I love where Miiware is going (in detail) with that earthquakes would have to be connected to something else in the game. Not up to chance, but something with a warning sign you could make note of in various forms, including technology warnings. The moon phases would be one thing where a full moon could spawn a chance of a quake. That, or some nearby volcano causing predictable eruptions, among others. With the map going to be changed from its current playtesting to a single-ocean map a continent could be shaken a few spaces in any direction, but only if there's some active lava tube or volcano in the area.

It also seems I forgot to mention 7 Days to Die with how building destruction could work by turning blocks into rubble, if it's weak. Some wooden blocks could fall, some blocks could be damaged, and such. If you're in a wooden hut or a dirt hut then it's most likely, more so after a rainy day.

But yeah, I guess this is in poor taste with what happened to Italy lately that they need some time to recover.

Also, I'm surprised people actually want natural disasters here when on the Minecraft community people kept whining & moaning to the fullest how they don't want it because their progress would be destroyed. Everything they worked for would have been for naught, and that it just harms, doesn't add anything to the gameplay. I would support floods because there's tides of waves coming in and out, as well as thunderstormse and such. You would have to make sure your farmed crops are within a structure, and such. Anything in the water would degrade (except for trees).

Bread in a furnace is something I can see Red51 doing naturally without us suggesting it, yet to solidify that thought I +1 it. I can't wait to see bread, pies, pizza, cakes, and such being bakes in some sort of furnace. That however has to all wait for the cooking update, whenever that is.

Natural disasters is something I support. Be nice to have flooding, earthquakes (minus the whole ripping, but just shakes) to mess with building. if there's any weak builds then they would collapse, 7 Days to Die style, while stronger stone types be left intact. Thunderstorms, Tornadoes.......

We would really have to plan ahead and everything. I actually love it, yet there'll obviously people being against it because of losing their progress. Same with not wanting hostiles, zombies, and etc. A split community wanting 'realism', yet in a specific manner.

If not that, then something more 'standard' to the German needs.

GEMA is stirring up a hell of a lot of trouble, even when simply conversing with Red51 that this seems appropriate to have this, but with anti-GEMA sentiments for trying to stir up WW3 desires indirectly through their greediness & creepy practices.

If only I could do such myself. *defeated shrug*. Turn something silly into good fun. This joke can wait as the modding community matures, yet it's just a fun thought. I guess terrain adaptability is priority, as with maybe the SimpleBoats plugin, or whatever is planned.

Angry farmers who track your stealing bit while also making note of if you replant before attacking you, chasing you, and etc. Even placing a silent bounty on you to have bounty hunters & such come after you.

That, then there's the raccoon though of them going into chests & such. Maybe guard dogs, and etc. Make sure to bring a sleeping blow dark, or something along those lines to not kill NPCs, just stun them for a long while if you're a passive type player. Hostile bounty hunters? Just keep knocking them out in your style :)

And bring on the pain if the German citizens want to fight a war with GEMA. Seeing those protest images was relieving seeing that the German people indeed do care about their subculture & such. Nice. GEMA shall ironically be the one to cause WW3 with the mentality they have, even harming Rising World in the progress.

Graveytard with ghosts was something I mentioned long ago with a few member (A Canadian from the west coast). I do hope some form of that shall see life in this game. Graveyard would be more sensible, I guess.

I love the mention of scarecrow, fall coloure trees, pumpkin patches with scarecrows, among others. I have my Halloween rush ironically from Japanese Anime because Halloween seems dead to me in North AMerican (Canada). I get my Halloween rush from the commercially festive Japanese in their Japanese games that I love seeing Red51 doing something awesome for Halloween. Probably late for that with dungeons being enough for that.

Fenced farmland! Yes! Fenced farmland in various regions, styles, and such. Amused by the idea of helping or hindering an NPC farmer, something they should make note of. If you steal they should be more likely to attack you, even alerting other NPCs in hunting you down in a bounty. Should be a memory thing in the long term, Skyrim style (if possible).

I'm now curious what the update shall contain. Maybe some ventings towards GEMA? Delays caused by GEMA? :whistling:

An ATV with a small trailer behind it would be awesome. Seeing as how much we tend to haul resources it would be awesome with some people even hauling wood, food, or whatever. Even fishing, and such. Fishing might be a big thing that you'll have to haul it further inland & such.

Minecarts & train cars with the ability to hold large crates would be awesome. Would be nice if Red51 could look into giving us forklifts to pick up & drop various crates onto trains & trucks, among others.

Sorry, but no zombies & fantasy related content. Community voted no

    --------------

Odd jokes & jabs aside, I approve of this. I'm in favour of lava tubes, water pockets & tubes, crystal/quartz cavern pockets, and this Dwarf settlement. I however strongly recommend that we steer away from anything 'traditional' while trying to give it a unique touch. No fantasy medieval, yet keeping it as 'realistic' as possible. Give them their own world with actual writing, Skyrim style.

I'll once again bring up that 'GATE' anime for how fun that was, and how it can be cleverly tied into a Twilight Forest type mod from Minecraft for Rising World. If you want, we could work towards a goal of trading with these underground dwellers with when trading with them could also bring them upward (a trigger for your interaction for their curiousity) to allow them to simply be seen. Any immersive interactions with the terrain would also be amusing, such as fishing, cutting trees & replanting, among others. Maybe some odd airship related happening, or something.

Damn.....I support this idea so much, yet can also see this working into a a very rare spawning that you'd probably find them favouring a specific biome to be underground, and that biome would also influence the type of buildings underground.

If you get Dwarves then I'd be amused with crafty (GATE) Dark Elves, as with rare sorts of 'fantasy' civilizations.

That would be awesome, yet I wouldn't know how to do that. Having a dice roll on it would be sweet while adding to the fun of it all. Would be sweet to see how that works so I wouldn't have to keep pestering him, yet that's a bit too late now. Who's going to release it first? :whistling:

I guess if Red51 was to add in vehicles that they'd be pretty small. Something to consider would be this Merc' truck which could be 'generalized' for our light mining, logging, & such type resource runs:

    https://twitter.com/4ever__dead/status/790762950445281280

That's awesome. I guess the biggest vehicle might be a box truck, ones you see for moving. Having played Euro Truck Sim 2 & American Truck Sim has me curious about those long haul trucks though. If they'd be possible.

Well, thanks to this new API it's awesome that we can mess about with objects happily. Messing about with 'Simplecars' has me seeing the potential of both Rising World & the plugin world that we can have both boats & airships/planes roaming about the world, if in a very glitchy manner.

If you're in command of a boat or plane then it would be straight forward, yet you'd have to set the boat at water level & airship/plane at a higher level where it won't hit objects. Not sure how reliable that would be when I'm finding the cars in 'SimpleCars' to be highly shaky, even hurting your health at times when you hover over the terrain. You spazz out too much when the vehicle is moving.

The potential is there to have airships & planes, and I'm amused by it. Just find a nice airship model, script it properly, then have it wander off into the distance with the player in control. Maybe not with other players (as mentioned by Red51 through movement complexities & such), but with a scripted function of a storage capacity borrowing from a big crate, or something.

It be awesome if cars could react to the terrain, as well as any 'flying' vehicles to ascend & descend so Movecraft could be made obsolete in Minecraft. :P

You know what's both awesome & frustrating at the same time? While testing out SimpleCars v1.3 plugin that cotton spawns in already spawned chunks, yet I was either too blind to see it, or it somehow spawned secretly in a newer update when I wasn't looking. I spent a good 30 minutes traveling FAR to newer chunks when this update appeared, yet it appeared right at the doorsteps of Niska Village when I was following the beach coast & such. Now I'm half-relieved that newer update content can appear in older chunks, yet it trolls the living hell out of you.

    <Insert facedesk emote here>

I'm just loving how cotton now spawns on pre-spawned chunks, and that I can soon have a vehicle to drive around with after 'Simplecars' gets polished more. I'm still hyped for horses though. Dungeons then player models to allow for horses. Horses & man-made gravel......Oh, that's going to be sweet!

I can't stop hyping this game up. It's hitting all the awesome sweet spots

I'm loving this. Now if only it could react to the terrain this would be an epic plugin while being a serious placeholder until vehicles come in. Red51 could delay vehicles with this plugin being around until more important updates are released.

zfoxfire mentioned we should have wagons to move about in the world for the Medieval type of technology. I agree. Also, that refueling idea is awesome, and I love it. Need to figure out how that works 100%, yet that's awesome.

Yesterday I tried to make a video, yet it seems I may have to do a follow up eventually when the plugin matures a bit. This plugin "had" (or maybe still does have) tons of very buggy & glitchy happenings.

    - Rising World [0.7.3] - Simplecars Plugin:

    - Plugin here: SimpleCars

This plugin sure proves what's possible in Rising World. You can easily install the mod, run it, type the commands in chat, as well as use the arrow keys to mess about. All one has to do is type the following: [/car help] - [/car list] - [/car lexus] - [/car police] & position. Of course, without the [ ] in the chat.

You can also break the car from your world by hitting it, even entering & exiting it via the F key.

I guess I could add it in myself, yet would love to drive a Skoda Octavia, Ferrari F430, among others at safer speeds. Not as fast as the police, yet at a more reasonable speed. That's crazy stuff. The vehicles right now would be far more perfect for boats on water that you would use yourself. Would love to see a boat scrip, with storage capaciity as bonus (in the plugin request subforum).

As this plugin is now I'd prefer Red51's horses for safety reasons, yet that's still somewhat off in the distance.

    - Rising World [0.7.3] - Niska Village - Ep 6: Medical Clinic:

I said I would make a medical clinic, and I started one in this episode. It shall be highly important to make one with each coming update, more so when more illnesses & diseases shall play a big part. That, and environmental effects. I wanted to have a place to store all the bandages, splints, and everything needed to make one healthy all around.

This video contains a lot of rambling, 'lost-in-thought' moments, as well as bugs, glitches, talking about features, showing off the new bow renders, as well as making up for lost time by being twice as long. Apparently cotton plants grow watermelons, and it was very odd when it happened.

I wanted to prep for a Halloween episode, yet I don't have orange blocks to make a pumpkin structure. Such a shame.

That's both frustrating, if now hilarious that I know what happened. I was harvesting cotton to populate the storage crate of my medical building with cotton, cloth, & hemp, yet when I harvested cotton from the cotton plant it turned into a watermelon.

My loom also disappeared when I placed it. Saloon doors also locked up on me again in single player heh.

@ArcticuKitsu & @Darwin_Blackwolf: Oh actually we have a way in mind to turn rocks into gravel, it's just not implemented yet ^^ But I guess it won't take too long.

Nice! I hope we can end up using it in the near future so I can also remove the dirt pathways with gravel. I'll have to repave my roadways with gravel. Can't wait for it now that you have a plan for it. Good luck with it!

Edit: Would it be too much to ask to add in orange, dark orange, darker green & such to make a pumpkin structure in Rising World? Probably too late by now to make it for Halloween.

Alright, this one may be out in the odd zone for this community, yet if you guys/girls want to assist me in experimenting then that be much appreciated. There's something I need help with because I can't program, and it's also something I want to experiment with at the same time which also might be beneficial to the community by using lessons learned from this to be used in other scripts & plugins. There's this now "dead" figure line named 'Busou Shinki' that spawned both an anime & figure line, as well as a few games, yet Konami was brainless by pulling the plug on it & everything else it had that it just died out. I now want to experiment with something by both adding these 15 cm tall robots into the game while also seeing if they can be programmed like 'Turtles' in Minecraft's Computercraft plugin.

    - Busou Shinki: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Busou_Shinki
    - Turtle: http://computercraft.info/wiki/Turtle

I can't really find a model anymore, yet if anybody wants to do a 'statue figure' modeling then be my guest. I guess until I find something nothing shall happen, yet I want to try out the following:

    ------------

    - Statue/Furniture:

In a basic form I would find it interesting to somehow have 15 cm tall statue forms of them in various poses. Whatever would best suit them in their static position that's how they could be displayed on furniture, and such. That, or even have furniture & acecssories based on them added into the game, such as 'hug pillows', desks, tables, or whatever else. Even a battle arena type accessory. Something simple, static, something to display.

Lore wise the 15 cm robots would sleep in a cradle to charge their battery supply back up.
    ----

    - Interaction [Turtle Element]:

For those that have fiddled with a Turtle in Computercraft may know where I'm going with this. Basically interact & prompt lines to pop up which would then have them roam about, mine, tend to farms, or whichever. Maybe even fly about aimlessly, or stay as a static figure. Whatever you can end up programming smoothly they should try doing it. As much as they're a combat focused robots they can also tend to light duties. Some can even fly, as well as swim underwater. Some are vehicles, some are just more 'human-like'. Various stuff to attach to them. I'm aware they would stay static, yet it be interesting to see their 'staticness' tending to stuff in a "for science" manner.

The purpose of this one is to see if we can give commands to objects for them to roam about, to detect if there's farming to be done & to dump the food into the chests. How many they detected would pop back into the nearby assigned chest, or something. This might be more of an NPC thing to do for Red51, yet again......experimentation and...."For science!'

    Nope, not anymore.

    -------

    - Bonus Bonus [Frame Arm Girl]:

Seeing as how Konami brianlessly killed everything there's a new figure line in Japan from Kotobukya which continues on where Busou SHinki was abruptly ended. It's up to whomever wants to assist to add in a static object(s) of either Busou Shinki or Frame Arm Girl into this to experiment with the API scripting. Treat them as model kits, furniture, or to see if you can interact with the object directly to command them like Turtles from Computercraft.

Yeah.....I'll need to hunt down a model to use, and a curious person to assist me with this. If you're interested then do let me know. I'll also understand if nobody wants to for how "anime" or "Japanese" this may be, yet at least think of the Minecraft Turtles before you shrug this off into nothingness. :whistling:

Alright, I see this thread has been checked off. What I consider checked off being vehicles. The rest is still open for scripting. Let's try adding storage capacity to vehicles, as well as a crafting bench?

Thanks for the ' SimpleCars ' plugin! That's awesome. Good luck polishing that up until when Red51 adds in his own.

I'm curious when people shall add in boats & trains though. Anybody want to tackle that?

So you mean something like a way to place gravel to create gravel paths?

More like having a way to break up stone into what you have gravel as now so we can have unlimited amounts by using various types of hammers, machinery, and such to produce gravel. There's both natural & man-made gravel with USA being the leader in gravel roads, next to Russia having the most used in roadways. It's up to you if you want to add (visual) variety to gravel, yet what we have now would be fine, just a simple way to crush them with tools.

If we can have a specialized pickaxe, hammer, and/or machinery to crush various types of stone types then that's fine. If it resorts to using a bench then make it a rock crushing type machine with a hopper for stone to drop in & gravel to pop out somewhere in a filter/scooper thingy.

This should do nicely for when horses, camels, and donkeys come along so we can have defined pathways for them to traverse long distances with a natural pathway made. No blocky Minecraft mess, just adaptable roadways. Basically what 'Darwin_Blackwolf' mentioned, and something I brought up before in the suggestion thread on here, and a few times on the steam forums. It's an important feature when considering roads & transportation.
