...Edit items in a blueprint by editing them with a program?

I am curious if someone could do this to give themselves items.

For example, someone makes a Blueprint of, say a Blockbench and they want a Tier Two Workbench. Could they change some things(like, item Ids maybe)
in the Blueprint file and give themselves a Tier Two Workbench?

Yes, basically you can edit the blueprint files You have to unzip the blueprint and change the various bytes of the file. Some time ago I've explained the blueprint format here: Blueprint format/API?(I've updated the post btw to include the new terrain data now)
There is also a blueprint editor made by @Minotorious, but I'm afraid it doesn't work with newer blueprints anymore...

I have been away on vacation for most of the summer but I intend to update the blueprint editor in the next few months

bei aktuell gebauten funktioniert der Blueprint Editor bei mir nicht mehr. Bei älteren blaupausen geht er noch.
