They disappeared fully now it seems (from the tanning rack) that I'ma have to take advantage of the 'Animal Breedmaster' plugin.

    ------------------------------

    - I lost my hide on the tanning rack yet shall use 'Animal Breed Master' to get those back.
    - Inventory was wiped, yet thankful it was to restart from bottom up.
    - Sound of feet on wood is a bit weird, yet love how it goes quiet on stone.
    - New peaceful music added into the gaming library as background music. Nice!
    - When wearing a hat the avatar still loses his beard. Wish this was fixed.

Awesome! I'll have to properly play with this tonight or tomorrow after 5 pm est, yet I'm glad to see Nitrado updated the servers. I noticed my inventory has been wiped clean, yet shall take this as a challenge to work my way back up with whatever I have stockpiled in my online world. I can also hear the nice awesome new music that it sounds sweet.

RIP, my old inventory. It was for the best to gain the new full experience.

    I managed to find Scathach - https://bowlroll.net/file/143497 -
( copy 影の国 and paste it into DL Password text bar field)

I was given permission to use this model freely, yet need someone more skilled to check for rigging and to make it run in a program. It won't run in Blender. That's all I ask for both Bismarck & Scathach to be somehow compatible for Rising World. I won't ask for more, just these two.

    ---------

Edit: I had to edit out my other text yet added that I have permission + desiring both to be checked for rigging as staticmodels for Rising World; Later to be NPCs for Rising World.

Zombie must have been for the zombie dog + the whole thing about zombies being suggested & requested to be added in while others blindly shouted "NO!" of not having them in the game through pure fear. It's gets very touchy.

Pyramids are located in desert biomes so have fun finding those for now. There's abandoned cabins, records with music.... That's a nice start, I'd say. With the next update there'll be rare clothing you can only find in dungeons and such.

Red51 is trying, and I'm glad he is. There's been plans to add hidden urns into the ground you could dig to find to gain loot from them. He wants to tackle the world generation related content much later because of how it complicated it is and such that he'd much rather add a more basic foundation to the game on a survival level.

    He's trying.

The frames are so smooth now! Silky smooth! I love it! I can now see how fast I can run, and I love it!

I blame Daboiye because the moment he hopped on it crashed. Well, with the 20 seconds delay.

    -------------------

    - Clothing duplicate in inventory when you drag it back into the inventory. When you trash it both pants disappear from inventory. When you drop it and pick it up again it resyncs into one item again.
    - Character beards are invisible when you have a hat on.
    - Do not shoot your musket around elephants or you'll be trampled upon. I learned this the hard way.
    - I'm glad I can finally shoot moving targets! Yatta!~
    - I love how fast running is that i now have no gripes. It's silky smooth also (FPS).
    - I'd say musket balls should be 4-8 per one ingot. Somewhere around there......
    - Apparently when you travel to far, to an unloaded chunk, you gain the same issue as the water update spawn issue where nothing loads. I then was TP'd back to spawn where I was stuck, then gradually loaded higher up in the air where I eventually fell to my death. (Image below of me falling). A similar thing happened when I respawned from the bed where I floated half a meter up in the air.

We're also thinking about adding a special object dedicated for clothes, e.g. a wardrobe

Nice! Well, at least that's something. I can make use of that nicely, I hope. Curious to know if we'll be able to see what's inside, or similar.

I'll make sure that the santa hat will be ready in time for xmas

Sweet! Yeah, at least we'll have one thing themed to Christmas this time that is new. I'm happy

Also, any chance for the latest info on hotfix patches to see what's been fixed and etc? Or would that take away from all the patching and such? It's simply for curiousity side of things to see what works, what's new, and etc.

    Your speed*

    ------------

With the next hotfix, you will be able to craft clothes at the loom

Sweet! Looking forward to it hoping that everything shall play out smoothly. If we can, I'll see about making that Santa hat, unless it's still causing trouble. Can't wait to make them.

Sounds like a good idea, at least for the player corpse. For animals, we want to rework the gutting procedure anyway (getting rid of the stupid chest gui)

Yup. Just the player corpse because of how much we take on our person that it's a bit tedious for how we have to keep clicking to get them back. Chest gui eh? Oh, right. Let's see what you have planned for that. I'm now curious.
