The "Copy block" button is the middle mouse button by default. F is used for interaction by default. However, since the 0.8 update, interaction input cancels all other input that's bound to the same key, so unfortunately you cannot use F for interaction and block copy, for example... it would be necessary to use another key for that instead 
I have mine set to U since the middle mouse button isn't working for that function since the update.

, I always assign the f key to the mouse to make the building as un-clunky as possible. Maybe ill have to get a new mouse with extra buttons on it to get the copy function back as it really does save a fair bit of time when building.

I like to have all the frequently used controls on the mouse. But Ive set up another mouse just for RW with 2 extra buttons on the side which can be assigned to different keys, so that seems to work for copy and F and I can have the radial menu on it too 
Ohh you mean 2 functions on the same button? Yes i believe that is what happened. Before the update it allowed you to have the copy and the f assigned to the middle mouse button so when you crosshaired an element and you were in gm1 it would copy the block and when you were placing things in a furnace for example it used to work as the f key. The update stopped that so only one function would work on the middle mouse button I have to now use a different mouse for RW which has an extra 2 buttons which Ive assigned to copy and f.
