Yeah, Red51 did play around with the idea, just that it didn't seem appropriate. Costs, and all that. I guess I should just lean it to what Fox said.

- Rising World - Niska Village: [0.7.4]: Ep 8: Pyramid Dungeon Hype!
FINALLY! After much delays, distractions, hardware issues, and such I'm finally making more videos in Rising World. Improved my home a bit, replaced the posters, added some lights, touched up the medical clinic some more, as well as started building a typical pyramid in hype for the dungeons update coming out soon (around the corner). I wanted to build something I've done in Minecraft, yet done so in a Rising World touch, and would have completed in a video or two.
My issues for not recording being the following: 1) Patriot Hard drive died in November, thus me getting a Samsung SSD - 2) KanColle Autumn event - 3) Euro Truck Sim 2 re-establishment - 4) Software issues & regaining lost programs.
You'll notice 8 minutes of weird video errors. That's because 'Openstop' hates .flv (Windows Movie maker loves them), yet OpenStop likes .mp4s from OBS, yet hates .flvs. You'll see improvement as we head closer towards dungeons release, then player models & animations.
I'm also 99 subscribers on my channel, heading to 100! Be amusing. Forgot to note that in this video, yet shall note that in the next video. Video software made me forget. Thanks for watching my videos, yet my Episode 0 to episode 6 needs more love.

Plugin subforum: Plugins
Static Model PLugin: StaticModels
As been mentioned, go look in your main steam directory of Rising World, make a 'plugins' folder, then dump static models into there, and follow the instructions on how to import models.
------------
I've been searching, yet I would really love it if I could add in the Bismarck WW2 ship model into my game. I don't care if it's a scale model, or 1:1 (better if it's a scale model on a desk) to proudly display. I don't mind if it's even as big as a basic shelter, or 20 blocks wide. I tried searching for a Bismarck model in a .model format, yet still too ignorant to deal with it properly.

- We really do need better lighting and shadows, yet that's something that shall come in time. I'm patient.
- Sound effects for a saw bench, and variations to them would be neat. Yeah.
- Water for crops is important, and should be a part of the growth time. Watering crops should keep them healthy, and even reduce wait times at times. The more you water them in a moderate level the better the yielding should be.
- Animal packs & groups should be a thing with the AI being reworked. Shall come in time. I truly want to see birds taking to the sky, among other things flying & grouping together.
- Birds are a must. I told Red51 he needs to populate the sky, and hope he does.
- Bows & arrows, yup. Having feathers is something I'm curious about with how mass-produced they'll be, or if they'll be wood related items only. Even curious if we can have faked silky'cloth types.
- Degradable tools is something we truly need so we can keep the cycle continuing. It would give reason to keep resource harvesting, repairing, and etc.
- Yup! Mountains do need to be snow-capped. -
Yeah, I wouldn't care what DX they use, or what method. The game is still fun, and I'm still feeling highly impressed over what I've seen in the game. Everytime I go trucking I keep thinking "I wonder if Rising World shall have this kind of quality", or when I see a train if I can zip around the map nicely in a similar style. I wouldn't care less about the graphics since it still looks awesome and you can do necessary stuff needed. These games & Rising World have similar type appearances that I can't help but imagine how I could play Rising World with those assets. If I will even be able to truck my supplies around the Rising World map in a similar style, minus the cash.
1) Yeah, I guess that would be an issue if you wanted to truck around in real time. I guess you could make a truck mod in X PLanes 11, but it won't be the same. They had to do something more reasonable which would hit a bigger crowd & market. I'm fine with 1:20, yet it made Bratislava appear weird. They learned their mistake for ATS, and glad they did.
2) Yeah, that's a thing that my friend complained about that he's now a rich kid trucking around wishing to spend it on things. He bought trucks, accessories, truck bases, and such that he only joins me on multiplayer to explore. I've been thinking that having a home to expand (Tower Unite style) would be neat. A trophy room, personal cars, and all that lovely stuff. It be neat to have what you mentioned.
3) I had a few crashes thanks to them. The new toll booths in France.....You'll hate the pathfinding on them as they aggressively merge acting as if you're not there......Zipping in front of my truck......I once had a major crash near Poland thanks to one guy cutting into my lane with me smacking into him for how suddenly he merged. That jackass..... You also tend to get trapped at a truck stop when trying to head back to Tucson from Sierra Vista. Good luck getting out in morning rushhour........
4) The 'no hired drives' on the road was my major pet peeve, and I guess it still is. I would love to see my hired truckers driving across Europe & America in some manner as I've also once gave them customized trucks. I have to rehire them again on my new saved profile restarting my progress from scratch again. I wish I could have seen them driving around, honking at me in greetings to make me aware of their presence. Just.....Add in the ability to see them, to wander, or to have the ability to walk around the trucking bases's meeting area so you can see them. More 'immersion', and such. Now that you brought this back up I'm now pissed off again I can't see them.
---------
The trolls of SCS Software blogging comments made me aware of another trucking game that I'm assuming is to show how ETS2 & ATS should look in quality, yet the textures are "too clean". Maybe they're in higher bloom, yet I'm not impressed. Where's the gameplay? Where's the fun? Stop trolling.
On The Road - The Real Truck Simualtor:
https://www.facebook.com/OTRtherealtrucksimulator/
It's nice that SCS has a competitor, yet the textures need to be deepened more.
I can't wait to explore France!
-
I'm still happy with the 1:20 scale. It beats 1:30 scale going on that I'm highly amused by it in Euro Truck SIm 2. Nice being able to cruise across Europe in 3 hours (Bratislava to Calais) that it be neat to eventually go into Spain, as well as Croatia. I'm hoping Croatia shall make it into the game for when I was in Tucepi back in 2008.
I'm going to assume that either Italy or Spain shall be next. After that, it should nudge its way into Croatia, Romania, and all those places. Slovenia also. Shall be awesome making our way all around Europe. I'm glad we have the "Going East' for expanded Slovakia, something I enjoyed a lot while discovering new roads still. Even enjoying Scandanvian DLC a lot for how lush & detailed that place is. Sweden is my favourite place, as with Norway. Heavily detailed areas, nice roads, nice highways, and interesting designs. Oslo has nice tunnels.
France DLC is up next that my hype is real for France:
V1.26 remade & touched up existing France locations, even redoing Paris that I'm assuming the rest of it shall be done in a DLC. Calais was nice, as was the road to Poissy. Even Paris itself with a nice bus stop area which should open up ways for a bus DLC or bus mod-pack.
People claim that ETS2 is a junk game because SCS software won't update to DX11, as well as being ugly, low res game, and all that stupid tantrumy spoiled manner. Sorry, but they're a piece of crap with the games being awesome. I see nothing wrong, no wrong textures. It's a proper awesome game (with ATS) that people are just whiny tantruming idiots. I love France! You can see how awesome it is in Euro Truck.
-----------
I tried to loosely find out where Red51 is based, yet it's not on the map. I stopped at Osnabruck, yet the place mentioned on Red51's site or something is simply a roadway, not place on the map. A shame. If he has an actual city listed on ETS2's map I'd purchase a base in Germany. Annoys me Wilhelmshaven isn't on there either for Silent Hunter 3 vibes. That bugs me. Even trying to find out if I can purchase a base for Uboot (movie) with U-96 being based in France, yet that's also not on the map. I'm annoyed.....Three connections with no place to buy places in ETS2's world
I'll be happily trucking though.........
[Images below: Me & my truck in southern Sweden; France V1.26 update with a Czech plane on the airport runway bridge around Paris; A bus station in Paris allowing for bus mods & DLC; A map of current Europe in ETS2 before my trip to Paris from Calais. More France shall be explorable December 5th onward.]

The thought of stumbling across an abandoned village would be interesting, if spooky. One would start imagining what may have happened to them, even gaining weird vibes of how old the planet is, or how recent or old the site is. There could be variations to such (maybe not at start) of just foundations with it being either clean or grown over, or even having foundations with some walls still around.
It's hard to gauge what Red51 has in the game with dungeons as it may simple be simple, or it may be a lot. It's had to tell. Biomes & water was still simplistic in other people's viewpoints that it just may still be the same 3 to 4 related content. Might just be bug fixes and such that's stalling it out. It's hard to say, yet I want to say there's more than what we know for how long it has been going on.
I'm painfully curious now that I'm having 'free time' again. I'd love to jump back into Rising World hoping that we even have pyramids in there, somewhere. I'd love to build one, or few, for whenever I can record videos again (stupid hard drive crash).
-
why would Red51 be going crazy to play with dungeons? He and Wavshapr are playing with them right now for testing purposes. Boy am I jealous. I wish I could just get a peek of whats going on over there
You should have read that as me & Foxfire, not Red51. I watched a 2 hour video of Uno made by Roosterteeth on video under the 'letsplay' channel. 2 hours of madness and became very late at night. Now, reword what you said about how you feel crazy that you have to distract yourself, as I am with various other games -
Me & Foxfire can agree on one thing that we're both going crazy wanting to play with the dungeons update. I'm being forced to play Euro Truck SIm 2 whiel ALSO waiting for the France DLC to release, as well as the rescale update for American Truck Sim. I'm also done with my KanColle game event that I have time again, yet can't play with the dungeons update. Damn it!
Please! Please release on either Tuesday or Wednesday. If not then, then sometimes after 1 pm EST on Friday or Saturday on either 8th, or 9th......Yes, it'll release when it's ready, yet I can at least beg a little, right?
[Edit: Typod. I meant to type Foxfire, not Red51. Late night watching a Roosterteeth made 2 hour Uno video.]

Glad there's a few things we can look forward to with what you mentioned.
- Horses: I really need them, and hope we can tame them before riding them. That, and having a first set of customisation options for them with armor customization, and such. They'll be big use for transportation hauls. That, and I'm hoping Red51 managed to make note of what I said about giving horses a similar behavior to what it's like in 'Mount & Blade: Warband' for progressive motion. That, and being able to set a speed to keep it at that speed. The horse would auto-run for you at a set speed. There's lots I want to do with a horse. It'll be our main mode of transportation. Hoping it'll eat grass whenever it's hungry, and drink water whenever thirsty. Camels & Donkeys shall be bundled with horses.
- Tea: This shall be a fun one as it can also act as a medicine to keep you both warm, and your stomach calm. Should be interesting seeing it implemented in a way that drinks are also treated in 'Animal Crossing: New Leaf', in that you can drink from a cup in sips while holding the drink in front of you, or placing it down on a table. Looking forward to focusing on green tea.
- Farming Crops: There'll obviously be more crops and such. Corn, wheat, among numerous others. Shall be an interesting thing to deal with, more so when you can interact with NPCs & merchants to do trade, or have your farm stock raided.
- Kitchen Appliances: Those would be handy. Hoping Red51 shall aim for the Ikea type appearances that we'll be able to live like modern humans. Tower UNite is a neat game to be inspired by appliances also.
------
What you haven't mentioned is the hype for dungeons coming soon....Hopefully. I'm being highly impatient now that I have time for Rising World. I want to go explore in the dungeons while wishing for NPC followers to join me in the update after, or after that. The next two updates bundled together shall be a big ting as I wish & hope to have NPC followers naturally spawned in (no creative) that I can also have them follow me around, and etc. Even on horse back. That, and waiting on gravel to be mass produced so we can make actual roadways without relying heavily on blocky roadways.
There's lots of ideas & potential.
-
Wasn't expecting it anytime soon either. Was expecting it 'maybe' lightly during or after the player models & animations update, or maybe even further when the idea would fade out in nothingness. More so in fear that nobody really is in tune with feeling/vibe of the idea that it's twice as ignorable, and etc. I see this as a later thing, yet still an idea to play around with and make note of.
Yeah, I guess the book part would be simple, yet spawning entities would be highly limited right now, indeed. I guess you could spawn little piggies, or whichever. Having them stored back in the book for transport is what I'm curious about that it's keeping this (probably silly) idea going. Even thinking it may make room for a Pokemon mod if one makes Pokeballs & such.
And I guess I should have made note that this isn't an anime idea only, but also Guild Wars, World of Warcraft, and etc. It's just easier to make note of Anime because that's where I"m seeing it expanded properly the most. Most familiar with.
-------------------
Something I forgot to mention that this idea/function needs to feel highly personal that the entity you end up having (maybe my fox character, or someone else's NPC preset or modded NPC) should feel highly personal to the character. It could be random, yet has to feel like your traveling companion for life, Skyrim style, or something. The VERY imporatn part is that it should be limited to 1 entity per 1 character (maybe even 3, if picky about preferences). Shouldn't be able to gain more than one or else it'll lose its worth & value as a thought when it should be more personal. One entity to make it more personal and deeper valued. A 'special' thing to have. That's how I feel it should be.
- Back to Rising World Vanilla:
My secondary curiousity is if there's a way Red51 could play with this in any way by simply giving us a vanilla type item to allow for spawning, storing, and transporting entities in a 'magical' manner. Not expecting it, yet it would be highly welcomed. I'd be surprised if he did play with the idea to attach pre-set NPCs for NPC Traders to be spawned via items in vanilla form via griomoire, jewlry, books, scrools, or something. Doesn't have to attach entities/NPCs because that would be our thing. If he indeed does want to play around with the idea of also attaching entities to said item (Grimoire, scroll, or whichever) then I guess he can attach it to mini-bosses to be capturable, or whichever, yet we would be stuck with one (per limit) for the rest of the game world to have a more 'personal' vibe to it. Maybe 2 or 3 on a timer, or rarity. But yeah, I guess the Plugin API is the way to go with this.......
-
I guess this shall be a modding things seeing as how there are people unwilling to see confined zombies in an area, fantansy, magic, & etc. No hostile entities, among other things, even if there's options for filters. Even so, I feel amused playing around with the idea of having a 'grimoire' type item which summons a rare, yet fun (not powerful) entity which would do as it wills quarter of the time. Or maybe modded entities (NPCs) of your design & such using default animations, and etc. Maybe even help you, or whichever.
I'm basically thinking of a fun anime named 'Trinity Seven' (mature themed) where there was a necklace type grimoire you could hang from your arm (yet still a book) which would allow the ability to summon a random (or specific) entity from said little grimoire to spawn said entity into the world. It's just one of those side amusement things where the NPC within said 'book' could assist with chopping trees, combat, exploration, finding stuff, or hold randomized witty lines to be amused by. That, or have them play out some piano inspired (yet more flute or something) type music.
--------
- Basic Thoughts:
Me simply being curious if it is, at all, possible to have a book/scroll/tome/grimoire type object being able to summon NPC type entities (preferably anime/fatansy type NPCs), have them able to roam about, and then returnable (transportable) via said book. That's as basic as I can make it sound.
Context: https://myanimelist.net/character/114059/Sora (Magical spirit summoned from a magical grimoire being the aid to a magic user.)
--
- Expanded Thoughts:
Being able to make use of said NPC by having them assist you via combat, chopping trees, help you find items in an area (exploration), craft various things, among other things. Half a slave NPC, yet being able to have a will of its own in an artificial manner. Maybe jump out of the 'grimoire' to do things on its own to then jump back in, or bother you with its sass & witty comments. To be able to tend to your wounds when injured (when no hostiles are in the area) by applying splints, among other things.....Maybe if it feels like fishing it would pop out to go fishing before rushing back to you, or vanish into the book item again.
Another thing being able to have the item displayed proudly on a table, bookshelf, or similar as to not devalue the worth & value of said feature/idea.
It would also tie in with me being able to summon my arctic fox original character with ease (named Vara) that I could just fiddle with a few lines, customisation options and such. Make it pull from a customized character then I could have my special NPC follow me.
---
- Rising World Vanilla Location & Loot:
If one would have to try & tie this "silly", and maybe "alien" idea (not alien to me), then I guess one could find it in a dungeon with a mini-boss being able to be 'tamed' after defeat. If picky about rarity then maybe find it roughly 5,000 km away to then discover a specific dungeon to then, at a chance, being able to have them being able to be summon able. Whatever their humanoid, monster, or alien form they may be, they could be 'recruitable'. The cost to having this could then be having to keep them fed, well hydrated, next to a certain tree, and etc.
I had a side thought this could also allow one to find 'empty' types which could tie into summoning modded NPCs (or NPC presets choosable) to be summoned via a scroll, tome, grimoire type object.....If festive, tie it to Halloween type festivities. Summon some Halloween themed festive ghouls, or something.
-------------------------------
I guess this is asking way too much, and a silly "non realistic" one at that, thus modding. I wouldn't be bothered if this wasn't in, yet if it adds to the whole fun of Rising World then I'd happily go for it. Higher priority if it's anime/fantasy related while having a companion next to me. Seeing as how people don't want magic & fantasy I guess this isn't an option to pursue. I would love to see this idea realised, yet I currently don't have the knowledge/talent to see it through. May have to see the player model & Customization update, as with NPCs added...........
-
Love the sounds of this so I guess I'll just be patient. I'll have to take it easy on the posters then while also being happy at the sounds of saving specific worlds. Nice.
-
Hmm....I wish that would carry over with the Steam cloud saving....And yeah, I also now have a Samsung SSD because that stupid Patriot made me furious enough that I wanted to switch to something far more reliable, even if i had to pay an arm & a leg. I needed something known to be reliable. Looking in the images folder I see some bears, mini-ads, and such. SOmething I'm unfamiliar with.
I would now however would love to have a way to see a poster's filepath is corrupted that it would show in some manner for you to hunt down, break, and replace. This shall be far more important once we gain Rising World in a very matured and completed state years down the road.
-
This has now bothered me twice with how the world saves to Steam's cloud saving, yet the posters fail to carry with it in the single player worlds. Thanks to both my Patriot SSD failing on me twice I had to experience the posters becoming invisible that you had to find them, guess where they were, and break them. I would love to see them fixed in that they either: A) Have the images save into the world itself that they would carry with the save, or B) Have a slightly greyed out, striked out, N/A notice, or something along those lines to make me aware there's a poster there.
I know where most of my posters are, yet there'll be those few odd ones hiding away. I guess servers have it easier because they have it saved to a folder, yet the single player ones need to have the images saved into the world file, or something like that.
-
Nope, because nobody told me anything about it. Nobody bothers to tell me, or they assume I know everything. We're simply creating & upgrading technology at an alarming rate that it's difficult to keep up. Nobody told me about TRIM. Even then, that's troublesome with how died out so suddenly compared to other types of harddrives out there......
-------------
Edit:
Alright, so I did a bit of Goolging around and it seems it is indeed enabled automatically by Windows 10. It does it itself. -
I see.....
Yeah, I'm actually quite curious what kind of implementation Red51 has to make gravel so easily. He had something up his sleeve, and I'm still curious to see what that's all about with how easy it would be. I don't care if it's handheld tools, or if through machinery, just that I'd have the ability to produce more gravel to make roads from one point to the next. It would at first be for horses & camels, then railway, and then whenever we get cars for them. It's making me wonder if Red51 should add gravel pockets underground to allow you to mine those up to use for road construction. It's far more useful here than in Minecraft.
What kind of rock crushing machinery you have in mind? Anything? Tools for medieval & actual machinery in modern times? Trying to think of what the Medieval civilisation would have had access to in making gravel, among other sorts of stone types.
The limestone, marble, and everything else type suggestion is something I'd love to see also. The stuff like a mesa biome, swamp, jungle, among other things, even though you're trying to keep that thought simple.
-
Alright, I want to give people a warning that if you get a Patriot hard drive be highly cautious with them because they fail way too easily. They're good for the time they work, but they bust so hard that it hurts. Their lifespan seems to be about 3 to 6 months....... I had one at around February or March then it died at May. I had to get another one that it lasted me into November......A few months longer, yet same error of failing completely.
I had a 240 GB Patriot Blast SSD that now stalled out my desire to record more Rising World videos and I'm not one bit happy because every follower also counts on my end on Youtube. I'm not Weem or Vortac, and I've delayed my videos as it is. I had to get a Samsung SSD of a 250 GB size with a bit of a discount at $130 Canadian........ I now have to get OBS back, among other things to make episodes again....
Damn it......How frustrating. I now have to tell Red51 again that missing posters should glow in some manner so you can find them, hunt them down, and delete. That, or to upload the images onto the cloud so they can carry with the world when cloud saving onto a new hard drive.........
-
Likewise. I suggested to Red51 long ago to add in coffee & tea (green tea) in the manner you would hold it in 'Animal Crossing: New Leaf' game by grabbing it & drinking it in sips. I would grow a tea farm to have such a thing possible. That, and if it has various form of effects on the player & npcs to calm, warm, among other things. Even heal sicknesses.
Can't wait for player models & customization update to roll out so we can even get fishing so we can even cook salmon on the BBQ. A renewable food source & meat, something that would by-pass meat from farm animals when you can just eat salmon, various fish, sealife & such. More grills & such would be sweet.
That, and having rice farms to make onigiri, curry, among other things would be sweet. Even sushi. I'm waiting on turkey also, among other things. Being able to have a kitchen going, to cook, to make bread (something Vortac wanted to do in his video), among other awesome things.
Yeah, I guess that's why Red51 insisted we have the Plugin API so we could simply import our desires models so we could wait for what he's releasing. He wanted it out so we could add in various food types, among other things. 'Staticmodels' being one such plugin API I bet Red51 envisioned for us to use.
-
Yeah, I would like some gates as well. I wanted some for my home, yet had to go with smaller saloon doors.
