Also, can we please enable (or re-enable) that feature where your compass can point you back to your bed and tent separately? That would make this update perfect then. With how far one can travel, thanks to maps, this would be much welcomed.

Yeah, that gold & silver needs to be scaled WAY down, more so when you have all those pyramids in the area. You can cheat so easily with that. Stone chests....I counted roughly 10-15, and that's fine for how neat they are. I also agree that these mazes should have more rooms, maybe with some symbolic images on them, or something. Basically things to spice things up.
Happy to hear ghosts being rementioned because it brings back an old thought about having ghosts in graveyards to spook you, or ghosts coming from corpses to haunt you. Having an angry ghost in mazes would be neat that you would simply keep it at bay with torches.
Also, bears needs to be tweaked to be less hostile.....Always attacks on sight when they should be more....'curious'. They should stalk you a bit, then attack you if they find something delicious on you.

Actually this wasn't intended... that's why I'm always afraid of world conversions
Hope my wording didn't throw you off. I have both a server world while also making the same seed as a singleplayer test world to see what changed, and to use it to 'predict' where the other biome related stuff is at. Seeing as how I don't have Admist for Rising World I have to do the next best thing of spawning a singleplayer world that I saw how much one world changed. I'm amazed with how much one simple coding changed everything.
What you should be afraid of is me losing one (or maybe even a few) of my surface dungeons. As glitchy as they were, they were a nice landmark structures that your coding somehow fixed on its own. RIP, surface dungeons
The pyramids seem to be buggy... they're supposed to align to the terrain properly, I think they need more attention
Yup, so I noticed. They're a nice addition, and I'll see about colonizing it on my survival world now after seeing them on my test world. It's still something I would love to claim. Hoping to see how you'll tweak/polish the pyramids, and such.
Yeah that's true, the dungeon loot is still boring and sometimes quite useless. I think we will get some new items for the dungeons with the playermodels update And in the medium run, we also want to put some unique items in the dungeon chests^^
Nice! Well, it's an update I shall happily anticipate so we can have fun with it. More loot, clothing, customization, and even the unique trophy styled loot that people shall tend to treat them as. This shall be awesome. Should be obvious that I shall be looking forward to, and being curious, as to what your unique dungeon loot shall be.
ANy more updates now, or are we going straight to the player models & animation update now? Shall be sweet.

So the label still stays active if you move your mouse over the label and press your DEL key?
I managed to get it to select and delete now, yet it needs some sort of prompt to notify you that you have selected it, and such. Managed to delete all the stray markers. More keep popping up because my mouse is broken.
I did not enable the "troll-mode" purposely
HilariousYour game is just that much of a beast, eh? Well, at least the errors are sorting themselves out gradually. Bugs itself out once then it just sorts itself out somehow.
------
As awkwardly odd as that was, I guess everything somehow (mysteriously) sorted itself out. I'm baffled by that, yet thankful it self-mended itself. With my sunday being free I can finally expand northward to see what sort of adventure I get myself into, and if I can get into desert country with pyramids.
-
Seems like this game has some sort of caching problem, or something. I'm now relieved my hemp grew as hemp that it feels like it bugs out once, then it somehow straightens itself out after having bugged itself. It's something like it has something bad in its system that it then causes one thing to bug out, then it's fine from then on after having 'puked' it out, or something.
My hemp is hemp, and I'm happy. That's another thing checked off the list.
I'll reconfirm the map thing later tonight.
-
That seems to be a common trend that things bug out, then it somehow straightens itself out when you report them on the forum that it even baffles Red51.

Wow.... The changes to the world generation using the 'ArcticuValley' seed sure changed a hell of a lot. There's some things that stayed normal, yet it's as if I progressed a few 1000 years into the future (or the past) where there's now ponds in my mountain, as well as oceans turning to grassy land, and a snowy biome popping up where a coastal (semi-tropical, yet not) used to be. Trying to find a desert heading north is an issue. Going at 400% speed has the world generation being slow. Map can't keep up also.
What used to be a very grassy & hilly place turned into a simple grasslands. No more of the swampy 'rocky shield' of ONtario or Ireland type scenery. I wish we had Admist. program that would read from a seed instead, predicting how it would appear with 1% misreads, but that's just me being spoiled by Minecraft modding.
-------------
Edit:
Well, a lot has changed and I seem to like it. I however now need to do testing with it on my own world as a great deal has changed. Biomes were swapped out that I need to go back to draw out my map so I can see what's changed, and if it's 'better', or properly arranged. I need to find a desert and such on my server.
Also, loving the pyramid. It makes me proud of the pyramid I built before, something I should build again. If I could suggest something is to make the pyramid sit properly with the terrain that it should probably go lower with those edges. You can see the flat edge block that it just goes 'meh'. Needs more polish. Love how you have to smack your way in, plus how the stone chests look.Glad you can pick those up. You can easily get lost that I recommend using wooden pointy signs to get back. I found many pyramids together that they need to probably be bunched up, or something.
I now need to colonize/claim one for myself, as well as seeing others doing the same. Was a bit disappointed that it's only gold & silver. Could use more bones & bandages.
-------------
@zfoxfire is that I remember having a very massive & mountainous desert biome that I want to see that one again. It had a nice dwarfed 'red rock' mountain feel to it that I would love to see that again. I'll be exploring now on my main server world. Auto-run is needed for the long distance travel.

Sorry, I forgot one more thing.
Having played Minecraft heavily I loved the whole open world freedom of it, something Rising World now has and in greater detail. I love how you can mine up your resources, go anywhere, do anything, something Rising World does better in areas. I respect Minecraft because it allowed me to get in touch with building, surviving, exploring, and everything inbetween. I can't just shun it, even having played it. Minecraft is a neat game you should play just so you're familiar with it on the survival side of things (without complaining it's tedious). Everything on the basic level is what makes Minecraft fun. The whole mining, farming, and surviving. It's however "too blocky" for my taste when you want to add in appliances and character customizations. I'm having my itches to play Minecraft again, but this time on the Nintendo Switch. It seems my desire to shelf Minecraft is struggling, even though I know Mojang to be sloppy developers not really caring what the community thinks.
What Minecraft lacks is Rising World's greatness.
Basically.......Food, water, surviving, posters, building, planks, crafting stations, interactive crafting station, and such surpasses Minecraft. Even how the underwater portions has some form of sea life, as with ruins in the water. How you can cook your food, how you craft, harvest food, and such. (and anything I mentioned above. There's just way too much).
If we can gain those bandits, raiders, and pirates then we'll surely be in an awesome place with Rising World. What Rising World needs though is actual books that obeys the rules of bookshelving, boats, submarines, scuba gear, trains, horses, and such. Some of those are actually coming, while others are more on the fence as we wait. We even need the rivers, swamps, jungles, more desert, and such to be added into the game.
-
I have to note the music also when it comes to underground, as well as the few new BGM types for the surface. I believe I heard the new one that came with the map update. And yes, I love how the textures readjust to make it look natural. There's just lots to this, as well as the rock crusher to make gravel, as well as the loom, the hide display to make leather, and such. It's all awesome, I love it.
-
- Weather: it's nicely done with how it has overcast, rain, heavy rain, and thunder. Even that fog that rolls in with multiple levels. The white snowy fog is something you should naturally experience in the game, as with the morning after a freezing rain event causing the area to be misty foggy shiny white.
- Lakes: these are by far the best biome in the game. It has that nice attention to detail that you can get coves, bumpy edges, and neat views out of it when paired up with pine forests. Quite a beautiful bumpy biome.
- Gramophone with how you can now collect music while also having a wider variety to them. Just love how you can listen to the older versions of the free royalty music, such as the 'Flight of the Valkyrie'. It's one of those tracks I want to re-obtain in my multiplayer world.
- Torches & Lights: How you can hold a torch that it lights up everything around. As you move, so does the light. It's the best feature. When you go underwater anything that's fire dims out.
It's the level of passion behind everything that makes everything stand out in realism and awesomeness. I love it. The building complexity, the food, the thirst, survival aspect. The whole 'Skyrim' take to it in a Minecraft manner.

Alright, from the little bit I could play tonight I can now post that
1) Canteen bug: It was just a stubborn beginning. Not sure what it was, yet shall play it off as a proximity thing. I tried replicating it at empty & 5%...used ponds and such, yet it filled every time now. Not sure what that was about.
2) I'm now growing hemp again (16) after having gained a lot from a nearby swampy pine forest. It's a mix of pine & lake that it comes off as swampy to me. Needs more of these biomes. Also, view below image as proof. It should be: Hemp, corn, Sugar beet. We'll see what the result shall be in the morning. My farm seems to have a habit of growing things prior there that it may need to be looked at in archived data logging in chunks, or however it works. It might be referencing back to something in cache.
3) Maps has a labeling issues that anything you placed on it simply stays. You can't click on an old icon to 'Del' it. Do note the blue two houses to the left, the
at the top where the red dot is marking ore, and some odd ones in places. (view below image).
Also, RIP Surface dungeon. I just didn't have time to check if it was back there or not as I now feel I'm being trolled somehow. Game probably trolling me.

So far. There are slight plans to make them harvest able the more we desire to have these collected. Currently no way to collect them.
-----
It would make sense to so we can use them as decoration. Do note that Hogweeds are notiriously evil plants that you DO NOT want to touch them in real life. They're very vicious plants that they invade every landmass, and that if you see them you should report them to your city to remove them. They'll cause your skin to be all damaged that you won't be able to go into sunlight for a few years because of it; Having to keep the skin covered.
If Red51 wants to add that sort of effect onto our character then it be recommended to stay clothed at all times (wearing protection), or to simply harvest/destroy these when able.
As for Nettle....Something I have to Google.
-
No, you can leftclick on them and then press "delete". But sometimes you have to click directly in the middle of the sign or maybe try it different times, but you don't need to name them to delete them.
As mentioned in my posting I'm aware of how to do such, yet it's a tedious process. It becomes more of an issue when you have a broken mouse (from all the stone digging in both Minecraft & Rising World) that one click tends to double-click that dragging labelings and confirming such would be safer. Yes, I need to get a mouse, and yes, thanks for the tip.
Yeah, it would just be safer to have something you could drag while dragging the map as you do already.

- Red51's Tribute Tower [0.8.2] - [Daboiye's build]:
I was both surprised and impressed with what Daboiye built on the server over in 'Sierra Ridge' with it paying respect to Red51. He made a nice circular build (a mini tower) dedicated to our all mighty god - Red51 - who truly knows what our community wants, giving us our desired features in each and every update. Every time I pass this building I'm in awe of its beauty as it also commands respect. It also has a nice statue of Red51 (the only available statue) to pay respects to the almighty Red51!
My suggestions to Daboiye is to eventually swap out that statue for something else. Granted, I could probably import another statue via a plugin. Could eventually add in little decorations dotting the ground relating to Red51. Eastereggs, or whichever. Both a tribute, as well as a shrine. A temple to worship Red51 in jest, yet still respectfully. Curious to see if this shall be updated with time as it's tweaked in various ways.
Nice one!

Alright, I guess I'll list the issues here from 0.8.2 I find here.....Finding quite a few that I now have to make a thread.
[Multiplayer issues]
1) - Canteens refuse to fully refill. (need to test this further, yet they wouldn't when I played last night).
2) - Hemp plant doesn't grow as hemp. It turns into cotton that it it frustrated me that I now have to go back into bear & boar country to harvest more later tonight running the risk of it turning into cotton again.
3) - I guess I'll treat this as a confirmation that the dungeons exposed on the surface have been fixed, yet that made me sad as I lost it. This one is ignorable, yet treating it as worthwhile knowledge. Need to find time to check if dungeons are still present in the world.
4) Map Marker sensitivity. To me, I feel there needs to be a dragging of the icons onto the map instead of placing it. Some kind of confirmation because you can easily screw up, struggling to delete the markers also. Struggling to select them to delete. You first have to name them to then go back and delete them. Too fiddly. The markers need a drag & drop function to them, yet keep the icons, colours, and text portion.
......... I may list more when I find them.
-
Alright, I'm thinking of allowing one or two more people to come onto the server, yet you must be well known in the community. If you're interested you must be well known to others as there's been cases of trolls stirring up more trouble whenever things becomes to fun & popular. Blame them for this tedious screening process. To join, just share me some images (in general on the forum), some people could then vouch for your maturity, and then I'll consider adding you onto the server.

- [0.8.2 Map Update]:
Loving this new map update that it now motivates you to go exploring without being lost. YOu can also gain a grasp of how your world appears as you explore, yet wishing for a wider version of the map. If possible, to even export the map to be an image to be sharable on forums & such. Surprised Red51 added the map in sooner than later with how complex it was made out to be, yet glad it's now in that it's very helpful. Even happy that I can now grow corn because it's in season and it's something I always enjoyed. It now (or always has) 1-upped Minecraft in the food variety range.
- Image 1: Corn found just in front of Daboiye's warehouse. Easy find! They also can be found in that lush biome.
- Image 2: Paper press is a nice addition. Love how I can make up to 1 to 4 paper pieces, yet the water process may need some tweaking. For water we may need a rain barrel to properly pull from, or some liquid storage container.
- Image 3: Loving the new map as you can see the small preview of the 'Outter Mountain Bowl' & 'Sierra Ridge' on the map. 'Mountain Bowl' is still just off the map. Been having fun exploring the world thanks to this.
- Image 4: While exploring I even found (with Daboiye) an abandoned shack. It however was a stupid one where I couldn't loot from it. No music discs....At that point I wish we had wandering NPC traders.
- Image 5: The new growing corn field with a touch of sugar beets. There's a bug where hemp grows as cotton. Thanks for the update! Thanks to it, I'm now wanting to play for that little while longer as it re motivates.

Personally I've started a few new worlds and flew around at max speed for a while and was unable to find a desert. The beaches seems to be shaped a little better. Instead of being a large circle of water in a square of sand, they seem to have more variation in how the beach is shaped. i even found one where part of the beach obtruded out into the ocean a bit. i'd love to see sea rocks do that instead but its a step in the right direction.
I found one pyramid in a pre-discovered desert on my server . There was just a stone chest below a passage underneath. I haven't found a maze yet. Personally i was hoping the pyramids would vary in size. But its good that we finally have a "surface" category of dungeon. I'm assuming the pyramid is of that category. I'd still love to eventually find a surface entrance to an underground dungeon spawn.I know that the plan is to make all the really nasty and dangerous stuff underground and just hostile animals and human NPCs and the environment to deal with above ground. So if we choose to go underground there's greater risk with greater reward. But it would be nice if on rare occasion a surface entrance was visible to an underground dungeon to sort of lure those of us not up to the task of spelunking. I remember hearing that dungeons are planned to eventuall go super deep. Perhaps a "surface to hell" super dungeon could be a new dungeon type which would also be an option in the world creation options. This dungeon would be massive and have the strongest of enemies and descend to hell from the surface.
Speaking of, I really hope we get ropes and anchors soon so we can go spelunking. Maybe after the player models this will come since we can have some sort of rope climbing animation.
I'll have to take a look into the world generation by generating a new world map. I really want a desert closer than 8000 m, and to see the new ocean layout. From what you're saying Red51 covertly tweaked the coding of my complaint to make oceans more like the lakes. I'm however saddened I lost the landmark structure of a dungeon peaking out from the ground, yet glad it was fixed. Sad it's gone because I wanted to explore it, yet happy it's now patched.
I need to go back and look for chili. That's the only thing I'm missing. Seen loads of nettle, hogweeds, and cotton. Even found hemp, something we needed while also being appropriate for 4/20 day that I'm now growing that. Growing hemp, corn, and sugar beets. Just need chili.
I need to find a desert to see the pyramid. I was too busy being in survival mode being re-motivated to try and build again. Wanting to build a fort and such again. We really needed this update to add onto things.
Again, I'm surprised that Red51 added in maps because it was made out to be more complex than it sounded. He deserves high praise here for such that it makes navigating easier. People shall be less lost now heh. That, and CORN! I have my corn! Things can now be quite corny on my server! Funny how I also get corn on the day I see corn being sold on 4/20. It's in season that I shall be farming a whole lot of corn.
We still need surface entances that I guess pyramids are a prototype for that with what Red51 mentioned of them being connected with mazes. If he can do more of that then we'll have nice explorable places. Makes me wonder how it shall all pan out when we get the actual world with a 1-world ocean.
Rope & anchors need to happen, even if the anchor is just a decoration. I'll be making an anime themed memorial for mine. If I can place anchors on display that would be welcomed. Ships could come after. Having variations to these anchors would be sweet as well in both commercial and military. Having them treated the way they are in Wurm Unlimited would be sweet to keep your boat stationary (locked into place) so the winds of the world wouldn't blow them away. The current, or whatever Red51 is planning.
I'm continuously being surprised by Red51's update. Such a nice feeling.

What an awesome update. I love it!
- The map is awesome. I love how it can be zoomed out and scrolled with. Because my mouse is broken it tends to double click (planning to get a new mouse) which opens up the thought that labeling should be dragged, confirmed, named, and such. Good start, yet more polish. Surprised with the type of map it is. Desiring that we could zoom it all out, plus have a map that's revealing in a more 'widescreen' manner, not just a standard 'square' shape.
- Loving the corn. First thing I found that I'm now happily growing it. Love it! It's also in season.
- Sugar beets have been found, and planted. Thanks to that I also found hemp on my world. Looking for chili, yet amused by the presence of both Hogweed and Nettle. Mostly Hogweed that they should be bunched up more, more intrusive and such. Wish we could harvest them in an attempt for decoration.
- Loving the paper press that it has a nice multi-layered step to it. Glad I can create 4 paper at once using wool and cloth. Even water. I'll have to re-arrange my builds just for it, or dedicate a building just for it.
- I can't really tell, yet somewhat testing out if biome arrangement has been appropriately tweaked. Found a an abandoned cabin in hops of stumbling across a desert for goodies. Wishing I had auto-run for how tedious the running is per distance.
--------
Bug wise.......
- Canteens won't fill up fully. They're stuck at 10% fullness
- You fixed the dungeons somehow that it removed the exposed dungeon top from my world. Unsure if all dungeons are removed, yet shall have to go back underground to confirm if still there, or just that one dungeon. RIP, surface exposed dungeon. I actually miss my surface exposed dungeon that I wanted to show a buddy it. It was a landmark, and it's now gone. RIP.
I can't wait to play more. It's fun again that I jsut want to keep exploring and having fun. Fun stocking up on new goodies while making use of existing stuff.

Another vital suggestion is a new glass pane. We need one for use in skyscrapers and other modern-looking buildings. The current IDs are good, but we are lacking a smooth, high-gloss, or just a darker one. The "normal" glass ID is too see-thru, it doesn't really work for skyscrapers bc you can see right through and doesn't look like a actual wall.
I agree. I would also love coloured stained ones, similar to what Minecraft has. You see buildings with blue tint to it, yet other colours would be sweet as well for the creative folks.
-
True that! it is indeed our world, and we can do whatever we want with it. We can already do so much by fiddling with the filters, the options, world generations, and etc. We'll, be also be able to do so, so, so MUCH more with this game that it's making us horribly impatient to see what Rising World shall be on the flip-side.
This is also why I try to steer away from linear game as they tend to make things feel claustrophobic. Rising World is as open as you'll get, and who knows....maybe someone shall use Rising World to improve their game, just as Rising World is doing with Minecraft heh.
Also, we can mod the game in far more detail and strength than Minecraft. Maybe not equally yet, but it will give you many MANY options later. You could even have those 'assault rifles' that was desired long ago, among other things. Even +18, anime related things, other game things, and etc. Rising World is YOUR world, do what you want with it.
